  • sing, song are words that in no bible language excludes instrumental music. Nice acapello singing. a'capello is an odd word, not Greek, but Latin. More oddly it isn't in the 3rd century Latin Vulgate. A'capello singing was a Catholic doctrine demanded today by some churches not fully restored to first century understanding of what "sing" means. Everyone then knew you "psallo"ed a "psalm" using a "psaltery" (hand harp). That meaning never changed. A'capello is good too, if not forced as doctrine.

  • Thank you so much my dad had a heart attack and needs surgery this song made me feel much better. I am also a member of the Church of Christ where I lead the singing God bless ya'll

  • There are so many harmonies. I can see the voices swimming in my head. I used to love singing hymns at church. It's hypnotic, and relieving. What would a hymn of an Atheist sound like?

  • I appreciate you so much for posting this - beautiful voices singing to our wonderful God! God Bless - your sister in Christ! :)

  • R.i.P C.O.C

  • lompo...psallo is used figuratively in Eph. 5:19 not to pluck the strings of any instrument to make melody but to make that melody in our hearts. Also this point is dispositive because none of the other 8 instances of recorded singing include instrumental music. God bless you.

  • "speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody [psalontes] with your heart to the Lord”

  • Aeschylus (525-456 B.C.), the Greek playwright, used the word of “plucking hair” (Persae, p. 1062). Euripides (480-460 B.C.?), another Greek writer, spoke of “twanging” the bowstring (Bacchae, p. 784). Psallo was used of “twitching” the carpenter’s line so as to leave a mark (Anthologia Palatine, 6.103). Finally, in Plutarch the verb also could convey the sense of “plucking” the strings of an instrument (Pericles 1.6).

The verse in question here (Eph. 5:19) supplies the context.

  • To answer the argument that the greek word psallo means (or even has its original meaning as) to play a harp. You must remember that "psallo" is a word in which the object (that which is "plucked" or "struck") is supplied by the context.

  • Christians, let us remember about the danger of criticism. Romans 14: Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. For instance, one person believes it’s all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables. Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.

  • Wow! was that the congregation singing? Oh My! I would love to go to this church! Music makes up the majority of my worship experiance in church! I'd feel like heaven being in a church that sings the old hymns like this! Good job! wow!

  • Isn't Psalms in the old testament. you believe that cause you want to. spend more time reading God word. It will be all worth it at the day of judgement. No authority at all in the N.T.. Sing and make melody in your heart. Christ didn't die for all the other churches. He died for his own the one he founded...I wouldn't go before God and say you left his Church, his only Son shed his blood for.....

  • Sir, you have a God-given talent to lead songs. The members are also very uplifting. We sing with our hearts and only to God.. thank you so very much for uploading these videos. God bless!

  • Greetings from Bellfort Church of Christ in Houston Tx

  • Again whoever is leading the congregation in a hymn, should start them out on a hymn then step away from the mic and not try and sing louder or better than the congregation, infact, he need's more singing lessons I think

  • Beautiful song, and wonderfully sung.

I do not believe people should use comments on a video that is meant to uplift, praise, and encourage, to spread their beliefs on the issue of musical instruments. You should not need musical instruments to be uplifted by the words of this song, even if you belong to a church that utilizes musical instruments.

  • My Great Great Uncle wrote that song. W.B. Stevens

  • This is one of my favourite hymn when i was in Ghana.I was worshiping with Akwatia Church of Christ. In 2008 we had our brothers from West oakland Church of Christ. who visited the church.Bro. u are really inspirational song leader.May God richly bless you.

  • A soul lifted up by this wonderful singing. Bless you. Just listen, why would anyone need musical instruments. Thanks...

  • Yes. Please continue to pray for the Churches of Christ in this nation and around the world. This video gives me hope that the brethren are alive and well in this nation that is not "God-Forsaken" but a nation that has forsaken our Lord. I have hope that there are Christians that are worshipping as God wants us to. And what is more surprising is the CA address. I have been under the impression that most of the west coast has just gone into apostasy. Thank you for posting this!

  • the guy behind was sleepin' hehehe

  • very wonderful this make me remember when i was in ghana, the church that i attend was church of christ

  • My compliments to the song leader for his enthusiasm and skills of song leading. I love seeing and hearing fellow Christians sing hymns they actually feel, not simply singing "becuase I have to".

Keep up the fine work, and God Bless!

