the music was part of the 1987 revamp of kron's news package as part of the golden gate bridges 50th anniversary in may 87.

I think I read that the original design of the 4 logo (with the number 4 in part of the Golden Gate Bridge) came out in 1984.

It came on in June 1984. The original 4 had the top broken off as it was part of the Golden Gate Bridge and would be used in the legal ID's until September 1989. (Though KRON's 4 logo as you see here in the legal ID was brand new, they would still use the 1984 GGB Legal ID for another year) Klein & would compose this and TWAFI4 when that debuted in February 1989.

The Soviet shuttle Buran only flew one unmanned mission before the project was scrapped, so thats pretty cool you got a newsclip mentioning it.
