@gunluvS14 - directed by chris cunningham, who worked with stanely kubrick on A.I. artificial intelligence - as an animatronic supervisor. This would have been pre-production for AI, sometime after 1994. Spielberg helmed AI after stanely's death - so he would have brought this aesthetic and technology with him to minority report. So technically, irobot copied cunningham and speilberg and kubrick.