  • great singing

  • May God continously bless the Pure Praise of Heart. I thank God for you all, truly uplifting and inspiring. We are not without hope. Pure praise!

  • It wasnt until the catholic church introduced a piano in worship that it was even considered, and at first there was resistance. Understand that the whole idea of having instruments in worship is for our own glory (i can play better then so and so) and entertainment. We do not go to worship for entertainment, we go to exalt and glorify God, who did not tell us to do so in instrumental form.

  • A Good Friend Of Mine died A Few Days Aqo ! &This Sonq Kinda Talks 2Mee :( So iListen 2It Everyday

  • It's a hymn my late Dad loved, and it's one I still draw strength from today, these years later. God bless you, and comfort you with blessed memories of your friend. The void is never absent, BUT time does ease the pain, and memories fills it with joy. Lean on God for strength, and God be with you.

  • Christians-in CA?

  • Just a question why dont you guys use instruments? I'm not criticizing or anything I thought that sounded great just wanted to know.

  • A good question, which I can say neither add to not take away from the word of God. the sriptures teach, sining, and melodiy..not w/a piano, guitar, horn, etc. - but with your heart. Now, don't mistake me, I readily admit musical instruments greatly help to compose the musicsl meoldies. However, what teh Lord seeks, is the meolody of a person's hear & soul, thus, not taking away from, or adding to, his Word. Again, VERY good question.

  • @cogicchild12345 Not sure if your question was answered or not, but the Church of Christ follows the apostle's doctrine of worship that was followed in the 1st century New Testament church. From the Acts 2 through the end of the Bible, there is no mention of mechanical instruments being used in the worship service. However, Eph. 5:19 states that we are to "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord."

  • This brother did a good job in leading the hymn.

pevans-God bless, you are absolutely right doctrinally. be careful not to offend so many will take offense and harden their response.

mrrapko- I believe the bro. simply said it was not authorized and it is not for worship. If you disagree then can I ask you to provide where it is authorized?God bless

muffy-groceries arent at issue. Bible's commands for worship are. Do you have any biblical support for the Church to use instruments? God bless.

  • @omarifrench1 You are abosolutely right. When a christian is sharing the word of God with individuals who are members of body of Christ and who are not members of body of Christ, must illustrate to them what is right not what they are doing wrong. Christians learn from the apostles doctrine who directly receive it from Jesus Christ the son of the living God. The Apostles doctrine shows us how to conduct ourselves as christians after all we are in a spiritual sense Sons of God.

  • I've been a member of The Church of Christ all of my life and my father has been a song leader for 30 years. This song was sung beautifully by a congregation of over 100 Saints at my Mother's funeral in 1998. The words really touched me and helped me through......

  • i think if we could see God's reaction to everyone fighting over instrumental music, he'd be laughing. So much more pressing issues. Why don't we take the ACTUAL WORDS of the song to heart..."farther along we'll know all about it."

  • @MrRapko I know, if ppl would just quit trying to b right with each other and concentrate on if they r right with God, this petty stuff wouldn't even b an issue. I feel God with or without instruments when I sing... I can also put out there that it doesnt say to go to grocery stores and buy our food either, but I bet 100% of us do... we are in the Laedocian church and we need to focus on not being the LUKEWARM and get 100 with God.

  • @MrRapko That is foolishness, what you saying is not sound doctrine. There is no where in word of God & specifically in New Testament where it states that God gets glory in his worship service through instruments of music.

  • @pevans2323 Do not mean to offend, but honestly, If you're gonna respond to me, do it intelligently and without misinterpreting me. Personally, i'm not comfortable with instrumental worship. All i'm saying is that we are worried about the WRONG things. Yes, we must protect the Scriptures, however, what I am suggesting is that if we spent HALF as much time evangelizing as we did arguing amongst ourselves about "sound doctrine", there would be souls added daily.

  • My friends,God says to sing with the Heart (Spirit) and the fruit of the lips making melody (MUSIC) singing Psalms and Hymns to the Lord.

Every scripture in New Testament you will see that when disciples sang a hymn it was from thier heart because they were rejoiceful and happy in the Lord.

Playing instruments with singing in worship is a foriegn form of worship that God does not accept, your worship is in vain, your labor has no fruit or favor with God. SEEK OUT TRUTH.

  • I remember singing this song at my grandmothers church

  • David did not use instruments in the Holy of Holies, which is where the Church worships through the blood of Christ. Heb. 10:19. David did many things such as having multiple wives that are not allowed in the new testament. Acts 17:30.

