  • Prescient!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome video. funny how all the socialists sputtering about how he's not a socialist.

  • I wish he was a Socialist. I would like him more.

  • Change for the worse has come to America! Impeach Obama before it is to late!

  • If he were actually a socialist, I'm sure he'd be getting praise, not scorn.

  • The true problem is at BEST you can say he has failed to change anything. Which means what? that government he took over was socialist?

  • Obama didn't nationalize anything,he didn't change anything,it's only a continuation of what that idiot Bush intended to do:More free market, free trade, corporate power, create puppet states.

    Obama is not socialist,I AM.

  • Video: well-made

    Message: fail.

  • The only thing good about this video is the Radiohead music.

Whoever made this video, you are stupid; You watch too much fox news; and you have no idea what REAL SOCIALISM IS. Go back to High School. Seriously.

  • you know im really sick of you fascist calling us socialist when most of the world embraces us and has rejected your ideology, and btw i only say fascist because that is the only real ideology the "tea party" fits into. now stop failing at life and go back to school! =P

  • dude im a socialist, Obama is not a socialist, if anything hes a center right president, i mean hes done nothing in trums of socialist policies or even progressive policies. now stop watching fox news and go take some political science class you fool! =P

  • Still your best video to date, Ben. We are going to need you to unload all of your creative talents for 2012. Get some rest, we're gonna need you.

  • Well made video.

    Extremely stupid and false-propaganda message.

  • Socialism is the equal sharing of poverty while the useless elitists live it up off their broken backs.

  • @Srekwah Socialism is the democratic distribution of wealth based on labour. What you're describing is fascism, which is what most of the world led by the USA lives under now.

  • Socializing losses but not profits is slavery. We did not get rid of slavery we made it an equal opportunity master.

  • A well made video by someone who knows nothing about socialism.

The irony is that the theme of this is "stop spending", while these same people adamantly refuse to stop funding the American war machine.

    Democracy + Economics = Socialism

(PS, all of these videos were from FOX News commentary shows. Debunked.)

  • Capitalism is a snake eating humanflesh, then it turns and it eats its own tail.

  • a well-crafted video from a person who hasn't the slightest educated idea about what socialism actually means. for all of your grievances but a few, like the nationalization of certain failing companies, Obama has NOT displayed socialist governing in the least, this video is just completely asinine and noneducational.

  • héy_ÄNÿÔNê_wàÑñA_chát_wìth_me_Ì_féÊl_sÔ_lønËlÿ_tõDäÿ♀

  • socialist is different the communist morons we need it in this country dont blame obama bush fuck this country up or you forgot he spent billions just to get oil and know we are hated by everyone and know they like us and know they hate us thanks to all you republicans look all the countrys who are socialist and then look at capitalis and then think

  • Most US socialists want to tax the rich, cut corporate welfare, seek justice from Wall Street for the criminal acts, and get the Hell out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Obama has more in common with either George Bush than a real socialist.

  • This video is a joke made by someone who doesn't understand what socialism is. Obama is a capitalist. He's done nothing to help the working class, and everything to put money in the pockets of the corporations. Stop spending? How does that save anything? The solution is to stop cutting taxes for the rich. Corporate tax cuts have been in effect for 10 years. How's that economy doing? The unemployment rate? Thought so.

  • Hey, Ben Howe! I thought you ought to know, this is my all-time favorite video. You got a helluva lot of stuff in here. All of it absolutely true.

Well done! Keep telling the truth! Your country thanks you!

  • Fuck you Republicans. You shit-heads were fine with the USA Patriot Act taking away our freedoms and two illegal wars (yes the War on Terror is a war too) so don't arrogantly remark that the Left is the only problem in this country. You guys are NOT Patriots but in fact worse screw ups. Plus this song is an injustice to a liberally-minded band like Radiohead. You guys know how to take things and ruin them.

  • Besides Social Security, the only significant socialism we've experienced is corporate welfare - the Wall St. bailouts in 1987 & 2008 and the tax breaks given to oil corporations and other friends of Wall St. Obama is a continuation of Reagan/Bush Sr./Clinton/Bush Jr. Why are people only complaining now? Where the fuck were all of you the past 30 years? You're not all under 40. I've been talking about this shit since Reagan's first term, when they attacked the middle class for Wall St.

