There are many ufo sightings in the Worthing/Sussex area. Most of them are MJ12 Dragoneye's and there are some which when seen up cloae are the size of football pitches.. I've seen plently of them and I've also seen the UK military trying to keep up with them. 6 lynx choppers were chasing two over Findon one night when I was there.
Yes - they are classic lanterns - the burn-out phase confirms it. I do which people would stop using the things - they are dangerous to ripe crops and stubble as well as livestock.
Chinese lanterns. I live in west sussex two miles north of the s. downs. Last summer, a local wedding released some of these. They sailed over our garden at dusk, easily identifiable for what they were. We sat in the garden, and watched them for at least an hour drifting over the Downs, gaining altitude, appearing to hover in geometric formations, some suddenly disappearing. I wish people would stop doing it, so we can concentrate on the real ones.
i live in cannock and there are always strange lights in the sky, wensday i saw a white light with a tint of blue pulsating in the sky traveling away from the town centre, anyone else see it?
there has been loads tho, a stupid amount really its always in the chase post about lights in the sky, i use to live in tamworth but since iv come to cannock iv saw 3 ufos already in the past 3 years compared to none in tamworth
u should see some of the shit we see in Billingshurst and the South Downs!

Well! - I now see it like this...
There's Three Possibilities!
1/ There's a secret Chinese Lantern Club going on somewhere.
No one knows about them.
But they probably have a secret forum and they all decide together what nights to let the lanterns off.
2/ Chinese Lanterns can travel a hell of a long way.
From one end of the UK to the other.
I don't know... Perhaps even country to country. ( Jokin! )
I also had my first sighting : 12/09/09
3/ UFOs Mimicking Chinese Lanterns.

There have been a few sightings in West Sussex in the past week...some also reported in Wales...I think we're experiencing a new UFO sightings wave.

Chinese lanterns. You can tell by the dim light being given of which is typical of a burning object such as a lantern.
