The first riff is wrong. It starts on an F#. not B. And use the low F# (2nd fret Estring) since its played on a syth it matches better. SO its low F#,C#,E(Dstring). high F#, E, C#, B, C#.

Use your pinky more. It'll save you the hassle of moving your entire hand to play something with your ring finger, when you could just put your pinky down. A lot less effort, makes for more fluid lines.

A few tips:

1) Use your pinky!

2) Get the keys of songs right (ABtD is in E not F)

3) Listen to some bass songs, not just simple riffs

4) Listen to Rush, just listening to YYZ made me a better bassist

5) Look up some better bassists
