  • I only hear him in my left ear bud

  • This review sucked. Cutting a couple apples isn't a test of anything. I want my minutes 6 minutes back

  • I thought I could use the Yoshi Peeler to shave. Bad Idea! I recommend you don't do that!

  • potatoes, boil em mash em, stick em in a stew!

  • Cut up duh puhtateuh

  • Sure....He's just yer average honest Joe with a knife...which has a certain value to it not to be overlooked. True, this knife just seems good and sharp, not scary sharp. But don't undervalue its edge retention.

Many/most ceramic knives offer free sharpening. I was unclear here if this one does too. THAT is the key here...if so, and if painless, it's a killer good deal....particularly for the 80% of Americans who can't/don't sharpen their knives. That much S30V steel would cost $200+.

  • the browning of the aple.. the knifeskills and the peeler.. this video is retarded all the way

  • from your cut motions, this knife isn't nearly as sharp as a kyocera, nor is it sharper than a properly sharpened steel knife. I have this knife and it's a joke. You get what you pay for, which isn't much.

  • Ofcourse it's browning. The apple is oxidising.

  • Weak sauce!

  • ok...but... can it be sharpened? if not then i dont want it. id rather have a dull, hardened steel knife that i can sharpen, rather then a plastic piece of crap that you'll have to throw away after so many uses....

  • @free00to00ryhme It's ceramic. Not plastic. And no, you can't sharpen it. Ceramic knives are very brittle, but very hard.

  • @free00to00ryhme Remember, there's a lifetime guarantee that it wont dull, and if it does you'll get a replacement.

  • Cutting IS SLIDING AND PUSHING ON THE KNIFE

  • Crappy knives and peeler just because he has to put so much pressure on the knives to get them to cut. Going to chip the blade with it hitting the board that hard when it cuts through.

  • who uses a knife while sitting? honestly, was waiting to watch him cut himself.

  • i could make it blunt in a month while i work

  • 3:59 - "takes a few mun its" lol

  • this guy should learn how to cut and peel... srsly thats not normal - idiot

  • Thats not how you cut. You're gonna lose a finger.

  • That peeler was shit....

  • Oh my god... Get out of my left ear!

  • such a waste of food but an awesome vid xD

  • apple get brown due to the air (oxygen) n temprature in surroundin not because of knives. the higher the temprature the more quick apple gets brown because temprature increases the rate of reaction.

  • Since its ceramic, it'd probably make it through a metal detector right? Sad to see something like this can be sold on tv on a day like today 9/11/11

  • @eatsleepbike quit crying.

  • @setsallset Just making a point. I don't fuss

  • @eatsleepbike If you did your research before crying about 911, you would know that all ceramic blade imported from Japan or any country has to pass customs. There are enough metal shaving in the ceramics to let off a metal detector.

  • @eatsleepbike pardon me. I meant "set off" a metal detector, not "let off."

  • Yoshi Knife vs. Fingertips

  • But will it blend?

  • very good job with the tomato

  • you should try standing when you cut, is much easier ~__~

  • can i cut hrew humans O.o just asking its not like i have someone tied to a chair in my closet or anything lolololol hahahha ...................

  • Yes it's true you have to use a wood or plastic cutting board, but you should ALWAYS use a wood or plastic cutting board as Granite and Glass Cutting boards will dull your knife.

  • bought one and like it. not a bad product and at ross it sells for 13 so not bad. honestly he did the best he could with cutting and he serve the purpose of showing how it works! great vid.

  • giant scam DO NOT BUY DIRECT!! THEY CHARGED ME $227. use ebay if u really want one. They chip easy though and the fragments end up in your food. This ruined a Christmas dinner for a family i know...

no one would eat anything that the knife touched...

u gotta use a wood cutting board or soft plastic xtremely hard/fragile blade and no chopping. miracle blade 3 is a much better option.

  • Tomato is NOT vegetable it is a fruit

  • ok, how much did they pay you?

  • Sorry dude - u don't know how to cut shit. Paring knife is for hand-held items, chef knife for chopping. Good video though. That would be like me explaining how to change a tire - I wouldn't know what to do.

