  • I hate the elements there fucking ugly

  • They did a performance review on a civic? Before all the Honda fans come out of their thin doors and high revs I'll say this: it's the sport edition and I understand that. I really want to know about mileage, what rattles, if my parents could fit in the back and how much shit I can take out of town with me.

  • Wild rivers in the background :-)

  • I had an 08 coupe and now have an 09 sedan. I have to say, the sedan feels much more solid, rides better, and handles just as well, if not better. It's an excellent car. And you don't have to downshift two gears to pass on the highway! Usually on the Interstate or highway (65mph), I don't have to downshift at all from 6th and if I do, usually drop to 5th. I love it! I wouldn't have anything else in the price range.

  • should i get this or the honda element ?

  • @bkfinest006 Are you serious? If you are looking for a fun, sexy, crazy car. Go SI. If you're just talking plain ol' Civic or Element. Then whatever you want. But if you're seriously considering an SI. Its really no contest.

  • Civic Si sedan-badges and decals=stock sleeper.

  • its a wonderful car, its much more appealing then the cobalt sedan. i wish honda could drop a turbo in their cars, they just lack torque

  • lol come's with gay stickers.

  • just bought myself one. sedan all day. all black everything

  • coupes are still better

  • wild rivers hehe

  • The new chevy cruze's butt lights looks exactly like the japanese civic fd2...does anyone agree with me? The cruze is looks almost exactly the same...

  • @factionxvt408x Fuck No.

  • U GUYS R STUNNED LOL AND UR POINTS MAKE ZERO SENSE u want the sedan becauseeeeee ???? coupe looks 1000x better and is faster??????? im really really lost

  • @ppackingnegro i want the sedan because it has four doors, therefore making getting my toddler in and out 10x,and also it will make my roadtrips better (i have the coupe right now)

  • @ppackingnegro because the sedan has better weight distribution and its longer wheelbase alows for more stability. yea and it doest look that bad you noob.

  • @wtfyourafuckindoosh I thought the sedan handled better too, but I thought that was just my opinion. That would explain why you don't see 2dr Evos or STis, I prefer the sedan's look better too. Just to know that you have a sedan that can perform makes you feel good, bc it's the ultimate shock and awe.

  • The coupe has a spoiler too. A K24 with 220hp or so would make the car way better. There'd be more low end torque

  • The coupe hasa spoiler standard too

  • I WANT ONE.

  • I have no idea why anyone would buy the coupe over the SI sedan

  • i would love to see honda put the engine from the acura rdx into into something small and sporty.

  • Other cars do better on paper, but this one does better in the real world. Do you want to see the engine check light in a year? Then don't buy this car. Want to turbo charge the civic with stock tranny and engine? Buy this car. Durability pays for itself.

  • I liked this car, quiet and a smooth ride. For the price it comes greatly equipped.

Only thing i disliked about this vehicle was the huge A and B pillars!

  • wild rivers!!

  • I got my 2007 Honda civic yesterday! same color as this one.

    :D

  • iv been begging my dad to buy me a Honda Civic Si. i want one so bad.

  • @badm0nkee same here ive been begging too! But my mom keeps saying no

  • @badm0nkee do you know how to drive a manual transmission? Thats something to consider as well cause this car is manual only. If you dont know your better off buying a manual beater then graduate to the si later. I learned on a beater before buying a nice manual car. Glad i did cause i fucked up the clutch on that beater so bad lol.

  • i took one of these for a spin a year and a half ago and i absolutely fell in love. i have been dreaming about owning one ever since. which is unusual because my dream car usually changes every month or so.

  • can you put foglight?

  • @josephbutch Yes you can, the 2009+ actually comes with fogs as standard.

  • What's with the waterpark in the background?

  • @Johnmz715 dude i realized that water park is called wild rivers and is in Irvine were i live, that ride is the patriot

  • 0:30 THEY FRIGGIN MANAGED TO MAKE IT GO ON THREE WHEELS... thats awesome!

  • No, it's not more special then the coup, it's boring and weird as a sedan . You're stupid and should stop making reviews! o{ o O }o

  • i have this car in habanero red pearl, one of the most fun and practical cars out there, fast and reliable

  • some of the review is at Wild Rivers lol

  • @TSHBuddahead lol u live in irvine, i do too the ride patriot in the background sucks

  • @wnnarace I actually live in Lake Forest, but me and my 3 cousins make patriot fun by standing on the raft at the last drop, or leaning into the turns so that the raft goes half way off the side of the slide. We usually go on patriot last cuz that's the ride that we get kicked out for lol

  • @TSHBuddahead ahahah i should try tht this summer

  • @wnnarace make sure to ride patriot last so when they kick u out, u really arent missin much

  • I wouldve bought this if it was rwd or all

  • Mike Rules!!