God's word proscribed instruments of David in Amos 6:5. Next, instruments are never authorized for worship in the New Testament examples of singing praises. Eph. 5:19; Col; 3:16 Jas. 4:13; Heb. 2:12; 1 Corinth 14:15.

God bless I can provide my contact if need be.

  • God bless. If the issue is whether musical instruments are authorized by the new testament scriptures in worship then the answer is no. All new testaments examples of singing do not authorize musical instrumentation. Therefore incorporating them into God's worship without instrumentation cannot be done in faith.

In fact under the mosaic dispensation they could not introduce anything into devotion unto God that was not prescribed as well. See Lev. 10 :1ff. God bless.

  • beautiful.

  • Again, allow me to state that I am a 16 year old, faithful member of the Lord's church. According to the word of God, we are instructed to sing only (Eph. 5:19,Col. 3:16). Nowhere are we given the authority to use instruments in our worship. In the Gospels' accounts of the "prodigal son", which is found in Luke 15, I do not find any evidence of musical instruments. However, if there were instruments used, the occasion was not one of worshipping God, but of celebration of a son's return.

  • Did not David use a harp to sing to solomon? where is it that God said no instruments?? i would like to know plz comment back.

  • @Darkdevilan1993 Here is recommendation for you. Apostle Paul to Timothy in book of Timothy to study to show yourself approve unto God. It is obvious that you are not speaking from sound doctrine. David did not use harp in worship service setting. I would love to sit down & show what the truth is.

  • @cguy93 just note that we r in the Laecodian church and that means the church of the Lukewarm, soo, if musical instruments help folks praise and worship our Lord Jesus, I truly think God is smiling down on them and enjoying Himself being Praised and worshipped as the BIBLE states. God Bless

  • @muffyrocs1 That foolishness. You can not add or subtract from the word of God. Worship service is spiritual setting, not to appease or please man. There is no were in the word of God that he accepts clap, trap entertainment. You are losing sight on the big picture & what the worship service is all about. It's not about you, me or anyone else....its all about praising & giving adoration to God.

  • @muffyrocs1 I totally respect your sincerity & honesty. However, this is how churches split. If Christ left the keys to the kingdom (the church) w/the apostles & they did not mention musical instruments in the worship service, who are we to introduce them now. Just the same as a denominational person reads the same Bible as I do, but does something in their worship service not mentioned by the apostles in the first century church, is that pleasing to God?

  • hi... i want you to know that i love singing without musical instruments. but where exactly in the scriptures does it tell us that we cannot use musical instruments when we worship our Lord Jesus? What i saw in the NT related to musical instruments, is about the story of the prodigal son..

When the lost son came back, His father sounded musical instruments as an act of celebrating, as an expression of happiness.

can't we express our happiness in our worship to God? i am happy i have God, R U?

  • While I often quote Amos and Ephesians.... My take on having instruments in a worship service is defined clearly in Corinthians... Paul says to the Church of Corinth that there be NO divisions among them, that they be of one mind and one accord. Now, why is it that even BAPTIST churches have both contemperary AND traditional services??? Surely it isn't because of controversial issues that the old timers don't want being introduced.... Hmm.... Wait, it is.

  • This is my very favorite of all time!!!! We don't sing it too much at my home congregation. It makes me so happy to hear this!! The CoC's of Florence AL don't sing this song near enough!

  • hey I'm from Huntsville, AL! We sing this song a lot. It's one of my favorites too:)

  • hey, i'm leaving this comment for WBCohorn ...it doesn't matter if we think its boring , or what WE prefer... its about what god prefers...and i say this in christian love :)...love the song and the singing of your congregation...i'm not saying this with any racial disrespect ( because i'm a 17 year old white male)..but i LOVE the way black congregations sing, you can tell they feel the song and you can see their love for godchristian love....jesse winn ... arab alabama... arab church of christ

  • @jesselovesguitar, Religion is bullshit anyway. Just FYI

  • WOW!!! what wonderful song! I've never heard it sung this way. Georgia loves it!

  • Less is more and God knows that."The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise"Ps 51:17. If you've never set foot in a loving Church of Christ, then you are missing out not on drums, and organs, and guitar music, but on love and praise and edification to our Creator

  • So what about those of us who do praise HIM with instruments? If you listen to any CD or the radio most likely you are hearing an instrument. Just wanted you to ponder that before you reply. It is the praise from his people wether its with or without an instrument.