  • My Yoshi Blade isn't the same shape as this asshole's, he sucks at cutting Shit, he needs to go back to cutting school

  • my chopsticks cup more precisely than those ceramic sh1ts !!!

  • A steel blade doesn't brown an apple or change the flavor of food either. That apple WILL brown when it is exposed to oxygen in the air regardless of the knife used.

  • @NETWizzJbirk my thoughts exactly... i don't know what the hell this dude was babbling about :-D

  • my meats to the right

  • It's great for the price, but... aren't you supposed to use the paring knife for paring and not slicing? And yes, he doesn't know how to hold that knife for cutting...

  • taking shaving a potato to a whole new, literal level.

  • Before doing a review for a knife, you should know how to hold a knife properly. -__-

  • Comment removed

  • Ceramic? Soooo.... if you drop it on the floor will it shatter into pieces?

  • @doug3673 Yeah another guy on youtube (jakatack69 or something like that) did a review and while he was cutting something pieces of the cermaic were chipping off. x_x

  • Tomatoes arent vegetables

  • thumbs up if u think michael myers would use this for easy killing

  • Apples turn brown because they contain an enzyme called tyrosinase that reacts with oxygen and iron-containing phenols that are also found in the apple. The oxidation reaction basically forms a sort of rust on the surface of the fruit. You see the browning when the fruit is cut or bruised because these actions damage the cells in the fruit, allowing oxygen in the air to react with the enzyme and other chemicals.

  • i wonder if he know pearing means taking the skin off..

  • To all of those who are talking about his cutting "technique": His job isn't to show how to cut the fruits and vegetables. It's to show and demonstrate the as-seen-on-tv items and to rate them on how efficient they are.

Obviously, the "technique" isn't up to most of your expectations but if the knife is this easy or hard to use if you can't properly cut, then it should be that much easier or harder to use if you CAN cut with the proper "cutting" technique.

    This is my opinion.

  • @ShinzouVideos And I don't say this to start an argument. Please forgive me if this somehow offends anyone (although I don't know how that can happen).

  • The tomato is a fruit

  • Funny, this does not look that sharp ... when he cuts the tomato at a little after 3:00 the knife does not go through the bottom of the slice.

This guy is kind of foolish ... to see if it browns you would have to cut one slice with a metal knife and the other with the ceramic.

You cannot use these ceramic blades in as many situations as you can a metal knife blade ... so it is not a good substitute. They can chip and break easily too,

  • Nah it's not the knife. He's not doing the motion right to cut shit.

  • Don't fall for THIS scam. Buy it from WalMart for under $20. This buying it over TV/Internet eventually cost me $82. It is a good knife, but buying these TV offers is the biggest fucking SCAM on earth.

  • it kinda seems like it has a hard time cutting shit

  • This is a case where my eyes see one thing and my ears hear another. My eyes are clearly seeing that the knife doesn't work as advertised, but my ears hear the man telling me it does.

  • TOMATOS ARN'T A VEGGIE!!!!!!!!!!! 2:41

  • i love how he forgot to point out that you cant cut shit with this knife except for vegetables and (some!) fruits or boneless meat. the ceramic is going to crack pretty fast. stupid comparison to the 400 dollar knives

  • heheheeh patayda

  • wish they had one with a serrated edge

  • puh tate uh

  • @edwardmoffet LMMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow the knife is sharp enough to cut the carrot. im so buying it

  • too small... need a carving knife

  • why would i opt for a ceramic blade instead of a metal one?

  • Wheres the sound?

  • At one point he cuts a tomato, tomatoes are used to measure the sharpness of the knife, if it can cut straight down with ease it can cut flesh well. This knife is useless. Thanks for the review.

  • I bought this set. Paid $19.00 and paid $19.00 for shipping in handling.

On the box they only paid for me to recieve it $1.49

Emailled the guy he said we have to make money too...

It has nothing to do with business you lost business. And the worth thing is the product is garbage. Used it less then a month and have chips on the knife already...

    What a product...

  • who the hell peels a potato like that?! no wonder it doesn't work!