  • @tripfunkmonster People have been complaining for incredibly long tiring time, it is only now that you have decided to listen

  • @samuils: I'm not talking about bitching & moaning and then forgetting about it - I'm talking about taking action. Were all of these people that are complaining about the Obama administration complaining about the Bush/Cheney people? I don't think so. I haven't seen so much dissent since the early Clinton years before he turned republican - & the funny thing is Obama is more Wall St. than Clinton ever was.

  • @tripfunkmonster Once again, you simply didnt listen, maybe you should have listened to the airways, you would have heard people complaining and talking about Bush spending. And what in the world do you think Obama election was? that was exactly the action. Or did you want to see a violent revolution. Obama was elected because he was preaching to the opposition of Bush, and turned out to be Bush on steroids, and thats why people got even more angry

  • @tripfunkmonster Who do you think owns wall street and the banks in america? it is not the tea party it is the liberal elite and obama is one of them. I didnt get a stimulus check but goldman sachs did.

  • @Cennedi: I'm not sure in what context your comment was made, but Obama is a Fascist, not a socialist. All of his actions have helped corporations - just as much as George Wall St. Bush. He is the fifth consecutive Wall St. president this country has had. The tea party is just a Wall St.-financed side road for the middle class to be directed to - away from facing the problems we have in a responsible manner.

  • People who conspire, solicit or aid and abet coercion should be arrested for doing such. That includes conspiring, soliciting or aiding and abetting criminal socialists.

  • Gingrich said "car companies" not "automobile firms". WE'RE SAFE WITH OBAMA. TRUST US!

  • Search 'They Censored Us TV' for the finest revolutionary hip-hop out there!

  • Excellent job. Well done, sir.

  • Regardless of what Obama used to believe in ...hes just another puppet for corporate interasts

  • The left is in freefall... has their dear leader forsaken them?

  • @hellotommy Dont be a partisan moron, the right is no better - the whole paradigm is a sham

  • This stuff is hysterical. Obama gives us a pro-corporate "reform" of health care with ZERO public option and has people arrested for even ATTEMPTING to discuss single payer, does nothing to raise taxes on the wealthy, pumps MORE billions into pentagon pork, supports the illegal and immoral coup in Honduras, throws Van Jones and Gates and Wright under the bus, and in general proves to be another Clintonian centrist, and STILL the radical right calls him "Socialist".

    if only it were true.

  • @PrisonerNumber9653 you got that right. Scum sucking pigs on fox lead their goofy sheep to that conclusion. Here Obama is bending over backwards to suck up to Chamber of Commerce, Wall Street, and the Fat Cats, and the cock suckers want even MORE.

They are richer than ever, got rich by screwing the public, and they want even MORE. It's fucking unreal. But that is Fox and Beck and Rush for ya.

  • does anyone know the ad thats anti-obama that begins with him giving a televised or internet speech and then goes on and i dont remember what else it goes into but i do remember that it has the OBAAMAA chants in the background. The ad is really good i saw it a while ago like before the elections and i cant find it anymore :( someone help please

  • Incredibly powerful video.

If you need evidence of this guy's wildly delusional self-love, watch him swing a golf club or dribble a basketball.

He thinks he's this big-time playah. But he couldn't make a halfway decent high school freshman squad.

  • Barack Obama is a bourgeois socialist, meaning he believes in the state serving the higher class of the bourgeoisie rather than the working class of the proletariat. You should know that there is a difference between bourgeois socialism and communist socialism.

  • @zoobly3 I used the same exact video/photography timing, style & musical score and logo as the original ad for the "Social Network" movie. This is clearly a parody of that ad and thus falls under Fair Use copyright law.

I've already consulted attorneys on this matter but thank you very much for your very public threat. I'm assuming you have nothing to do with the label given that you didn't handle this through the appropriate channels and seem to have no idea what you are talking about.