  • I just got my civic si sedan last week and I love everything about it!!!!

  • im jealous,lol i love those cars

  • what the hell? 2:59

  • haha

  • iwanna have it in white with black tintined windowes and maybe colore wheels black

  • Hmmm Civic Si...big positives...

    1. smooth and fun power delivery

    2. good fuel economy

    3. perfect wheels

    4. nice rear view/styling big negatives...

    1. stupid looking interior with the exception of the steering wheel

    2. stupid looking prius miniature front clip

    3. pathetic low rpm torque offsets fuel economy

    4. something gay about the side mirrors and that tiny suzuki glass thing

  • i think it is wild rivers, wonder how they obtained premission

  • haha is that wild rivers in irvine,ca at the beginning of this

  • Ricer

  • dre5491

How can a stock car possibly be rice?

  • I'm not talking about the car smart one if you knew how to read correctly I was responding to the dude above mes comment that got thumbs down enough it got deleted..

  • dre5491

Well explain to me how i would know that without you quoting his usename?

  • @dre5491 Idiot

  • dude its not about the look, its performance. K&N CAI, DC race headers, magnaflow or greddy evo2 catback exhaust. theres some of your basics,

  • all that for probably 25 horsepower at the most I bet.

  • LOL try 75+ whp.

  • Please dont chrome it out. thats the worst thing you can do. and leave the grille. and before you change stuff, learn about the car first

  • so youre gonna rice out your mommys car? nice kid

  • This might be a biased opinion just because I own an SI, but regarding what dougdangger said, he's right about the turbo kits, they are around 3k, but the internals are great for forced induction out of the box, plus it doesn't hurt that it has 11:1 compression, great for turbo/s.c. : ) Also it has lsd. I personally got the car as a fun daily toy and seeing it from that perspective, it's an awesomely fast car. Plus now there's flashpro from Hondata to go all out N/A. Plus cams are available.

  • An how much will slapping a turbo on it cost? THOUSANDS. A good turbo kit alone will run you $3k. You'll also have to do internal work on the SI's motor or it'll explode when you turbo it. By the time you finish adding a turbo it would've cost you $5k MORE than a Cobalt Turbo.

You still have to worry about your gears grinding and popping out of playce.

  • Yeah, but the Cobalt is BUTT ugly, has a horrid interior, and crappy resale. Yeah, it's faster, but I couldn't pull the trigger, just too ugly. Si is a really, really nice car; although I'd like to see Honda start offering boosted versions as well.

Chevy, you make the Cobalt SS sedan look as nice as the Civic Si, then next round I'll be looking towards you. You did everything right but the looks and interior.

    My 2 cents.

  • @ActionJeans5000 i wouldnt say the colbolt ss is faster....maybe with a few mods yes...but stock they are pretty equal..

  • @ricanredliner Ummm no... go look up the specs adn then drive them then let em know

  • @MarcsMobileAudio check the review its on youtube. they tested the gti, tc, colbolt ss, and si....colbolt came in 3rd...and i own a si and stock colbolt ss are pretty much equal...

  • @ActionJeans5000 actually the corolla isnt faster because of aerodynamics and the vtech engine

  • @koolandmild

Corolla? Who said anything about a Toyota - I'm talking about the Chevy Cobalt SS. And yes, I own an Si, and it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster than a Corolla.

  • @dougdangger Difference is 10 years from now the Honda will still be worth money and driving. The Cobalt will be falling apart and sitting in a repair shop.

  • This car fucking RAPES!!!! ITs awesome sounds great and has plenty of power. Want to take the cobalt head on you say? slap a turbo in it and GM can kiss its ass goodbye.

  • will the front bumper of the coupe fit the sedan? I don't like the sedan's front bumper...

  • ive been wondering the samething

  • lol

  • i believe it will.. i used to work at honda's assembly plant where they make these models and i saw no difference in the mounting hooks or either

  • Thanks!

  • in the plant that you worked at did they make the hondas good cause i want to get one but i am not sure if they are made good or not

  • no it will not fit

  • How do you know? I really wanna make sure it fits because i hate how the sedan looks with that bumper...