  • either you're fucking huge or that thing is extremely small. i didnt expect that

  • The peeler is awful, and i can cut a carrot with ease using a butter knife. with everything he cuts his hands jerk so much because the blade is so dull. LOL and they had to cut half of the pineapple scene!!! That thing looks TERRIBLE!!

  • it seems like a good knife but it needs to be longer

  • this guy peels like a wuss. he's using like 2 fingers and holding his hand as far away as humanly possible while using as little force as possible lol

  • Dude, move your knife back and forth when you slice. You're using too much downward pressure.

  • is that how u shave?

  • why is he so stressed?

  • these actually work! i have one. haha

  • 'We're gonna slice up some vegetables.'

    *Cuts lemon*

  • Comment removed

  • @StewieGriffin44 not only did he cut a lemon... He cut a tomato as well! :P

  • @StewieGriffin44 not only did he cut a lemon... He cut a tomato as well! :P

  • So, hang on: This guy's basically showing us a peeler that doesn't peel properly, a selection of blunt knives that don't cut well, and he's telling us that they're 5* out of 6??? And they're good because they're ceramic? how?

Never mind that he's using the wrong knives for the wrong jobs (a paring knife to chop up a carrot?), this guy doesn't understand the purpose of a review.

  • small knife

  • wow. fruit browns because it oxidizes, not because of the knife?

  • @k3ll4yyy Acidic fruits and vegetables also react to the metal ions in steel knives and that's another factor that contributes to browning. There's a marginal difference a ceramic blade and a steel blade in this regard.

  • @obscure60s oohh i see (: thanks for the info!

  • lol you can hear the blade slam.

  • Tomato is a vegetable? lol

  • bought it love it

  • Just a fun fact- In Japanese, if you're "Yoshi" that means you have no parents. Yoshi means orphan.

  • the knife is sharp as fuck i almost cut my sack off with it

  • @RcUniverseGuy Do you normally keep your balls on your cutting board?

  • looks like a cheap piece of crap

  • Looks like this product isn't that great. The peeler straight up SUCKED! When he was slicing the tomato it didn't even slice all the way through a couple of times, he had to apply a bit of force when cutting the carrots. This product.... not worth it.

  • @Fish61324 do you own one? the knife is worth it i use it everyday its sharp as fuck razor sharp.

  • i thinck it is made to cut all the way throght and not get dull

  • 2:16 ....WTF IS A PAYTA?

  • too bad the blade can only be used on fruits, vegetables and BONELESS meats.

  • I thought oxidation causes browning...won't make an apple from going brown?? really? LMAO

  • Miracle blade is better and better deal

  • @avatarluigi theyre not good either

  • this guy just looks like an idiot.

  • I had yoshi blade for 2 months and already having a prblm with cutting tomatos!

    another commercial BS!!!

Waste of my time and money

  • I had yoshi blade for 2 moths and already having a prblm with cutting tomatos!

    another commercial BS!!!

Waste of my time and money

  • Wow, stone tools now that a new idea....lol. Nice review, keep up the good work.

  • Star Reviews, You should Review the Bonzai Knife.

  • This Vid is BORING! I need a better review on this blade, I prefer someone who can actually cut better!!!

  • this dude sucks at cutting shit

  • @jonhull22 Virtually, This knife sucks itself, as you see; I am a trained Sous Chef [Lol I'm shittin with ya] and i have definitely used this knife while choppin some shit up and it did adequately, but not good.

  • @jonhull22 U R RIGHT. I give him a D-

  • @jonhull22 he really is no cook :-)

  • has this guy actually peeled vegetables?

  • ok lolll apple always turn brown ..salade leave is affected by metal so that wouldhave being a better test hahaha

  • this is a horribly produced video.

  • MARIO BLADE , PIKA BLADE , AVATAR BLADE

  • @baozeng pika blade sound good haha imagine cuting your food with a blade that cut the molecule it self using electricity

  • I thumbed up, but I think the point is that this guy doesn't have to be a chef. This isn't marketed to chefs but to people who probably aren't chefs. So I give the notion that he isn't chef a thumbs up, but you sir, get a fail for not seeing the point.

  • Stainless Steel = longevity, Ceramic = broken easily, use a bit of logic sometime.

