Hi guys, Raspital is so damn rare even after 1 hour I could not get a single fight with her so I need the paradox professor fragment but it is bugged! In the fragment section it says: Deliver your explored maps! I have more than 11 maps 100% explored and I done with the main story and still I can't talk Miss Horizon! She doesn't say anything and it's not even possible to talk to her. Please help if you know about this.

@MrThedur Dude, chill. There are various battle themes and types of music for this game. Personally I think it is fitting for certain battles. The moogle, "Mog", is portrayed to be cute and mystical, he isn't supposed to have a gruff voice for example. Don't make too many judgements when you haven't played the full game yet. Each to his own opinions, but give it a shot. I'm loving the game. I've had it since it released, waaay better than what some people expected. XIII sucked compared to this.
well ive played ff games sense the nes and im going to say the series is dead to me i kinda liked 12 because the gambits kinda let you have the other chrs do stuff you would do anyway but they took that out.i think shey should at least add an option to make battles the way they ust to be god forbid i wanna control all my character.

The music for Final Fantasy has sucked royal ass since Nobuo stopped taking care of it =\ Who the hell wants to listen to this kind of crap with Final Fantasy? Don't get me wrong, I love Final Fantasy and the only ones I disliked were 10 and 10-2, but the music really has sucked since even then. FF 9 was the last Final Fantasy to have good music IMO...

@moangher1 I said FF music, not FF13 music, or FF music composers. Go back and play the first 9 and tell me that the music for 10-13 is great in comparison. I really don't much care for their other work; I like Final Fantasy and the feeling that I'm in a completely different world. The composer's other work is irrelevant to my comment.
@moangher1 When I'm listening to that world's music, I don't wanna get the feeling it's full of douchebag metal heads that can't put a proper sentence together from all the headbanging(crisis core) or a constant loop of the same thing; FF13 felt like every song was the same, soft music with a seemingly emotionless voice droning with the same tone as the music.
@grieversnow We're comparing the console games, and if you didn't notice most of the music loops are the same, just that the new games don't have AS good music as the other FF's but the only difference is you aren't enjoying it at all. Honestly I don't mind the soft, full of emotion music (i Prefer the jap dubs more tho QQ).
@moangher1 Quite honestly I hate Jap Dubs, they should keep the voices the same because Westernization tends to ruin Japanese games. I don't mind reading subs at all if the quality is sacrificed otherwise. And no, I was making my own opinion, not adding to your argument with what seems like everyone viewing this video. @grieversnow Who say's im saying they're wrong? I'm just pointing out how annoying it's getting when people complain here and there about a game that people do enjoy and really don't appreciate the good parts of a FF13 =P. Music on the other hand that all depends on your own music preferences.
@moangher1 Actually, all of it depends on someone's own personal preference. Just because Barbie games and Madden games always hit top of the charts doesn't mean they're good games, does it?
Not having as great a feeling about this game as I originally did. : / I don't want to hold off on getting it because I mean, I liked thirteen for all the things it lacked. But if what I'm reading about the story, the ending, and another sequel are true, then I think I'll just wait to rent this or get a cheap pre-owned copy. It just strikes me as foreboding, that it's going to be lacking or have some major disappointment.
@Dooplez probably cuz this game is just reusing alot of stuff that should have been in 13 but was pulled cuz they decided to let xbox have it as well.
they're both beautiful looking games the only issue i had is the auto battle button, you set the right paradigm, then just press auto attack, i feel like i button mash A just to get through the boss fights and this shows me no different, they set the paradigm and off they went hitting auto attack, its torture that a game this cool hinders you so much like this
FF13 was a good game, not awesome, but ok. I see it more as an experiment, to test out new techs and stuff. But this game =/ I am not going to get this game.. and one of the reasons is that i can't stand this music, and i hear that style in like every gameplay part! c'mon! even the old ff4-8 music was way better then this =/ Sorry
Real FF fans come for the epicness of the story. That is what FF real was at it's core, the story that made you sad, mad, depressed, overjoyed and it drove you through the game by emotion. If you are a real FF fan you look pass the linear part of the game and look at how they improved on story
what I don't get about this is why does he whip out his weapon asif to start battle, but then instead of just going into battle square enix decided they'd just let atlas punch him?? :P
@sahmlockhart you had to fight a book. yes, a book, in FFV. i don't think the hand is that bad compared to that, do you? plus it's part of a giant, it just happened to be the only part the characters could see.

@ReeceJackson according to nostalgic fanboys, no, every FF game after X SUCKED, according to REAL fans, yes, FFXIII and XIII-2 are both fantastic games. however XIII (NOT XIII-2) is very linear, if you can get past that you should enjoy it.