  • The point COC is trying to make is that the church in the NT is the First Century church.History outside the bible and clues in the bible support that first century chrisitans did not use instruments

    .

Now the question i ask my instrmental friends is if the first century church praised him without instruments and it pleased him. Who made the rule that instruments would please him when it wasent the first century church written about in the NT?

  • I've never met a person that would enjoy all forms of musical instruments in worship..There are churches that have speed metal bands get up and play in front of people. All you people complaining about no instruments, how would your church react to a Christian heavy metal band playing in your worship? How would you react to long drum solos or electric guitar solos..most of you would say that is too much and only an organ is right..or soft folk guitars and light drums is the limit

  • I know the people in the congregation I attend would stop them immediately from entering the premises. We refuse to allow instruments. As an added bonus for everyone. As i dust off a history book, it appears instruments in "THE church" were not an issue until the latter half of the third century.

  • The Church of Christ worships with voices only. There are arguments in instrumental churches about the teens wanting rock music in worship and the older people wanting a more conventional piano/organ only. We don't have those issues in the true Church

  • That's not completely true, my church of Christ uses a variety of instruments and there are no arguments

  • Their is only one LORD,one Faith and one Baptism. The name on a building doesn`t signify who`s the true church. Infact those who are often caught up into that frame of mind handicapped themselves. They spend their whole live trying to persuade others of their organization(doctrine) rather than being about ministry according to GOD`S (JESUS) WORD. From the OLD (T) TO the NEW (T)

  • I did not like this video, I would much rather have the grand piano and pipe organ with more congregational singing. This kind of sining is boring to me.

  • Read the book of Amos

  • It doesnt matter if it is boring to you. It is what is acceptable to God. Grand pianos and pipe organs are not what God tells us to use while worshipping.

  • @thezumbalady Not your choice, but not wrong.

  • I thank the lord that there are still Christians out there that worship in a way pleasing in the sight of the God rather then man.. Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. show me in the New Testament where its say we can use instruments in worship to God and I will bust out the instruments

  • its amazing how people are caught up in trivial things like music when a world is dying and going to hell and we worrying if a organ is in your church or not...guess u all will miss the rapture because the word says when the first trumpet SOUND the dead in Christ are gonna rise...since u dont believe in music i guess u will ignore the trumpet SOUND! come..HOLINESS is right make sure u have the HOLYGHOST to make it heaven! that is important!

  • @faterman2000

people believe in a lot of vain statements and misuse the bible, just last week at the job 7 people were coming at me stating that tithe is still a practice........bought out the scriptures to show we are under the new covenant.

  • @1980Triumph God still loves a cheerful giver and He wants us to bring into the storehouse a tenth, Believe what you want, But this is and has always been God's Heart, Jesus said he did not come to do away with the law, But to fulfill it, If Abraham gave a 10th so shall I, Folks use the new covenant as a cloak to satisfy their own greed, I have no problem with the tithe, But do as you feel in your heart.

  • @rsalesonline

There are no examples of Old Testament practices in the New testament, the only remaining part of the law is the moral standard NOT THE PRACTICES and ORDANANCES. The bible even states that the old law was abolished, please take some time and study this issue, we don't worship the way Abraham and Moses did.

  • @rsalesonline , I would not ague with you, But I have noticed that those who throw around ideas about this subject including you , Fail to quote scriptures to back up your claims. (Matthew 5:18), Jesus Himself states that as long as heaven and earth exist not one jot or not one tittle will pass from the law until all is fulfilled.

2Cor 9:7, “every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

    Know God's Heart

  • @rsalesonline Christ did say He came to fulfill the law. Put of that included redeeming mankind to salvation, which the law could not do (Gal. 3; 4:17-18; Eph. 1:7). From the book of Acts (to start of the Church) through the rest of the NT, there is no mention of tithing as it relates to the church (just as there is no mention of noise-making instruments). Consider I Tim. 1:8-9, under grace, we have freedom. I Cor. 9:7 suggests that we give cheerfully, not compulsorily or relunctantly...

  • @rsalesonline which He did not do when He gave His Son up for our sins. Capping your giving @ 10% is giving of necessity. "I must give this, because Abraham did." Suppose you came up .09% short, will God love you less? Or you gave 33%, by the way some Israelites did as such, will God love you more? By doing such under Grace, one is merely attempting to purchase Salvation. Which we know cannot be done. POSTED WITH LOVE!!!

