I advise people to stay away from Avidyne. The hardware is very unreliable and gets defective quite frequently and needs repair or screen replacement. Not impressed with the quality. I would go to Garmin's G1000 glass cockpit instead. Yes, it requires an engineering degree to operate but once learned it is very good.
G1000 can reset itself in flight. Avidyne can't (from what I was told).
