  • O.O

  • Lol @ end

  • The PC version has much faster elevators. I guess that's the price you pay to pay on consoles.

    PC>Console

  • @lintonthepenguin dude that is horsehsit i own the pc version and the citadel elevator ride is pathetically long so get your facts straight before you make yourself look stupid

  • @trema12345 It's based on how good your PC is. Your elevator ride is long because your PC isn't powerful.

  • @lintonthepenguin i have an i7-920 and gtx 460 and the ride is always long stupid

  • At least it isn't a ridiculously long ladder.

  • I liked the elevator rides better than the ridiculously long loading screens in ME2.

  • elevators are meant to replace loading screens guys, they're not a stupid useless feature.

  • Haha, I love the ending!

  • Ending was the best :P

  • Elevators aren't that bad, leaving normandy is, I hear Decontamination in progress usually 8 or 9 times. First time it was like 10 or something...

  • shows how high citadel is

  • my xbox crashed when i used an elevator in citadel for the first time

  • I think the elevators are partial load screens. Nevertheless, I take the Citadel Transit only as the actual load screens are a hell of a lost faster than the elevators. I can find funny elevator dialogue on youtube.

  • The elevators ARE loading screens.

  • @DroneXQ man on xbox its loading screen but on pc.. :D

  • lmao, I actually think the length of the elevator rides is absolutely hilarious. I think it was supposed to poke a little fun.

  • On my PC it's more than twice as fast. What hardware do you have?

  • Oh, it's the Xbox 360 version apparently. You can tell because of the 360 icons. Now I finally understand what all the complaints were about.

Just a quick question: When you enter the Normandy, how many times do you hear 'Decontamination in progress'?

  • Twice, sometimes three times for me.

  • 3 times mostly on the 360

  • They need faster elevators.

  • haha @ wrong elevator

  • Hate that so much. I actually don't do side quests some times because of the freakin elevators.

  • Why must that music be so catchy!?

  • Since the elevator rides are simply "masks" for loading times, the length depends on the speed that the game loads.

I installed the game after NXE update and I noticed shorter elevator rides as a result. Mass effect is one of those games that run MUCH smoother after install, and I highly recommend it.

  • that is false though, it has been tested and proved that installing the game provides little to no help. the long elevator rides are hardcoded into the game, so installation makes no difference.

  • But it still helps to reduce the game's choppyness.

  • yeah, that's true.

  • wow, that sucks, watch there be an even longer one in the second game, and is there any purpose of going up it? like achievements, or objective?

  • Getting to where you have to go.

  • Bioware promised shorter loading times, and the loading times will be masked better.

  • ha yeah i really don't mind as long as they put hours of dialog in the elevator rides. like more conversation with wrex.

  • lol, wow that is the dumbest thing ever in a game, and lol at the end text

    "oops wrong elevator"

oh yah, is it faster going down?

  • Nope, its the same. :D

  • Not that big of a deal really. Sometimes you hear over the speaker a news report that can give you new side missions and the characters riding with you talk to eachother. Everyone makes it seem like the elevator rides ruin the game. In my honest opinion, the elevator rides were not that big of a deal at all.