  • Remember as the Scripturea state, "for God loverth a cheerful giver", and regardless of $1,000 or $1, it is the faith, obedience and appreciation by the individual Borther or Sister who gives and what is in his, or her heart, that take priority.. As Christ spoke of, the prayers of the pharisees and their boastful routine meant nothing when compared with the lowly man who pray to be forgiven, for he was a lowly man and a sinner.

As a percon thinketh in his heart, so is he.

  • @faterman2000 I think you have chosen a very legalistic interpretation of this text. What it is saying basically is when you sing and make melody in your heart. The heart is all that matters. What if a person is mute? The Lord will still hear his heart because he is praising Him from his heart and not the physical act of singing.

  • @faterman2000 Many people can sing accapela but if the heart isn't right and you are not putting your whole heart into it, meaning giving evertything you have, then with or without instrumentation doesn't matter. Psalms 150 clearly shows that instrumental music is pleasing to the Lord not because He necessesarily like the music but the heart and praising Him with everything.

  • EXCELLENT point. Singing and making elody in your heart, NOT simply passing away the time. Fait and belief needs enthusiasm with them, whether singing, praying, or preaching.

  • @faterman2000 where does it say we can't?

  • @RestoringSouls101 the reason we dont use instruments is because 1. the first century church didnt have them and the bible doesnt authorize it. so we dont do it. and it clearly says to make melody in your hearts Eph. 5:19

  • @faterman2000 Show me where it says you can use microphones, have air conditioning, or use hymn books. It doesn't. Besides.. this is not a salvation issue.

  • The guy in the back looks like he's bored singing the song. Are these black people?, or house negroes, because free blacks don't sing like this. We have Spirit and you can feel it when you sing. I remember my dad singing this song acapella when I was little and it was wonderful. This is flat, no spirit at all. Oh by the way datnyone u can forget trying to show them music with instruments, they won't get it. Believe me, they won't get it. It's like trying to teach mule. Stubborn

  • u rite its kinda dry without music, but u dead wrong when u say dem ppl aint got no spirit. music (with instruments) is real good, i know dat because, imma church musician, but da most spirited and anoited songs i ever heard in church was without instruments.

  • the bible states in the new Testament to sing, not to play instruments, and history proves that the early church did not play instruments, it was all vocal. check your bible and history, the only command in the new testament is to sing, not to play, pluck, strum, pound or beat on anything

  • @1980Triumph absolutely right. Musical instruments in worship service is entertainment. Worship Service is not for entertainment. Entertainment is to entertain man...we are not entertaining man we are exalting your heavenly father. The Bible says we must worship God in spirit & in truth. Not foolish, vain worship.

  • Comment removed

  • @1980Triumph In the book of Psalms there are many examples where psalms are accompanied by instruments. I know that's old testament. But Eph 5:19 uses the word psalm. So defined by the bible it is a song sometimes performed with instruments. I try to be a servant of Christ. Let us find meekness and humbleness in all things since there is not one but Jesus that is righteous. We are sinners just as much of sinners as the lost.Thankfully we have a merciful and just Lord.

  • @1980Triumph It also does not say to have electricity, wear a tie, sit in benches, use microphones. We could go on for days about what the Bible does not say. This is not a salvation issue.

  • @drivebytruckerz ok well first off the tie thing...it says to give God your best. so if you dont have those nice clothes then no you dont have to wear them. the only reason people use instruments is for entertainment. just like the lords supper. it clearly says to take it on the first day of the week every week. and to use unleavened bread and fruit of the vine..not the things men want.

  • @atlantabrave1995 "As often as you do this.." I attend a Church of Christ, and enjoy taking the cup every week. I do not, however, believe instrumental music or communion to be salvation issues. Jesus freed us from the burden of laws and regulations in terms of our ability to get to heaven. Taking part in these types of activities is perfectly fine, and I do enjoy the things you mention as part of my worship, but I DO NOT believe it necessary or the "only" way. Jesus is the way. God Bless

  • @drivebytruckerz ok...please dont tell me that you're saying Jesus freed us from laws. and Jesus is the way and the only way. without him and without baptism we have no way to access the blood of Jesus Christ our savior

  • @atlantabrave1995 I don't want to argue with a brother or sister in Christ. You have a right to your opinion.