  • because i own a 2009 civic si sedan. And belong to a forum dedicated to the si. believe me

  • Damn! That sucks...

  • 8th civic!! woot!

  • accually they dont i ordered a body kit and we tried putting it on the coupe the garage manager had and it wouldnt fit.

  • POR FAVOR NO LEAN ESTO (me obligaron)

por favor es to es estupido

  • i think civic si are behind in times back then they were the shit but now with thing evolving an becomein better the civic si aint i mean look at the srt-4 caliber an neon an cobalt ss s/c an t/c rsx type s an vw r32 an all the other opposition of this car i mean im a civic si fan to the core but that is just my oppinion so please honda please make a turbocharged or superchared civic si or even an awd s/c or t/c=] cause as far as the competion goes yall are gettin ur asses kick lol

  • What Honda needs to do is make civics RWD and improve it's handling alot more. lol's, maybe it's because I drive an rx8 haha.

  • that is the most stupid thing i have ever heard. especially in a civic? Its Fwd for a reason as well as other compacts in this class. you thinking of some shit way different.

  • lol! brag XD

  • i wouldn't say that dude, the srt-4 is factory turbod as well as a 2.4 liter and only has 30 more hp, the cobalt ss, a cobalt is a comparable motor but is also factory turbod and only produces 260 hp, basiclly with alittle money invest into a turbo si, it would beat srt-4's and would be comparable with cobalts, those are just simple numbers so im not trying to be a dickhead, but the civic turbo charged is comparable if not better then most of those cars

  • Now only if Honda made a 4dr Civic Si something AWD Turbo. That would be my choice, but Evo's are good that new STI is butt ugly. I just like imports they have better build quality

  • At :24 the show a 2004 honda accord as a CIVIC Si

  • lol

  • they also threw in a Del Sol :)

  • yah but the Del Sol's full name is Honda Civic Del Sol so i could imagine that becuz it did come in SI

  • that car looks so good

and thats wild rivers right by my house where they filmed this

  • at 0:30 did the car lift?

  • yup

  • who would win, honda civic si or mitsubishi lancer ralliart with 249 horsepower and 255 pounds of torque?

  • i have that exact fijiblue si in my driveway right now and i walk to it with a big grin on my face everytime. a bunch of these reviews say that you need to downshift 2 gears and blah blah blah its okay... that gearbox is sooo easy n fun to row that youlll beg to be shifting all the time... absolute awesome car in everyway

  • 2000 Honda civic si

  • i was naked while I watched this video! Y

  • Si good car i had 2000 model but car need more juice not enough torque need bigger powerband

  • haha cool you can see the VSA kicking in when he spun around in the beginning

  • If they had the VSA on they wouldnt spin that much. They launched at 5500rpm and shifted right around 7800rpm-8000rpm. With it on they woulnt have spun all the way to 2nd.

  • your probably right, it probably locked up because he pulled the e brake.

  • Oh, you mean the slide that he did. Yeah he pulled the e brake. I tried that with my Mugen it wouldnt happen. I guess the tires grip more.

  • in the background its ontario place

  • did you just say twin turbo?

    yes you are a ricer

  • you would also ruin what the car is, seriously, if you want to live a 1/4 or 1/2 mile at a time, get something else. Besides, until you reflash it, the ecu keeps you pretty set in the horses.

  • Yeah, don't take that comment seriously, I think I was drunk.

  • what do you drive?

  • Mercury Cougar XR7

  • 2007 Hyundai Sonata

  • 1999 firebird

  • does the navigation system come with the car?

or do you have to pay extra for it?

  • LOL why did they show a Honda Accord Coupe at 0:25?!?

  • hahah thats soo true!!!

  • haha yea...nice wallpaper :)

  • And to answer that question no, it only comes in stick shift

  • This car takes ALOT to redline :D I drove one and it sick

  • "But to pass on the highway you need to downshift 2 gears..." LOL

I don't understand the honda fan-boys. Its a clean, refined ride, but it's not fast.

If you want fast, go get the new Cobalt SS, same price, 60 more horsepower, and twice the torque that peaks early and stays strong from 2k-6k RPM.

  • lol i OWN ss cobalts in my si not even a fuckin chance not to mention the chevy is a throw away car.

