The book is called Marine Sniper by Charles Henderson. Henderson got permission from Hathcock to write a sort of snipers biography. The book can be purchased for 7-8 dollars.

@KamaHipHop Actually even with a head shot a person still can move, some convulsions can happen hours after death. And yep, a shot like that would pretty much guarantee a dead hostage. Ive seen execution videos, people get shot point blank with an AK-47 in the back of the head and then swing their arms around for quite a while. btw, what movies do get wrong all the time is throat cutting, its not insta-death like in movies, a person easily lives several minutes with that.

A m24 could not blow a man's arm off, at least not with a full metal jacket round. So, yeah, the difference is "a bit more than "Bigger" im afraid..."
