In The Boys, both male and female superheroes treat the opposite sex as sex objects; its Enniss commentary on how superpowers would corrupt people. In the last issue he had Queen Maeve call two male prostitutes and then offer them to Starlite when she was done with them. Does that make him a misandrist too? No, Ennis offends equally.
Garth Ennis is not a misogynist. If anything, this book is a tribute to the Russian women who fought in WWII. This book is a feminists version of the Tuskegee Airmen.

The violence in this book is nothing like that of The Boys. Here Ennis uses the realistic violence to show how horrible war is. In The Boys he uses over-the-top violence to show how silly superhero comics are.
While it's definitely more fitting to be in a war saga, I think his use of violence defines Ennis as a creator. To me, that's a bit unfortunate. However other creators have their stigmas as well. Morrison is hard to follow and seems crazy; Ellis also loves violence and every other word is an f-bomb; Whedon uses way too much "buffy-valley-girl-speak." But each one has strong points that are the reason they are successful.
Ennis' treatment of women in The Boys is god awful. You can't deny it.