@holyshtwtf12 you clearly haven't done research or looked into the game much at all. FFXIII was linear, i'll give you that. but FFXIII2 is the complete opposite. it is NOWHERE near linear, you can go anywhere(or anywhen) you want, and ALL of the maps are big open areas that are just waiting to be explored. you really shouldn't make assumptions like that if you haven't researched. one of the main points about 13-2's creation was to fix all the things people where bitching about 13.
@minininja820 And they did fix a lot and the result, was an okay game. Not the best final fantasy but I enjoyed it, so a good achievement. It's a shame it wasn't the original 13. Then maybe the sequel wouldn't have to suffer 33% sales like this game did. 13 was awful. I started 9 for the first time recently and it's so fun! But it just reminds me of everything 13 lacks. Tbh, I'd be happier playing the tetra master minigame from 9, rather than playing final fantasy 13.

Sorry but ff7 was a radical departure for the series with its graphical innovations and was LOVED by fans. FFX was a radical departure for the series with its voice acting and was loved. ff13 and ff12 were dreadful and fans have a right to express their anger at the way the series has gone.
@BOSIE321 you just proved my point. FFXIII was not like other FF games, so it must suck. Lightning wasn't a cloud ripoff, she was different in many ways. FF13 is a "radical experience" for the series with it's unique battle system, great story, and graphical innovations. i agree that 12 and 13 aren't the BEST FF games, but they are both FANTASTIC games despite being different. you haters really must stop being blinded by nostalgia and LOOK at the wonderful game in front of you.
@minininja820 You missed my point, FF7 and FFX containned both NEW and radical ideas and were great. XIII just alienated a massive fan base with its weak additions and little substance. i REALLY resent it when people use that tired word nostalgia. FFXIII is the triumph of style over substance. You do know that for her development the head of square told the team to create a female 'cloud strife'. In fact she actually comes across as a cloud/squall hybrid tho nowhere near as good.

have a question is it like ff13 battle system like if the character your controlling dies then it's game over even if the two are still standing? if yes then what's the purpose of phoenix downs?

I don't mean to sound like a hater, but I really don't like FF13's battle system. This is the first FF series I have had a problem with. Having to change to do paragon shifts and fill their stagger bar seems bad for me.
The whole concept of Medic / Saboteur / Commando or Sentinel combo is F'd with only 2 fighters I can tell already i ain't going to be tooo fond of this game.. >.< ah well...
they fucked it up after FFX-2. should have left the battle system alone and let me get into random battles and rank my characters upto level 99 or 100.
hopefully they make a Lost Odyssey 2. atleast that was more like old school final fantasy and was an awesome game too.

@AIex0100 even years ago those games weren't perfect, although, SE needs to drop turn based battle system, its just completely inferior compared to KH series, I really only like, TB on retro RPGs.
@holyshtwtf12 play the first game first, the battle system is bound the be the same or at least similar, i say this because you can get it cheaper.
but its a fun game, you have 2.5 fighters, Comando being the main fighter, Ravanger is also a fighter (with the strikes , like sparkstrike and stuff) and Sentinel is 0.5 fighter, coz he can still do some damage with Entrench, Counter and other skills.
its a different approach to a "dated" battle system. since the J-RPG is dying, they need to change

@Realnec As a kid I greatly enjoyed F7, fact is though , FF7 is totally overrated, not saying I don't like it but people give it to much credit. The BIGGEST part of an JRPG is the Characters and Story(you don't want Cloud in all the FFs do you?). You can complain all you want but, fact is Sqaure Enix is trying new things. And quite frankly people enjoy that fact. It's ether you want the same exact thing as FF7 or something that is new/similar. And I'm paying for something new/similar.

@moangher1 Maybe new fans like it nearly everyone i've spoke too hates it and they are like myself long term final fantasy fans 13 has nothing in common with previous ones. They're moving further and further away from a traditional rpg and i don't think think the modern final fantasies should be carrying on the series as they aren't anything like the previous ones. I personally wouldn't say 7 was overrated more so others are underrated 6 is a much superior game. And 8 was great.

@Chaytorious If you're going to compare games in order to diss this one, you may want to pick another game then Ocarina of Time, which is... you know, considered to be one of the greatest Zelda games ever made. This looks fine to me. I'm not necessarily fond of the Moogle, but I wasn't fond of Navi either and still played the shit out of OoT. I'm not saying this game will be anywhere near as great, but that one small detail won't ruin the game.

i think i may change my thoughts about this game now. it looks pretty decent.and i think the music in this fight sounds pretty good to me.it may not sound like traditional ff music, but it sounds like it is designed to get you pumped up and that's fine with me.
@THFINALFANTASYLEGEND Well, to me it LOOKS like an RPG where the player controls characters, giving them commands in turns to deal damage on an enemy in order to win a battle. What changes did you expect to *see* from a short demo like this? Even if they gave the people exactly what they wanted in terms of gameplay, the screen is still going to look the same.

they could actually make it 2 player, seeing as you only control one player at a time.... with each player controling their own paradigm, maybe online only if they can't do it on the same system...

@moangher1 When I'm listening to that world's music, I don't wanna get the feeling it's full of douchebag metal heads that can't put a proper sentence together from all the headbanging(crisis core) or a constant loop of the same thing; FF13 felt like every song was the same, soft music with a seemingly emotionless voice droning with the same tone as the music.