  • @benhoweblog Hey asshole, it's been TWO MONTHS since you made that prissy little fake threat. I'm loving this video. God bless america, free speech, political satire, and god save this nation from card carrying communists and ignorant, snot-nosed little brats like you.

  • @jimmyjohnsman1 whoops... should have read the whole thing more carefulloy. rock on bro

  • @jimmyjohnsman1 AMEN to that!

  • @benhoweblog Brilliant video, Ben! Of course, the greatest irony would be if this piece DOESN'T get categorized and protected under the law of parody and satire -- because it is so real; indeed, it should simply be dished out from a PAC and ran on TV every evening until the election. Then the good guys win.

  • @zoobly3 Keep your thought on the other side of the pound. I am tired of you Socialist around the world that are wanting to put their nose in American affairs. Can you speak for EMI are you their spokesman ? Just another socialist trying to use scare tactics. Well guess what THEY ARE NOT WORKING ANY MORE>>>

  • @ridehardmc this person has recently had his heart torn out and is lashing out. cant handle the fact that people are now on to Obama. Its not change, its socialism.

  • @zoobly3 typical whining lib. Best response to speech is to silence it through government, right?

  • @zoobly3 What a complete douchebag. Go play somewhere else you twat.

  • inyourface......Throwing in a Straw Man to make your point of fear is not in the interest of good government, but then again what do you know?

  • spend

  • I see the meltdown of liberalism ,its fault is that if you throw enough money at a problem you can fix it ..

Margaret Thatcher: "The trouble with Socialism is, sooner or

later you run out of other people's money "When you subsidize poverty and failure, you get more of both."

James Dale Davidson, National Taxpayers Union "The more corrupt the state, the more it legislates." - Tacitus "A Liberal is a person who will give away everything he doesn'town." - Unknown

  • The liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by

    creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;

    satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;

    augmenting primitive feelings of envy;

rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.

  • I don't care who they put in office. You cannot fix 100 plus years of fuck ups. He is not the only president that fucked up or lied. We are just going to vote for someone else when he's done to continue fucking us over like he has, Bush and everyone else before him. They all suck dick as far as I am concerned.

  • @FarceTax Please stop making my opinions look bad by sharing them with me. Thanks.

It's bad enough that you can't back up your claims, but you look like a total idiot by presenting yourself the way you do. If you really want to debate, it's usually a good idea to be respectful. Now if you want to look like an asshole, well... Good job.

But seriously, shut up. The way you present yourself only hurts your very own argument, it's (un)common sense really.

  • Hope defeated hate, in Oh 8.

But hate mongers have pounding lies and distortion in the empty heads of its sheep.

Let the GOP run things, like they always do, they go to war, they run up debt, and the screw the working folks.

  • Calling Obama a socialist is an insult to REAL socialists like me. He isn't liberal enough to be a socialist. I believe in true, single-payer socialized health care, not the half-assed crap he passed. And I don't believe in corporate bailouts. And let's please not associate socialists like me with commies. I don't like che, marx, or soviet russia.

  • Wow, this is a 'best of' all the lies of the bat shit crazy Republicans who fool the average voter into electing their corporation controlled shills in and turn around and screw the middle class. WAKE UP PEOPLE, THE EXTREME RIGHT WILL NOT HELP YOU! THEY ARE FOOLING YOU WITH HATE, LIES AND FEAR WHILE THEY LAUGH BEHIND YOUR BACKS. This ad was probably funded with the foreign money they've been taking.

  • That video is FRESH......chills

  • @east21st And you're a dumbfuck....dag!

  • There is no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Atlas Shrugged

  • funny how they call Obabma a socialist, he seems to be pretty concerned with the welfare of the corporations, I know the drug companies are loving him.

  • @saintjasin It's funny how people can say that he is not a socialist when he has admitted to it, as have other Democrates.

  • Why do conservatives have so much in common with Socialists and communists? You use fear, lies and you even have your own television network to control your message.

You supported torture for the first time in our history, illegal wire tapping, outed a spy because they exposed your fraudulent sales pitch to sell a war and you speak of civil war because you've lost power. Your authoritarianism is the same stuff that's the glue of Socialism, communism and Nazism....not universal healthcare.

