  • I saw them 78, unfortunately without Godley and Creme. But even the Mark 2 version of the band was far better than Bieber and crap like that. God bless them. There was so much joy in music back then. Today it's just about money and all music is plastic, artificial. Call it whatever you want.

  • epic description xD

  • sooooooooooooooooooo shit

  • Spooky Tooth - saw them at Paterson State College in 1970!

  • Spooky Tooth - say them at Paterson State College in 1970!

  • what an under rated band

  • this has to be my favourite band of all time , and yes i've still got all the lp's,

  • bloody awesome! lip syncing or not, you cant deny that its a frikken classic!

  • What year was this?

  • @pitbull466 1972

  • The most careless and ignorant lip syncing, indeed. Here at the BBC and in Holland in the seventies as well and I was there, ten years old and wondering why a band could by so ignorant.

But, a great song and they have formed my childhood for a great part.

  • @Hansier62 Ignorant? Come off it! Lip syncing is absurd and the band could not take it seriously. Quite right too. They are simply indulging in that very British pastime of taking the piss. When they really did play live they were brilliant.

  • The worst lip syncing I've ever seen lol

  • With a high voice like his Lol Creme could have auditioned for the Bee Gees!!!

  • This is so hilarious! Replay is on!

  • I still have all those old records on vinyl. Stuff you just cant find anymore. Most of it never made it to cd even.

10 cc, old Manfred Mann, early Uriah Heep and Nazareth, Spooky Tooth...

Check your thrift shops for old albums , They were selling them for .27 cents apeice here the other day.

My wife told me I had to get rid of all my old junk, So I took my stuff and left.

I bought a digital turntable and am now in the process of transfering them all to my harddrive.

  • @at39degrees is that true about the wife? lol

  • Should still sell Vinyl ! i know they do very rarlly but Vinyl Rocks! Apart from i very easily scratch it lol ruined many of my dads Lps for it lol ooops.

  • @SheanRay Suppose thats true, nowadays bands are terrible. But you go to see them live, dont think 10CC would have been anything bad at all, defo compaird to whats nowadays. Shame i wasnt even born when this came out or id have loved to here them for real live ! No chance of getting tickets nowadays, two words arm and leg lol

  • love the band but god lord, lol @ terrible mimeing lol lol might be spelt wrong that...

  • @bloodlustedsin Lip synching was the norm back then. People were afraid to alienate the listening audience by letting them here a live version instead of the version they were used to listening to on vinyl or on the radio.

  • 10cc was a great band...think about i'm not in love and feel the benefit

  • Tyle lat,a wciąż pamiętam ten (pościelowy) utwór...świetnie że jest dzięki !!!

  • My fav 10cc song, and I didnt even have a girlfriend called Donna, anyone out there, this could be our tune! - oR MAYBE YOU KNOW SOME GIRL CALLED RUBBER BULLETS?

  • What a eunuch ... umm.. unique voice! Was he a late developer or just wearing tight jeans? LOl... seriously now, he had a great vocal range.

  • Oh my I have never heard this!

  • ha they look so young

  • I'd hate to rip off Oh Darling....

  • BORING!!! this video is a perfect example of how video and television editing has improved over the years. This looks like it was shot by a student for a high school project.

  • HOW IRONIC - Who do you think helped to improve the videos then?

Quote from wiki -Godley and Creme achieved their greatest success as the innovative directors of more than fifty music videos in the early 1980s.

Maybe you should do some homework first.

  • @latengocomoburro i disagree. i find a lot of modern editing insulting; it's taboo to hold a shot for more than a second or two now.

i suppose it could do with some bikini clad girls and maybe some CGI cars, though.

  • @latengocomoburro What does it matter? It's about the music right?

  • sounds like a chipmunk! lol

  • They were simply fantabulous!

  • First single i bought. I was 7 and it cost 65p the b side was hot sun rock. Only child so in my bedroon for hours with my rad fidelity record player x

  • @MrAndrea1965

    Have you still got it?

  • One of the best 70s bands ever x

  • geweldig ! ! !

  • unusual track - love the ironic smiles at the camera from the singer

  • Har, good on them XD

  • They look downright embarrassed...

  • i remember this song from so long ago,i like it

  • Bad lipsyncing, but awesome awesome song

  • Rock on LOL CREME

  • Possibly the worst that 10cc ever recorded..

