This one does move fast and I guess it depends on what you like in your anime, wether you'll like it or not, but I thought they did a wonderful job with all the information as long as you pay attention.

@jshowa4 Your Mileage May Vary. To me, Hughes death still had just as much impact and thats amazing because viewers grew attached to him in such a short time. Once you've seen all of Brotherhood you might change your mind. FMA, to me, was extremely broken. It just becomes obvious towards the end that they really didn't kno where the wanted to go with it from the start, while in Brotherhood EVERYTHING ties back into the beginning. The first anime was definitely slower, yet personally

Don't get me wrong, some of it is still bloody fantastic, (specifically OVA1 - Blind Alchemist, OVA2 - Simple People, OVA4 - Another Man's Battlefield, and episodes 1,10,19,22,45,53,54,56,61), but the quality is too inconsistent for me to enjoy and the horrible treatment of the Ishvalan Massacre manga volume is unforgivable.

@VoidWeapon In terms of the manga, the reveal takes place over a quarter of the way through the story's run (it's 27 volumes long and the reveal is at the very end of volume 7). In this anime, it's about only about one fifth of the way in, and about four fifths in the first anime.

Really says a lot about how much this show tried to cover in fourteen episodes. It also says a lot about how much material the first had to work with (it even ended up using omake from the manga, like "I LOVE DOGS!").