  • @chorizo1337 Yeah I'm sure that is a genuine verbatim quote. No doubt you have all kinds of references to substantiate it even though it was "years ago". No? Oh and armed conflict between competing interests is the same thing as an economic system that controls the means of production in order to ensure each according to his ability and each according to his needs. Right. Make the next brilliant point that a police force is also socialism because they are funded through the state. I love that o

  • Don't ever forget the values that make America great: 1.) Liberty 2.) In God We Trust 3.) E pluribus unum. They are inscribed on every American coin and represent the antithesis of everything the left stands for (equality, secularism/ in government we trust, multiculturalism). I cannot wait to throw these left-wing bums out of office in a few weeks.

  • I will never support Marxism. This country is still worth fighting for!

  • @InYourFaceCTM Amen!

  • What a worthless BUM....

  • Leftism doesn't work. Didn't work in France in the late 18th century. Didn't work in the Soviet Union. Doesn't work in Cuba or China or Venezuela. Or Italy or Greece or France or England.

And, as the past couple of years in America proves, it won't work here either.

I'm hoping and praying that people are finally realizing that very clear fact.

  • I don't disagree with most of the video, but where were the outcries before the guy spending up at the top was darker than the other presidents -- me thinks I'm smelling the presence of a *racist Tea Bagger*.

tongue-lash my taint, you freaking racist Tea Bagger...

  • @Hardryv What is a teabagger ? Some made up term to denigrate Americans, who disagree with this marxist government ? I suggest you move to Cuba where your kind is more welcome.

  • @Auggie56 I think you mean tea partiers...

    Tea bagging is humping....

  • @RoboRandy1 Tea bagging is putting your balls in someones mouth, in video games it's a common way to mock the person you just killed by squating over their face and pretending you are doing this.. it's a victory dance of sorts... so this november they can call me a tea bagger all they want, if they can even pull it off with their mouths being so full.

  • Must see

  • something a liberal will never understand

The Constitution is a written instrument. As such, its meaning does not alter. That which it meant when it was adopted, it means now. — SOUTH CAROLINA v. US, 199 U.S. 437, 448 (1905)

  • sorry but, even with republicans in power, the debt goes up by alot too. Dont forget bush. Besides, republicans are socialists too:

"war creates new jobs and is good for the economy"

    -Bush

  • @chorizo1337 Where did you get this alleged quote from ?

  • @Auggie56 I remember he said it years ago. Anyways war is still socialism. And the republicans support wellfare in the military. Oh and they have socialized prostitution too. They pay you to get married to anyone you choose

  • When asked how they arrived at the number of billions for the stimulus, Pelosi said we knew we just wanted it to be really 'big'.

  • @NHTPC yes it should have been bigger.

  • Very well done! Awesome!

  • "We're out of money now"? Bwahahaha. We're ALL out of money people. Every country. There are no winners in this game.

  • Graet video. Well done.

  • Øbama was, and is, a student of "The Cloward - Piven Strategy", Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, and Liberation Theology. His entire Academic Career is based around these basic concepts, concepts to this day he will not deny or admonish.

All three theories espouse the tearing down of American Capitalism, by any means available, and replacing it with Marxism.

His Actions tell a story that his non-stop campaigning lies do nothing to refute.

Follow the money (right off the cliff).

  • commerce and enterprise, intentionally destroying the common man's opportunity to build a largely successful, free market business. While economic conditions worsen and government agencies continue to enforce their control on successful businesses,

the solution -laissez-faire capitalism as the only way to live consistently with his beliefs.

  • @tutorturtle who does this sound like ...fill in the blanks -dystopian United States at an unspecified time, society stagnates when independent productive achievers began

to be socially demonized and punished for their accomplishments.- dominant trend, is moving toward dictatorship.-leads the government's efforts in controlling all

  • @why760nitro Great quote, I know I've heard it before on a college-level American history lecture series (The Learning Company's: The Great Courses) , but I can't place it. A mid-eighteenth century Englishman I think?

  • @tutorturtle Obama's mistake was like Lincoln's -- he took it easy on the scum sucking pigs. Lincoln tried to accomodate lunatic haters in the South -- and they attacked. But that is what the South had been doing for 50 years.