  • I don't own either an Si or a cobalt, but I have driven an Si several times and seriously, the idea of down-shifting two gears is nothing on that car, I actually found myself looking for an excuse to shift gears on that slick 6-spd. I'm sure the SS is capable of more speed and certainly more for less driver effort than the Si but things like -any- resale value, interior quality and not looking like a rental with stuff taped to it also count for something.

  • the cobalt ss looks kind of stupid if you ask me...and you cant look cool in somthing that looks like shit

  • anyone know if this is in 4matic?

  • more like 20...

while your at it, spend 50 grand more and get a porsche.

    wtf?

  • lol yeah seriously...why put htat comment?

  • oh ya MITSUBISHI!!! lol

  • can anyone tell me whAt CIVIC is cooler. i want a 2 door but the 4 door is not bad. people say the 2 door are way to oval and look ugly. can anyone tell me what they think about 2 door or 4 door

  • Grab the sedan. The sedan looks better than the coupe and I doubt you'll lose any performance compared to the coupe. Plus if you ever have a few lil' ones, the sedan will come in handy...

  • I personally went with the 4 door is only 59 pounds heavier but far more confortable and you dont have to move your seat set up everytime someone needs to get out from the back.

  • i got the coupe sure the sedan is more practical but in my opinion its ugly .. i have a 2 yr old brother and lifting the seat to put him in his carseat is not that big a deal ... i love it .. get the one YOU like ...either way a great car

  • Really....Everyone I talked to thought the coupe looked less appealing...hence the reason why sedans sell more. And just take out the spare tire and you basically have the same weight as the coupe...

  • chuukesestink...my roomate/best freinds brother has an si coupe and me, my best friends, and his brother all love the coupe over the sedan.

  • I have an 08' Si Sedan in the same Fiji Blue Pearl. Great little car, and I'm coming out of my 05' Legacy 2.5 GT (Stage II Turbo) and the RX-8 I traded in. I'm happier in this then the RX-8. I also have a son - so the Sedan is extremely convenient!

  • i like the si sedan more

  • fala em portugues porra!

  • the coupe looks MUCH sexier

  • thats my job in the background !!!!!!!!

  • I have this exact car, sedan and all, and I love driving it every second of the day. I can cruise around down or hit up the VTEC and race around. It's always a good time to drive, pleasure to own.

  • i like the coupe

  • tC is a girls car, i drove one and the power isnt even close to that of the si...doesn't even compare.

  • Buy an Si, I have an 07 Si Coupe nothing but perfection...Recently I have been getting 33 MPG Highway and around 30 city, the car is flawless....and I have heard nothing bu good things about the sedan, best bang for your buck.

  • i agree

  • theres car is badass.. im going to buy my new car this weekend.. but i dont know what car to get... the civic si sedan, scion tC or the gti mkV... can anyone help me

  • get the civic si u wont regret it!

  • tC best bang for your buck...im a tC owner, so i may be a bit biased

  • One of the better reviews I've come across.

  • who stole my car!!!

  • ive researched for weeks about getting a first car and ive settled on this car as a definate 1st candidate, but of course, it all comes down to personal tastes and the all important test drive. my parents are helping me buy one for my graduation. im so excited

  • hope u have enough money for ur car insurance, because this car is considered as high-performance car and since you're young your insurance will be high. I think you should get a accord coupe rather than civic si. =]

  • Actully its not that bad insurrance wise. Look to spend around 200. Maby less. Dont know who u got ur qoutes from.

  • prismflash - there's nothing wrong with an accord coupe, but it has a much more relaxed driving experience than an si - I have a 2003 honda s2000, and I've driven both the new accord and the si - the si feels much more urgent - like it wants to be driven hard. The accord, while nice, is not as sporty in character, and I don't think its a substitute

  • i actually have this car same year and when i got it i was 19 now 20 but i got the insurance with my mom i paid 100 a month for the insurance but now i got 3 points on my record so now i pay 155 a month sucks but still NOT BAD but yeah the Si can get you into a little trouble =P

  • do you have the coupe?

  • sedan same car as in the video

  • Im 30 and insurance is about 150 for me, live in highest insurance area of the country, you're lucky!

  • Does it come in auto? since im getting my lisence pretty soon and my parents dont want me to fuck up my first car and since i have a niece this will be good for me since its reliable

  • Only comes as 6 speed, no automatic. If you want a fast car, learn to drive stick, don't be like all the stupid people who buy a sports car with an automatic transmission.

  • i test drove the manual Si Coupe. it was soooooo fun! it was pretty smooth, but i really liked the interior and manual transmission.

  • good choice.