  • The best of 1970 miming.

  • lovely smile great song

  • such a great song love this blokes smile

  • Frankie Vallie's son?

  • Whatever happened to Lol Creme? He was a cool mofo.

  • LOl ownes! thumbs up if you agree:) i fuckin love tihis song!

  • @jessse229 I only have 2 thumbs but you can have both of them.

  • Lol is just SO delicious here......

  • 10cc?? very clever and bold, beach boys harmonies, and clever writing...

  • Much of there early stuff was very tongue in cheek, sung in a cheesy American accent. They knew exactly what they were doing though because they were by then accomplished singers/songwriters and record producers. Great musicians as well. This band was up there with the Beatles for inventiveness.

  • thankyou very much for the reply

  • I am shocked and appalled- the world has fallen to dust before my eyes- at the revelation that sometimes in the 1970s sometimes we were defrauded by popular music combos pretending to sing and play when really it was simply their "45" being played on a gramophone. Why has this shocking secret not been revealed before?!

  • I had totally and unforgiveably forgotten how talented this band were!!!

  • Beach Boys anyone??...lol...love this :)

  • Great band

  • bollocks...if he was singing this ,why dosent his throat move to the words...or there abouts..iam pissed....bye

  • @outlookisgood it is lip singing... they did that a lot back then, and if this was recorded in Gemany it definately would be lip singing!!

  • @EvasAngel I have never heard of lip singing, what on earth is that please?

  • @tongapuss lip- singing or lip- sync just mean that they are "not singing for real" just moving their lips to recorded music. In Germany if a singer comes to guest a show on TV his/her music including singing will be recorded and the guest artist will just lip sing!! kinda weird I think! It would make me feel uncomfortable as an artist. Anyways, that's what lip-singing means. 10cc were guests at such shows, and I believe this one video was recorded in Germany.

  • @EvasAngel I thought what you are talking about is just called miming ? It was in my day anyway .

  • @naja46 Pretty much the same thing, just a different name for it!!:)

  • @EvasAngel have u ever seen 10cc live m8 cos i have no way do they mime ever waterfall was such a beatifull song it would be sacrilage to mime to it

  • @robgray1611 No, I have not seen them live, but I think this specific recording was recorded in Germany and pretty sure they are lipsinging. I doubt they did that on a regular live concert.

  • @outlookisgood Bands also often used playback when they where out singing at that time....It doesn't mean that he can't do it.

  • Comment removed

  • donna must have had very peculiar tastes in men

  • @nikolas2778 I would go out with LOL ANYTIME!!!!!!!! ;)

  • You can imagine the mums & dads tutting "is it a boy or a girl, you can't tell these days" Superb clip.

  • Does anyone know how to get a hold of Lol's paintings, his art site email seems not to be working????

  • Tighten any man's balls in a vise and he'll be able to sing "Donna."

  • @MishuTaste Don't you know what a falsetto is? Not anyone can do it.

  • @ChivaInvencible Don't you have a sense of humor?

  • @MishuTaste

    LOL

  • @MishuTaste you are wrong, tighten balls in a vise, and I'll be screaming, not thinking of singing

  • @MishuTaste that's helarious dude, thanks for the laugh.

  • @MishuTaste It's an effect on his voice...I think doing a little research before making ignorant comments would do some good here :)

  • @AfterTheBell ATTENTION EVERYONE: I know what falsetto means. I have a mental condition called, "sick sense of humor." I like to laugh & I mean no harm. I'm also a 10cc fan. If you can't take a joke, don't reply to any of my posts. Thank you.

  • @MishuTaste You f.........g try it. It`ll make yor eyes water, but won`t guarantee you`ll be able to sing,

  • What a band! ::)

  • YES! Fantastically AWESOME!!!! With no doubt one of the best in pop history. Lol Creme is just brilliant!

  • Doesn't this clip remind a little too much of the Beatles "Oh Darling"?

    link: XXX.youtube.XXX/watch?v=z_RCNGgL9V4

Hint: exchange "X" with appropriate letters and exclude any spaces.

  • Yes, the first bit is exactly the same - "Oh darling, please believe me" as "Wow Donna, you make me stand up", only slower

The link you posted isn't correct. Just search for the song on You Tube and you can hear it.
