  • Superb engineering, you have created a masterpiece. All the thumbs downs are just poor little jealous fucks!!

  • dear santa..

  • wtf? ok people are either thumbing this video down because thats not a R1 motor in there OR people are fuckin MAD they dont have this bike. which is it? awesome quad btw....

  • good rude boy u have to start it fucker , this world is too generous , idots like u have shit like this

  • thats a diiirty wheeler

  • need some pointers on my frame work

  • All you guys on here saying "its not an R1" of course its not you dumbass.. It clearly states its an R1 Raptor, and if you couldnt fugure that shit out in the first place, your ass dosent need to be on the computer.

  • damn, love the dual exhaust and the red swingarm.................Wicked!!!

  • Obviously it's not an R1 it's a Raptor with an R1 engine.

  • sorry buddy, but that;s no R1.

  • @kaleidascopes.......No its not a R1 motorcycle. Its a Raptor with a R1 motor. But if you are implying that its not an R1 motor, I can assure you that it is indeed an R1 power plant! Thanks for watching though.

  • @Clint660r are you serious? I really had a hard time believing that. That thing must be a monster and a half! How do you get it to idle almost whisper quiet? Is it just the videos audio that didn't record all that great? and you barely blip the throttle and the tach jumped to passed 9 grand? Why didn't my R1 behave like that? That's amazing to me and your quad looks SICK!!

  • @kaleidascopes Thanks!, this thing is a monster, but lots of fun to ride. And yes the audio is a bit schetchy. Since this video was taken I but a nitrous express system on it spraying a 40 shot down its throat. check out my channel to see some videos off this thing in action. It will run the 1/8 mile in 6.57 seconds at 105+ mph! Search - clint660r

  • @kaleidascopes idk if you noticed but he turned it on and it jumped to 9k, think before speaking

  • @MrRpalm69 yeah, yeah, Mr. Clint and I already worked this out. I hard time believing it since I had never even so much as heard of an R1 motor in a quad. But he made me a believer real quik!

  • @kaleidascopes Think you will find out it is BUDDY haha!!

  • sorry buddy, but that;s no R1

  • please tell me what kind of breathers are those on the throttle body desperatly need some for my bike

  • @dmouton105 These are custom built intake manifolds that I designed and built myself. It uses a K&N filter. It is designed so that the filter fits inside the frame neatly. Also note the fuel cell that is also a custom piece that I made.

  • @dmouton105 If you look in my favorites list you will find a video a friend of mine posted that really shows of the intake and fuel cell well. its title is R1 Raptor 4-19-11.

  • i am building one right now with a GSXR 1000 motor and it would be awesome if you could answer some of my questions. Are you running R1 sprockets ? if so do they fit directly onto the raptor sprocket hub ? how did you go about that. thanks

  • @MrLittlefish12 I am using a 17 tooth front sprocket with a 48 tooth rear and 520 chain. I Know you can get up to 46 tooth rear for the raptor, I think the R1 rear sprocket will fit the raptor hub, but don't hold me to it.

  • Your best bet would be to buy an entire raptor. everything but the motor, wiring, fuel tank, radiator, will be used. there will be some other stuff that is custom like exhaust, cables, and the wiring for the R1 that would have to be made of bought. The biggest of these would be exhaust. I built mine from scratch, you could run a stock R1 header with a bit more mods to the frame, but you loss a lot of ground clearance. shocks would be the other piece of the puzzle. Send e-mail address if serious.

  • Ok what are the other things that I would have to buy

  • Its too much money for me right now

  • @Eljuniordetangas I can do a frame, motor mounts, fuel tank, radiator, and intake for the 04 - 06 R1 for $2500. The rest of the machine is stock Raptor parts that you could buy as you go. I am getting ready to build one for a guy soon so all the jigs and fixtures will be ready. Plus I might be able to get a better price on the custom intake parts if I order 2 sets. The intake is the most expensive part to build, it starts off as a 15 pound piece of aluminum, and ends up at less than 2 pounds.

  • What about the quad frame?

  • @Eljuniordetangas as long as you,re OK with a raptor 660 based machine, I will supply the chassis. But again I can put any motor in any frme, but the cost will be more. I find the raptor 660 chassis is the best way to go for this kind of project because of the size of the frame, and there are lots of those machine out there. Plus with the size of the stock 660 motor, there is quite a bit of room for the 1000 with only having to rebuild the lower half of the frame and motor mounts.

  • If you supply a 04-6 R1 engine I can do it for around $7000, depending on the set up you want. I can put any engine you want in, but it will be more, because I already have parts and models for the R1 engine.

  • very nice

  • This is a 2001 raptor 660 chassis, highly modified to let the R1 engine fit in. Check out the other videos of this machine on my channel, clint660r.

  • what kind of chassis do you have.

  • Since I am only drag racing on asphalt I don't really need a rear shock.

The weight transfer is instant with the solid strut. The ride is real stiff but at 105+ mph I don't want much wiggle in it. Since this video I have put a 40 shot of nitrous on it and wheelie bars. It is an awesome feeling to be on the wheelie bar most of an eighth mile run. The only time the fronts are on the ground is off the line and when I shift.

  • how does it ride with no rear suspension?

  • Nice!
