If you're only recording one track, it doesn't matter.

You would want to record in mono, if you are creating an overall mix between vocals and other instruments (the Session View in Audition 1.5), and want to pan the instrument/vox in the mix to the left or right.

Then in mixdown, it will mix all of the tracks down into a stereo file.

You can't get Audition for Mac (not to my knowledge anyway). Audacity and ProTools are great though, and they'll run on Mac OS.

ihave adobe 1.5 it works good with the pc mothere bord sond card butt if you go to use a interface or a exsond card it will bleed if you go to rechord a new track wwhen you are playing to a nothere track its not like you have the playing track are to what makes it bleed when you use a interface or a exsternal sound card

Just a suggestion, you might want to lower the background noise on the recording before you apply any delay/echo effects, otherwise, you'll be removing some of the effect that you added. I'd also advise against compressing/limiting the recording too many times while you're working on it. Typically, these should be the last processes you apply, otherwise you'll be introducing unnecessary distortion to the wave peaks. Otherwise, this is a good demo of the kind of things you can do with Audition.

Would it be better to get rid of the room ambience noise (what you edited at the end of your video,4 mins in) before reverb effects etc are added? so you don't end up cutting off the reverb effects?

I only thought of cutting out the noise after I'd finished the tutorial and decided it would be a worthwhile tip to include, so I did it then.

To normalise and compress, use the settings in the Effects > Amplitude menu.

As I said in the message before about your recording problem, I suspect it's a hardware issue or perhaps a problem in the Windows Recording Mixer: check that the 'microphone' input is selected and the balance slider is central.

ik but it lets me record fine on sony acid. on sony acid i went to options and preferenfes and then i went to preferences and audio device and etc. then there is like realteck,microsoft sound mapper,and direct sound surround mapper and i forgot which one i chose but it had optin that said something mobile pre left and mobile pre right and when i made mobile pre left it recorded evenly. so there isnt anything wront with the set up i need to kno how to change it the way i changed it on acid
