  • I was around when this cover appeared. I remember when Michael Jackson did Thriller, his music videos were not allowed on MTV. His album so successful that they had to play his songs. I was a kid then, I did not understand why. And when this cover came out, we still did not understand why. The disc jocky stated that the record company actually thought everyone had a racial issue. Latinos, Blacks, etc. never did. We were like, who cares!! The executives during that time saw race in everything.

  • Madonna was less than pleased that her face did not appear on the sleeve but the label was nervous about how the public would react to a white female singing this kind of music but promised to put plaster her face all over the second 12" sleeve if the song was successful, which it was. The label made good on the promise. Literally 20 images of Madonna's face appear on the Burning Up/Physical Attraction 12" sleeve.

  • My Favorite song by Madonna...so uplifting and makes you want to groove. Always puts me in a good mood. Old School jams!

  • BOM DEMAIS, MELHOR SE FOSSE AO VIVO, MAS DE QUALQUER MANEIRA. VALEU.

  • I love the irony of this single cover -the woman now in possession of the most famous face on the planet did not even appear on the cover of her first song... but this photo is great; so urban early '80's New York, just like the song.

Still says MADONNA to me : )