@grieversnow We're comparing the console games, and if you didn't notice most of the music loops are the same, just that the new games don't have AS good music as the other FF's but the only difference is you aren't enjoying it at all. Honestly I don't mind the soft, full of emotion music (i Prefer the jap dubs more tho QQ).

Not having as great a feeling about this game as I originally did. : / I don't want to hold off on getting it because I mean, I liked thirteen for all the things it lacked. But if what I'm reading about the story, the ending, and another sequel are true, then I think I'll just wait to rent this or get a cheap pre-owned copy. It just strikes me as foreboding, that it's going to be lacking or have some major disappointment.

they're both beautiful looking games the only issue i had is the auto battle button, you set the right paradigm, then just press auto attack, i feel like i button mash A just to get through the boss fights and this shows me no different, they set the paradigm and off they went hitting auto attack, its torture that a game this cool hinders you so much like this

Real FF fans come for the epicness of the story. That is what FF real was at it's core, the story that made you sad, mad, depressed, overjoyed and it drove you through the game by emotion. If you are a real FF fan you look pass the linear part of the game and look at how they improved on story

FFXIII was linear, i'll give you that. but FFXIII2 is the complete opposite. it is NOWHERE near linear, you can go anywhere(or anywhen) you want, and ALL of the maps are big open areas that are just waiting to be explored. you really shouldn't make assumptions like that if you haven't researched. one of the main points about 13-2's creation was to fix all the things people where bitching about 13.

@minininja820 And they did fix a lot and the result, was an okay game. Not the best final fantasy but I enjoyed it, so a good achievement. It's a shame it wasn't the original 13. Then maybe the sequel wouldn't have to suffer 33% sales like this game did. 13 was awful. I started 9 for the first time recently and it's so fun! But it just reminds me of everything 13 lacks. Tbh, I'd be happier playing the tetra master minigame from 9, rather than playing final fantasy 13.

Sorry but ff7 was a radical departure for the series with its graphical innovations and was LOVED by fans. FFX was a radical departure for the series with its voice acting and was loved. ff13 and ff12 were dreadful and fans have a right to express their anger at the way the series has gone.

XIII just alienated a massive fan base with its weak additions and little substance. i REALLY resent it when people use that tired word nostalgia. FFXIII is the triumph of style over substance. You do know that for her development the head of square told the team to create a female 'cloud strife'. In fact she actually comes across as a cloud/squall hybrid tho nowhere near as good.

@holyshtwtf12 play the first game first, the battle system is bound the be the same or at least similar, i say this because you can get it cheaper.
but its a fun game, you have 2.5 fighters, Comando being the main fighter, Ravanger is also a fighter (with the strikes , like sparkstrike and stuff) and Sentinel is 0.5 fighter, coz he can still do some damage with Entrench, Counter and other skills.
its a different approach to a "dated" battle system. since the J-RPG is dying, they need to change

@Realnec As a kid I greatly enjoyed F7, fact is though , FF7 is totally overrated, not saying I don't like it but people give it to much credit. The BIGGEST part of an JRPG is the Characters and Story(you don't want Cloud in all the FFs do you?). You can complain all you want but, fact is Sqaure Enix is trying new things. And quite frankly people enjoy that fact. It's ether you want the same exact thing as FF7 or something that is new/similar. And I'm paying for something new/similar.

@moangher1 Maybe new fans like it nearly everyone i've spoke too hates it and they are like myself long term final fantasy fans 13 has nothing in common with previous ones. They're moving further and further away from a traditional rpg and i don't think think the modern final fantasies should be carrying on the series as they aren't anything like the previous ones. I personally wouldn't say 7 was overrated more so others are underrated 6 is a much superior game. And 8 was great.

i think i may change my thoughts about this game now. it looks pretty decent.and i think the music in this fight sounds pretty good to me.it may not sound like traditional ff music, but it sounds like it is designed to get you pumped up and that's fine with me.

@THFINALFANTASYLEGEND Well, to me it LOOKS like an RPG where the player controls characters, giving them commands in turns to deal damage on an enemy in order to win a battle. What changes did you expect to *see* from a short demo like this? Even if they gave the people exactly what they wanted in terms of gameplay, the screen is still going to look the same.

@TodizzleMONKEY Actually, it's not safe to say that. That's a really unsafe judgement really. Judge all songs by one song, and you'll be dismissing great OST's left right and center.

@THFINALFANTASYLEGEND I wonder if its gonna be a straight line like 13. That shit was so boring when I got the big open world after like 20hrs(dont remember) I said fuck this and returned the game. The stupid battle system is so lame I wish they would go back to the turn base like 10 and bring back the sphere grid.

@EvilKratos89 im suprised alot of ppl didnt like the battle system personally i thought it was the only redeeming factor about the game lol (that and lightning, cuz she sooo fine) but your def right the story was wayy to linear there was some cool environments i wouldnt have minded revisiting at the end of the game for hidden quests and whatnot. but yea, this game was a huuge disapointment. now if they did ff10's battle system somewhat similar to this then dat might be interesting...

they could actually make it 2 player, seeing as you only control one player at a time.... with each player controling their own paradigm, maybe online only if they can't do it on the same system...