  • @drivebytruckerz right. and you do to. i just dont want something like that to keep you out of the pearly gates...cause that's the only reason we do that is because it's not that the bible says not to...its just it doesnt authorize it and we don't want to chance it. good luck to you and God bless.

  • @1980Triumph i know this post was while ago, but if you see this i would love u to quote to me the new testament passages where it calls us not to use anything but our voices, and also explain to me how we can just forget the instruments that the Jews used throughout the history of the bible. thanks

  • @bobalot1984 If I may have your email address, I will forward as an attachment a lesson prepared addressing just the issue you are questioning. Thank you

  • @1980Triumph Not true. Instruments have existed as long as man has been on earth; besides if Old Testament worshipped through dance and instruments, why would they suddenly stop in the New Testament? How do you explain that the origin of "psalm" means to pluck a harp?? Look it up...i left the church of Christ because I wanted to feel joy as God instructed. Message if you want to know more

  • @saxysai

There is nothing wrong with instruments but not during service. faterman2000 addressed this already. We don't perform any part of the Old Testament way so if you continue to go back there then there lies your problem. It is even written in the New Testament that where Moses is preached they are lost.

  • @1980Triumph you don't need to tell me this--I grew up church of Christ. I know all the arguements. You will not convince me you are right. I left for a reason. You still did not explain to me why the New Testament tells us to praise Him with songs and psalms, and the root of psalm is to play a harp....

  • @saxysai Whatever personal reasons you left for are your own, but in the New Testament it the command is to sing, not play an instrument. It is as simple as doing exactly what the bible says versus what we want to do. Actually if you look up the church historically most even older denominations sang vocally without instruments, even the original Baptist did this. Who are doing what you want versus what was commanded

  • this is beautiful. my grandfather led this song so many times before his death in june '08. i watch youtube videos all the time of hymns to rememebr him.

I attend Science Hill Church of Christ in Murfreesboro,TN.

  • Did anyone else think "Father Along" was another name for God b/c of this song growing up?

  • I am a Gospel Preacher in Gustine, TX. I appreciate this video so very much! We should post more videos like this one. It is a great opportunity to teach and admonish (Eph 5:19). Thank you!

  • Thank you so much for sharing this song!! I worship with the saints at Kleinwood Church of Christ in Houston, TX. This is so uplifting!

  • Now THIS is good worship music

  • We sing these songs that this song leader sings at my church. "Harvest Church of Christ"

  • Great Song! Thanks for posting.

  • i loved it. i find myself searching songs that my youth group used to sing or that i heard at central florida bible camp. but i just love listening to these old songs they make me feel so happy.

  • Yes, do y'all sing By and By or I Know it Was the Blood? Tell your elders the internet is making special requests!

  • Or, how about, Do Not Pass Me By? Oh, that is my favorite. In my church now, we don't sing these old songs and I really end up missing them.

  • I am a Baptist preacher from VA

I am eating this song/hymn up

It was in 1985 that I recognized this hymn

I was in 9th grade and my godmother died

Her friend who is now deceased sang this song

    at the homegoing services

    Thank you so much

After 23 years my eyes still fill with water

and my heart is made glad as I know every line by memory

    Thank you so much

  • excellent. thanks so much...

  • Would be most appreciative if you could post more here on You Tube. Many times I play them over and over again. Brings such a joy to my heart.

  • Just Heavenly....Please post more songs!

  • Best wishes from the Foote Street church of Christ in Corinth, MS. Funny, our churches here are segregated, so it's nice to hear these standard songs sung a little differently. We are all one in Christ.

  • Certainly a blessing to have your songs posted online. I've already listened to several over and over again. Keep up this good work... :-)

  • Greetings from the Southside Church of Christ in Los Angeles CA.

  • 2Tim2:16

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

    (Instrument allowed)

    PSALM 150

did I mention I love it?

  • Thank you for posting this, its absolutely beautiful! This is my favorite gospel hymn. Although I have left the COC looking for a church that was not run independently.

I can still not get used to the use of musical instruments in worship service and at times I seriously long for this element in my life. Thank you very much for providing that missing element.

  • You should come on back.

  • I want to thank the person who posted this video. My Father passed away last night and I was asked to pick out the three songs for the funeral. This was a song my Dad loved and hearing it reminded me of just how much he loved to sing it.

  • Awesome

  • Pleae post more of these. It is wonderful

  • Thanks much for sharing this hymn