Obama tried to accomodate insurance companies, Wall street, and Chamber of Commerce.

Obama should have let Wall Street collapse, but you dumb asses would bitch about that too.

  • @FilmCriticOne Huh?

Do you even comprehend what's being written here?

Your comment makes no logical sense considering the direction of the this thread.

We actually agree, why can't you can't see it?

  • @tutorturtle you dumb fuck are a student of Hate Radio and insane paranoia, up your ass nonsense.

take your head out of your dumb ass.

  • @FarceTax Such eloquent prose.

I've been reading you're other musings...

    My thoughts:

If I stuffed your brain up a Grasshoppers ass, it would rattle around up there, like a walnut in an empty dump-truck.

  • turtle, you are one slow fuck. Obama's choice was to save the economy, after fucktards like you nearly ruined

  • @MarkDouglasC The world has wakened up to the fact it can no longer support you leeches. Cry me a river.

  • @tutorturtle Is that you, Jon Voight?

  • @greggh No.

I didn't know who he was until I just did a search.

Now that I've read up on him I now realize I've seen some of his work, just didn't recall the name.

    Interesting cat.

Another Liberal who got mugged by reality.

In that way, we share a similar story.

  • @greggh No. It's Ayan Rand.

  • @tylerdurden4495 It's Ayn Rand! "Who is John Gault?"

  • @tutorturtle well said. cheers from amsterdam.

  • @tylerdurden4495 You're welcome. This subject inflames passion like no other.

Nothing less than the future sustainability of Western culture hangs in the balance.

  • This is the Change I voted Against.

And I'll do it again in 22 days.

    November.

  • ok guys, debating back and forth with 3 different people over youtube is really time consuming, so no more! Its been fun and informative though, thanks!

  • I wished voters would simply do some basic research. Obama was one of the lawyers that SUED CITIBANK to make loans to "people who otherwise could NOT AFFORD homeownership"

  • And not the kind where the government intervening destroys the prosperity and advancement of everyone else. Where the government undermines the medical advancements that could in fact help the people you care about. The problem is not intent. The problem is method and outcome.

  • @Redwoodman12 I would love to continue this conversation, it has been an enlightening debate but its also taking way too much of my time responding to 5-8 replies to my youtube comments and trying to truncate my thoughts and beliefs in 500 characters or less. But it was nice talking to you.

  • @mawirag On a more pleasant note just let me say your concern for the less fortunate is laudable. Those who are sick, those that come from dire circumstances, we should care for them and find ways to help. Believe it or not cold, cruel atheist Conservolibertarians like me believe in charity. The private kind. Not the kind where the government decides who is worthy and who is not.

  • @Redwoodman12 Thanks and I admire your passion for the country as well. I dont think you are cold or cruel, otherwise you wouldn't demonstrate your passion or conviction for your beliefs. My belief is while private charity works, it is simply not enough. In an efficient govt. Make it too small and its powerless to help its people.

  • @mawirag Back I come for more punishment. In rejecting Dan Mitchell's presentation as a "fake lobbying group" did you get the central point that when government spends money it has to come from somewhere? That it comes from one of two places: the printing press or the private sector. Too much printing press means inflation. Too much draining of the private sector means killing jobs, innovation and wealth creation. Keynesian Economics doesn't create prosperity. It simply shuffles confiscated wea

  • @Redwoodman12 I have no proof to support my skepticism of the D.Mitchell site. But it does have a similar MO to other Astroturf sites like freedomworks. What the govt is trying to do now is to keep the economy moving or shuffling as D.Mitchell calls it. The private sector is weak and losing jobs, to compensate the govt opens up new jobs in the public sector, to keep people working, stabilize the economy and allow the private sector time to rebuild. The govt has the money to do this through tax

  • @shalcall So Sean Hannity says Obama bears the entire responsibility for initiating the recession? Hannity says that Obama is responsible for Dodd and Frank, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Bob Rubin and Jamie Gorelick? Hannity says that Obama compelled banks to make bad loans? Would you please provide links which prove this statement: Republicans have been blaming Obama for initiating the recession even before he assumed office. Because that was the statement YOU made.

