Yes, beltdrivecliff is very close, as it is actually 1929, beginning life as a Flying Squirrel 498cc tourer, which was modified (& reregistered) in 1953 for racing. I bought it as a box of bits in 1969, to rebuild it for pleasure riding only. I have no interest in returning it to original, as I regard the changes as part of it's history - also it rides so well, with reasonable brakes for a vintage machine. Scotts are very smooth 2 stroke twins - have a look at the Scott Owners' Club web page.
