Hey, great job. I just recomend that you watch your torque sequence. Starting from the center and pairing the cap studs will keep things straighter. you will notice a difference when you first spin it or check endplay.

Gotta say... the 4g63 may be strong, and you can make good power, so more power to you (or so the saying goes) but the cars these things come in are crap. Every motor has strengths and weaknesses inherent to its design. Hondas are the best for longevity and NA power. These motors respond particularly well to turbocharging. Have fun and don't be a punk!

quick question. going to install forged crank on my 1g 6 bolt tsi soon.. im having issues on wat to get. eagle 4340 forged 88mm 94mm and 100mm crank. stock block right now im just wating on forged eagle rods and ross pistons. on the head i have 272 cams with adjustable cam gears and some new vaulve springs and retainers. running a evo3 big 16g but switching to 20g soon.. suggestions anybody????

@prisonbreak7760 because the 4g63t is a really really tough engine and doesn't need to be sleeved its built and made to take 450 hp to the fly wheel stock with just bolt ons the stage 3 short blocked from bushur racing can take 900 hp!!! once you own a dsm you'll nvr want anything else.. 4 cylinders, 3 diamonds, 2 cams, 1 turbo, dsm for life!
@IMAL3DFARM3RMF yeah you deff are gonna need a valve job head gasket b/c to get at the valves the head has to coem off and with that theres head studs and a new timeing belt and maybe a cylender head depending on how bad they fucked it up and possibly pistons...

the funnest thing is he did a fair amount of things wrong with this build video but the worst i think is the fact you built a 7 bolt without changing the crank
@winkdogydog101 changing the crank doesnt get rid of crankwalk. any motor can and will crankwalk given a few certain circumstances. people have speculated about why so many dsm's crankwalked, but noone knows for sure. could be the way the block was built in the factory, could be the design of the oil squirters, could be that when you start the car you have the clutch pushed in and it's putting too much pressure on the thrust bearing w/o oil on it yet....
@dpsnodgrass1215 actually crank walk comes from using to much boost on stock components. if you plan to run more boost make sure you upgrade all belt and pulley components. its the shock of aggressive fuel igniting and boost power. the squirters kinda to go bad so 3g revised lifters work great. thrust bearing should already have grease in it since it on the inside of the transmission balance shaft should also be deleted because from what I understand it isnt fact it also relates to crankwalk.

If you dont have the proper tune/ fuel and all that crap of course the shits goin to blow. most people just keep adding on bolt ons and forget to add fuel. if its dont properly we have seen DSM stock bottom ends hold to about 600hp or a little more. Ive seen two cars crankwalk in the 5 years ive been into DSM. My buddys because his converter ballooned and then another bought one walked. 97-99 have the revised block anyways with split thrust.

thats a 2.0 liter. Its a 420a not a 4g63. Basically the same thing as a neon engine.... I would buy a 4g63 car instead of wasting all the money trying to swap everything over....

My mechanical knowledge is limited, and the only DSM guy local here works all the time and is 30 mins away. All the guys right here in town are honda guys - luckily though they know what they're doin on a 4g63 too - been teaching me lots!

thats a 2.0 liter. Its a 420a not a 4g63. Basically the same thing as a neon engine.... I would buy a 4g63 car instead of wasting all the money trying to swap everything over....

the non turbo spyder is a 2.4l engine and is NOT the same as 420a. It's a 4g64.

Like i said your best bet is to get rid of the non turbo and get something that already has a 4g63 in it....

heh I just got my talon and have had nothing but problems - but when it's runnin right it's all worth it.
My mechanical knowledge is limited, and the only DSM guy local here works all the time and is 30 mins away. All the guys right here in town are honda guys - luckily though they know what they're doin on a 4g63 too - been teaching me lots!
Gotta drop my turbo tomorrow due to a blown gasket & busted bolts - actually excited, cant wait to see/do it all for the first time.

@bmxstreet6 Forged internals, cams, valves, ect ect. You're looking at about a $3500-$4000 rebuild.