  • @Redwoodman12 I simply said that Sean Hannity blamed Obama for the recession and referred to it as "Obama's recession" as early as November 2008. You might doubt me on this and I don't know where on the web Hannity's show might be recorded, but if you have access to Lexis-Nexis it would be easy to search.

  • The rate at which we are declining has slowed. Obama prevented a depression.

Bush pressed hard down on the metaphorical accelerator of economic decline. Obama is applying the brakes and reverse throttle. We just haven't switched directions yet.

You cant go straight from decline right in the increase.

  • @Vindaven BS!

  • whats name of this song??? sounds beautiful .

  • @mrmagicmixable Creep by Radiohead.

  • Even if the dems are out in '10, we will continue to send money to overseas banks via the IRS and the Federal Reserve., Both private corporations by the way. Funny how the IRS has the stones to use a dot-gov domain when they are a private company not accountable to us via congress. Don't believe they're privately held? Look it up. To add: anyone who is allowed to be 'elected' is most certainly blackmailable to one degree or another.

  • Were the rights cleared to use this song? Let's go find out.

  • @Mambo64 So you're going to go for the censorship angle? LOL...you MUST be a tolerant liberal.

  • @infantryrocks god forbid! i'm a proud Fascist.

  • Dey tuuurrrk euuur jeuurbbssss

  • @mawirag Look up "Dan Mitchell Keynesian Economics Wrong" right here on YouTube. The guy is not exciting but he gives an illuminating, concise and general overview of the competing economic theories and why Keynesian Economics is dead wrong. He goes over Hoover, FDR and even Bush policies to demonstrate why big government is not the economic answer.

  • @Redwoodman12 I will take a look at that. I did notice that the video was made for a site called the Center for Freedom and Prosperity. Which sounds fishy to me. At first glance the site looks like another lobbying fake site. Plus it has videos about how the minimum wage kills jobs. So I'm pretty skeptical especially since they are supported by guys like Dick Armey and Jim Demint who I think are idiots and opportunists. But I will take a look at the video

  • I used to be a democrat until I started doing my own research. I use the government's own data.

It's the private sector that drives our economy, not the public sector. It's really not that difficult to understand. Lower taxes leaves more money in the pockets of the private sector to spend, innovate, discover, research, cure, grow and provide jobs. How has the government provided any of those? Why reward failure, when you could be rewarding success?

  • @NAGGERNUTZ Thats true in a healthy economy. But when the private sector suffers from massive job losses. The govt has to step up employment to compensate. Otherwise if you have the private sector losing jobs and the public sector employing at normal or lower than normal levels, then you have a lot of unemployed people. Its not about rewarding failure its about helping families keep there homes, feed there families and keep there kids out of poverty

  • @mawirag You don't understand in the slightest the historical or economic examples you cite. You put blind trust into guys like Obama, Krugman and Geitner. Stop for moment and consider that your leadership may just be wrong. Challenge their ideas by actually viewing alternate views. It really isn't that painful. In the end you may just validate what you believed at the start. Or you might in fact be opened up to a whole new way of thinking. What's the harm?

  • @Redwoodman12 Thats just the thing, there are no alternative views that have been presented. All I've heard is tax cuts and everyone ranting about Obama being a socialist/communist/marxist/racist/whatever -ist there is out there. And just because I agree with conventional reason doesnt mean that I'm blind. It just means I disagree with you. I can just as easily argue that you are blind coz you r basing your beliefs on a video in youtube. And theres only so much I can explain in 500 char.

  • @Redwoodman12 OK buddy I watched the Dan Mitchells video you sent me as well as others on his website. And I find them to be ridiculous. For example he says to improve the economy without raising taxes we should restrict federal spending to only whats in the constitution and cut everything else. GREAT!! Lets get rid of the FDA!!! At 1st glance, his videos are filled with half truths to fit his narrative.

  • @mawirag I'm going to go out on a limb here and state that you support Keynesian Economics because you support Obama. You say things are improving but you can't show statistical data to prove it. You say FDR's policies helped with the Depression but you can't even begin to show data as to how. You say less taxation is a bad thing but can't explain why. I'm starting to notice a pattern.

