@werewolf666beast sv1000 is a nice bike. Fairly cheap too and a nice linear power plant due to the vtwin engine.

In some ways, it's probably a lot easier to ride than a zx6r, which is optimised for track riding. It's probably cheaper too.

@werewolf666beast Get an RVF 400 or VFR. Plenty of power for starting out and much better bikes IMO. ZXR 400s have a rep for breaking down, but still they're a great bikes. I'd go with a 400 either way if I was you.

I ride a 250r as of now, looking to upgrade to either a 650 or just jump to a litre like this z1000.

If you ride a 250R, your best bet is to upgrade first to a 650R, and then jump to the Z1000, or even go from the 650R to the ZX-6R, since it's got the same style of engine as the Z1000 (inline four, as opposed to the parallel twin of the 650R). I rode a 650R a while back before I crashed it in a turn, and now I'm thinking about looking for something with a little more "umph". Though the 650R is nothing to scoff at... it certainly was nice for all-around riding!

Whatever you do, always do it safely. Wear your gear, and always stunt within the supervision of other friends, just in case something goes horribly wrong. You don't want to end up another Squidly-statistic on the freeway somewhere because you thought pulling a wheelie on the interstate would be a good idea.
