ok fags this is just a song. calm the fuck down and stop reading way too into the music. for crying out loud this isnt directed to any of you, in any way shape or form. dont get me wrong the band is good in all but ITS JUST A SONG.
Good Emo music was made in 1980s with rites of spring, but mainly 1990s with capnjazz, the promise ring, the get up kids, mineral, jimmy eat world and sunny day real estate to name some
@TheMatthewrox Don't forget one of the greatest: Split Lip / Chamberlain. And let's not forget Christie Front Drive, Elliott, Texas is the Reason, and Seven Storey Mountain! Those were the days! None of that stupid guyliner all black attire whiney baby crap you see today
I don't know how people can compare SDRE to Mineral. Don't get me wrong, they're both good bands, and I'm a HUGE SDRE fan, but I just don't see the overlap that people are accusing them of.
@ Cokemachinegl0w, I know what you're saying, some songs are just impossible too listen too 'cause of the memories they bring back. Awesome song, tho.
Saw them at the Square House in Gainesville maybe 97 or 98. Awesome. I agree with all the posts about the state of emo today. I miss this real, no trend approach to what was one of the best music scenes of the 90's.
It's such a shame that emo got the bad reputation that it currently has. This band is so true - and the real definition of emo. They really create the emotion, something that NONE of the scenester followers could do. If it wasn't about hair glue or eyeliner they were clueless.
i agree with you. this whole scene thing pisses me the fuck off. i wish i was born in the late 80s so i could have grown up with this type of music. mineral is probably the greatest emo band ever. it is real emo not that fucking panic at the disco shit everybody calls emo. it sucks that mineral broke up. i would have liked to see them live.
@PJownsyoursoul i agree them and Blue October are very true with their music with such meaning that invokes true emotion from personal experience from both bands

I understand your nostalgia for emo, but even that, this song from mineral sounds like any other post grunge song from late 90s
