Wow! amazing setup for the fuel level metering. Can you share w/ me your specs? I just recently had an "empty tank" landing and this could have helped me avoid it. Thxs.
It is a very simple design really, and works very well. I used a GEMS LS-7 single point, type 3 level switch, nylon. You need to drill the tank to fit the switch, in my case I fitted it to the 2 litre mark. I purchased a flashing LED from a local electrical component outlet and wired it all up in series with, in my case, the 12 volt supply off the motor. Failing that you could use a 9 volt battery.
I just bought the sensor. A stupid question, did you use any kind of product as selant (silicone or somenthing) in order to not have the gas leaking from the drill you did? By the way, do you remember what was the drill diameter?
cool setup for car transport,I have similar thing,a cargo carrier that plugs into my class 3 reciever hitch,at least on yours if your car motor breaks down you could turn your paramotor on to push you home.HA HA
Parts used are:float switch in tank GEMS LS-7, single point level switch, type 3, nylon. Part No. 164520. Can be purchased from 01933 411411, postage is a bit steep though. The 5mm red flashing LED is from Maplins. The whole thing works off 2 x 1.5 volt batteries. Hope this helps. If you need any more info send me a personal message.
Very good idea, a bit technical but feasable

The mod I'd like to see would be a really good muffler system to completely suppress the engine noise.