  • Also, oxidation will brown any apple regardless of what you cut it with. If you want an apple that's not brown toss it in lemon juice or find a room free of oxygen.

  • The yoshi blade can cut through a meta fence it's fuckin sharp

  • The yoshi blade can cut through a metal fence no problem fuckin sharppp :D

  • Can it cut through a shoe?

  • Read the reviews. Not a guy who got paid to do this crappy review. Yoshiblade is pure crap, and the company charges BS shipping and other charges.

  • an ok job? the peeler looks like its doing a terrible job

  • what with the gay index-finger-on-top technique?

  • I think had the tester been standing it would have made for a better demonstration. He seemed to be putting some extra muscle into his cutting motion which probably had less to do with the blade itself but more with the awkward positioning.

  • the peeler looks like a fucking razor

  • @Angelofsky32

    It's called oxidation retard

  • @hockeyluver93 No... it is not oxidization.

    curriculumsupport.education.nsw.gov.au/secondary/science/assets/aifst/Experiments/apple_browning.pdf

  • @hockeyluver93 Apples and ceramics don't oxidize. Only metals oxidize as they react with oxygen to form a metal oxide.

  • @eBiology You are incorrect please research before posting

  • @zeosrule No need research, I am doing this in my chemistry class right now. And for the record, I am mentioning the reaction (because most people don't understand the meaning of oxidation) between oxygen and a metallic element and not the loss of electrons to form a cation.

  • i use a lazer to cut my food, it never becomes dull =D

  • it looks like plastic

  • Just do what we do. My husband bought me some decent full tang knives for $5 each and keeps them VERY sharp for me. He keeps them so sharp they will cut you and you wont know it til your bleeding everywhere. No fussing with costly knives that you have to send away for to be replaced because you can't sharpen ceramic like you can steel. Save your self the time and money and get full tang knives at wal-mart and keep them sharp yourself.

  • i can cut a carrot with a fork....

  • @snowfool111 I can cut a carrot with a fork with half force than this "blade".

  • the air hitting the apple is called "Enzymic Action"...

  • notice how hard this guy is pressing with his finger on the blade - doesn't seem that sharp.

  • @alanckaye he presses harder because in general he holds the knife incredibly wrong. leaning the back end of the knife in the palm of his hand so it makes it more difficult.

  • @alanckaye no, that is of course if the tomato got smushed by how hard he was pressing it though, it went cleanly through so it for sure was pretty sharp

  • @alanckaye because he is sitting down! so he cant use his arms to cut but finger, thats why!

  • his technique sucks

  • @BrandonWosilis girls mostly cook.

  • @BrandonWosilis well the video isn't on how good this guy can cut its a review of the yoshi blade not a review on this guys skills of cooking.

  • Oh yeah..........just don't drop it.

  • A mandoline slicer with a ceramic blade would be nice.........

  • lol, the company won't be able to replace anything when they go out of business in a few years.. there is a reason most people don't use ceramic knives. they aren't great.. spend your money on german made knives or swiss, or even japanese if ur worried about cost.

  • he doesn't know how to peel, thats the problem. lol I loooves my yoshi blade.

  • Mine stained after I cut a banana and tried washing it off. Any suggestions?

  • i love feeling steel

  • who sit's down to cut there food

  • Just go for a Fallkniven A1. It's a lot more expensive dollar-wise, but the YoshiBlade will cost you more in the long run because that is a piece of shit that doesn't work.

  • who uses a paring knife to cut pineapple give me a break. or do u really sit down to cut so u dont get the full use sitting down unless ur in a wheel chair so get a grip guy.

  • @kodiakprincess It shouldn;'t matter. The knife is advertised as never needing to be sharpened due to its strength.

  • you're not supposed to chop like he is it clearly says it in the directions

  • So it's a 4 or 5 inch blade. That would be why it's so cheap. Useless for cutting ANYTHING.

The Paring knife is nice. But screw the "full size" blade.

  • i choped all 5 of my fingers off so now i can only type with one hand oh yea its a pretty good blade because it cut off all 5 fingers in one swipe

  • this is cool

  • A yoshi blade and a sonic blade????what's next???A MEGAMAN BLADE????
