  • I'd be happy if I could it half as good as you do...anyways, do you know where can I find the music sheets for it?

    cheers

  • How old are you playing violin friend?

  • how old are you playing violin friend?

  • This is quite good! Just continue to enjoy in music and everything will be great :)

  • I enjoyed that, even tought there where some misstakes. I like the tempo too.

  • Thanks a lot you helped me get a part that I didn't get... my dad was starting to get mad, and it is slower so its easier for me unlike the super super fast ones

  • Anyone giving this aspiring musician less than five stars based on an incredible effort to play this is a negative jerk off. Go into the classical critical realm with the rest of the failed musicians.

  • i don't play violin but i assume this is really hard to play (at least on guitar is, and you don't even have to articulate bow strokes on guitar). this vid contains a lot of awesomenesses

  • you playing that a little strange..

  • you are an amazing violin player ,good work man

  • good job:) thanks for uploading your video:)

  • i played it but in a different version. edited by IVAN GALAMIAN and should be played much much faster.

  • galamian made all the ALL STATE ETUDES HARD! xD

  • actually it shouldnt be played much much faster. with bach it is important that you study his work really well and slowly. that way when you actually have a performance of bach's work its nice, crisp, and clean. the point is to sound wonderful not who can play the piece the fastest.

  • @mexico662 I agree with you...and playing this piece is like having communion with Bach as soon as the technicalities are overcame.

  • Well done!

I assume you haven't practiced much if you've been doing this for 2 months.

But you have a really nice natural playing style.

    Some more expression is needed.

But the intonation is superb, I really struggle to get in tune with this piece, but you need to enjoy it more!

Good luck this will be great!

  • toooooooooooooooooooooooooo slowlyyyyyyyy

  • Not bad, it's coming out nicely. It will be awesome in a year or two. 4

  • Hi! I have an violin that looks and sounds just like yours, and mines i dont know what trade mark it is. I've rote to you, and told you the whole story of my violin, but i didn't get any response. Please, tell me what trade mark is this violin. I must know, because i've allways wondered, but in the 22 years of practice i've never seen and heard a violin like mine. Thank you!

  • It sounds very nice but you might want to try polishing it up and see how it sounds. Try speeding up the tempo and I didn't notice much dynamics. I don't know you said something about getting it in tune because the intonation is great! However, try playing the whole movement without redoing notes. Overall good job, but try really perfecting it and I think you can get something really good going! :]

  • very nice and only two months?you have talent=)

  • At 2:51 or 2:52, is someone screaming at you to shut up? hahah

I don't see why they would. This is beautiful music. I don't know how to play violin so I can't give any constructive criticism. But it sounds good. I want to know how to play. :D

  • Actually, I played this song last year for my recital and he could pick up the speed. I played it fast! sorry

The sound is horrible. Otherwise intonation wise and everything else was great! just work on the speed. It should be about 120 to the quarter somewhere around there.

  • There's nothing wrong with playing slow, even when you get in tempo then you will need to go back slow again to practice vibrato and articulation.

  • o_O;;;

Get a better camera or something...the sound was just so scratchy throughout [the piece].

Take it up to the original tempo, too. It is surprisingly slow for playing 2 months into it now...around 80 bpm is the standard tempo. Even I can play it this slow for just playing it 2 weeks(sorry if I make you feel bad; not trying to boast). Good luck in the future!

  • Hey, you are wrong!!! hope you are not Suzuki's... PLAYING SLOW helps to practice detache, very slow to get in tune and shifting...

  • If he was praticing why did he post this, I want to see it up beaat and as if it were in a concert.

  • Posting videos of yourself practicing means you can get comments about how you are practicing. Those could be useful, like getting a virtual lesson. Someone could even reply with a video showing you how to do something differently. I.e. you are making the mistaken assumption that this is just about your personal entertainment.

  • yeah I agree, but for two months you should have already known that, or get a real lesson
