  • Easily my favorite song of the mid-90s alt-rock genre. I loved STP back then, and this was the best they did. Never fails to get me pumped, and I have to listen 3 or 4 times in a row, even 17 years (dear God) later.

  • holy shit

  • Holy hot DAMN this song rocks! Incredible solo!

  • Anything stone temple pilots

  • @biddixjosh25 pretty much...

  • double neck guitars are for pussies Xd , Dean rules

  • after watching this video.... Who says Pearl Jam is > than STP.... Don't think so.

  • Don't apologize for the quality. It is AWESOME.

  • they NEED to release this on dvd

  • This light show fucking rules!

  • I'm 15 and I wish music like this came out today. I just missed this generation and it sucks so bad.

  • @crimewriter95 Hey crime, thanks for the props on that generations' music, don't worry bout missing it, start a new one!!! :)

  • @godroxdahowse Hope see this kid rocking out :D

  • Dean's solo=WIN

  • love STP been listening since i was in like 3rd grade.. Wish i'd be bale to see them in their prime like this

  • wow "born of a broken man" by rage against the machine. .totall copy .. at least the second band copied who ever did it first

  • @BulletProofBacon

You are saying RATM copied STP, right? "Born of a broken man" is from 1999 and "Army ants" is from 1994!

  • I just realized this was the best song on the album. It hits you like BAM.

  • All elements perfection - let's not forget the great drumming! Just totally delicious.

  • Great song from best album in the world!

  • Understatement of the century but fuck me i miss music like this!

  • Dean is such a great guitarrist. The intro is fantastic. That's an amazing performance, and STP is a awesome band!!

  • RoXoN . . . xBx

  • This is from my favourite STP Album, Purple

  • what`s dean playing before the song?

  • @jonigrau almost sounds like Creed - Torn

  • @theoneguy19 this performance is from 1994 and "Torn" is from 1997

  • @theoneguy19 army ants came out 3 years before torn did

  • @theoneguy19 That intro isn't actually part of the song.

  • @420Guitar420 the intro sounds alot lote rage against the machine in one of their songs

  • quality

  • Man, Deans intro is amazing!!! hes an underated guitarist. Whats the name of this concert? i forgot the name and is there any more footge of this concert?

  • Listen to Born A Broken Man by rage against the machine, they have the same exact intro

  • Dean Deleo hands down best guitarist to come out of the grunge era and possibly even the last 40 years.

  • dean is one of the most underrated live guitar players of all times

  • @bestofthebox So is his brother on bass.

  • @bestofthebox i struggled trying to learn all the odd cords in plush

  • oh fuck i live in weymouth mass, just 20 miles or so from worcester. i can gaurentee this was done for waaf's real rock tv, and i want this damn show! i love stp, especially from this era. im gonna call them up right now. 1 617 931 1073

  • what concert is this?

  • amaaaaazing intro by dean

  • @golden280 like the rain song a little ???

  • One of my fav STP solo's..the way it kicks in after the bridge....gets me every time

  • oh yea, same with me!! every time !

  • ...and ya know the slight pause, except for the drum, JUST before the second chorus?? Excellent!!!

  • It's Worcester, Mass. in 1994. They did a huge production video taping it, but never released the entire show, just some performances for "Thank You". Westwood One did a radio show of this performance though, came out in '95.

  • they need to drop the whole concert... even though I own Thank You

  • sweet.

  • it cant get any better than this... loud as hell!

  • I think this was phoenix. AZ state fair

  • the beggining reminds me of zeppelin...because of the stage lights on the guitarist...anyone agree?

  • yah, agreed, but it's fairly well known that zep was one of their major influences, you can hear this influence come through in quite strong in several of their songs

  • i agree...

  • Damn Dean DeLeo had a Jimmy Page moment there. Thought he was about to bust in the old Kashmir riff.

  • If they would only release some of these early live recordings onto CD or as downloads! This is what rock'n'roll is about - as good as it gets!

  • Giant lava lamps, now that is a great time.

  • epic intro, i bet everyone went nuts when the drums kicked in

  • what the hell? i think i just had an organism... why isn't there music like this anymore? i think this was their best year for playing live! (the purple era) dean is just awesome

  • 1:15 - That's a stage you want to play in, Like WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!

  • Excellent!

  • I don't think Dean has ever played a solo that wasn't perfect note for note

  • it was in ur face

  • A fuckin' great song!

  • This song ROCKSSSSSSSSSS

  • Anyone know where this is from? I saw them in Mass on this tour and it was filmed but never saw the light of day :(

  • me acuerdo que en esa epoca habia en argentina una propaganda de una tarjeta de credito con la intro de la guitarra

  • i love the intro...i always love playing this on guitar, i wish dean did more whimsical interludes because from what ive heard he does a great job of it

  • may i ask how you play the intro?

i tried to figure it out but couldn't do that very well...

  • good song, played when STP rocks really hard

  • from Thank You dvd 2/3

  • fuckin big time i love it!

  • me hace recordar la epoca del freeway con los patines y la gente dedicada al hobby jojo buenas epocas

  • I love this fantastic band

    STP FOREVER

  • I LOVE this song but I've NEVER seen it live at 5 shows I've been to.I got 2 more this time around-tonight in Jersey and Aug. in Bethlehem-maybe I'll get lucky.Piece of pie is another rarely seen live.

  • wow i seen both live and ive only seen them live once (wasnt born in the grunge era so i didnt get a chance till their amazing reinunion) it was amzing i think i was the only one in the crowd who knew the song wasnt over at that quite part before dean brakes out that solo

  • When they played Hershey in '97? I think, they played the slow intro piece of Army Ants. I screamed "YEEEEEEES!", me being the only fan screaming at the time, and then they broke into "Down". I like Down, but I didn't like that they toyed with my emotions! Still think they're great.

  • down is a good song but not as good as their early stuff hahahah i was also suprised they played sin too

  • Down wasn't even out yet in '97. Nice try.

  • They played it live for a long time before they recorded it.

  • That's why I have the 97? Maybe it was the Rolling Rock Town Fair 2.0 in Latrobe, PA in 2001.

  • This was always one of my favorite songs... It's rare to see it live, very nice

  • Best STP song. Not their best live performance, but the track is amazing.

  • Punk Like and Totally Kick Ass! Its too underated in my opinion. This Is My Third Favorite song by them besides Interstate Love Song and Creep.

  • they will be back

  • yep they scheduled a summer reunion tour. they really are back

  • they had such a sick ass drummer

  • amazing,amazing

    its good

  • guitar solo kicks ass so much!!!!

  • Best song on this great album. Brutal and almost Punk-like.

  • never relate stp to fucking punk music, EVER!

  • You just don't fucking get it. Fashion victim...

  • I know exactly what you mean especially the lyrics, ignore C0RPSEGR1NDER who probably went to the recent Sex Pistols shows sponsored by Sony Playstation and Guitar Hero 3 & danced to Anarchy In The UK

  • pretty fuckin great

  • A-M-A-Z-I-I-N-G!!!

    ~JEW

  • woooooohaaaaah !!! what a concert! how I wish I could have been there...

  • so awesome!!!!

  • One of my favorite STP songs, definitely... This band was so underrated.

  • they were actually popular.

  • yeah they were the shit back in the day, early 90s was a great time for rock music...now its nothing like this.

  • Too right. It was a great time for real music... the current crop of plastic scares the crap out of me

  • gotta gotta gotta gotta find the the rea sons why, a woman ain't a man

  • fuckin big time