  • Bush started 2 UNFUNDED wars and cut taxes for the rich, it was a recipe for economic disaster.....and it worked. Now Obama has been at work for 2 yrs (with the GOP saying NO TO EVERYTHING) and GDP is positive being going in the right direction since he took office. An 8 year disaster takes some time to work thru kiddies.

  • @SuperShockjock - Sorry, but I have to jump in here. I hate to burst your bubble, but support for both wars was bipartisan. There are videos right here on YT showing Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, et al... giving speeches about the necessity of the Iraq and Afghan wars.

Also, growth just dropped from 2.4% of GDP to 1.6% of GDP. Um, that's negative growth, my friend. Unemployment has been above 9.5% for over 14 months. The only other time in history it stayed that high that long was the depression.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ you shouldn't be jumping in any conversation, since you literally suck at math.

Growth went from 2.4% of GDP to 1.6% of GDP, so that's negative growth? If you're going 24 mph, and now you're only going 16mph, are you going negative speed? You can say you're slowing down. You can say there has been negative acceleration, but you can't say you have negative speed if you're still moving forward.

Tell me, how fast was the economy growing when Obama got into office?

  • @shalcall - Are you still here? I thought you'd have slithered off by now. I've debated quite a few liberals, but rarely do I debate one that actually sends me a spreadsheet that proves himself wrong.

Now, if you'll read the comment that I responded to, you'll see that one of your buddies said we've had positive growth since Obama took office. Going from 2.4% of GDP to 1.6% is negative growth, no matter how you try to spin it. Now go away.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ you really have to be a troll. The spreadsheet I linked to proved your assertion wrong. I never denied that spending went up. I never denied that debt went up. But you stated that Obama had spent more than all presidents through Reagan, combined. That was a lie that you have yet to acknowledge.

Secondly, do you understand what the word "growth" means? 1.6% growth, is still growth. It's not as fast as 2.4%, but it's still positive. That's not spin, that's fact.

  • @shalcall - Get your little calculator out and add up the numbers. Let's see who's math challenged.

Now, do you realize that when the economy goes from 2.4% of GDP to 1.6% that the economy is failing? Do you also understand that if the economy slows to below 1.6%, that's depression? Obama has placed this country on the precipice of depression... and that's not spin.

  • @NAGGERNUTZ I'm sorry. I failed to realize how ignorant you are about basic economics. Recessions and Depressions are periods of decreasing GDP (among other factors) by definition. So if the economy is GROWING by 1.6% annually, that means that it's 1.6% MORE than it was the previous year.

Negative growth would indicate that it's 1.6% LESS than it was the previous year. We are GROWING at 1.6%. This is not as much as it should be. But it's not "negative."

Is that too complicated for you?

  • @shalcall - I'm sorry too. I didn't realize that you learned economics from a pamphlet that you picked up at WalMart. That's what makes me chuckle about the liberal mind. The economy slows from 2.4% of GDP to 1.6% and somehow you'll pick fly shit out of pepper like it's no big deal. Just keep spending, adding new entitlements, as if the ones we have aren't failing. Money grows on trees. The money that the government spends isn't ours. Everything should be free. See? Even I could be liberal.

  • @shalcall I want government to give Mexicans free health care and education at your expense.

I want government to take over industry and apply the efficiency of the US Post Office. Pouring water on a terrorist's face is horrible, but killing a baby in the womb is good.

Global Warming is a fact, even if those same scientists can't tell the weather for next week.

  • I voted Democrat because... Working is too hard. Thinking is way too hard. I am 26, sponging off my mom, and I want free Health Care. Freedom of speech is fine as long as I am not offended by it. I want government to tax your earnings and give me things I want.

If I knock-up my girlfriend I want government to pay her to kill the baby. We need to raise taxes on business... Gee... Why do things cost so much?

  • @why760nitro Your two posts show a stunning level of ignorance and misinformation.

  • @shalcall exactly...Bush's tax cuts ballooned the gov't debt and proved that tax cuts DO NOT = job creation.

  • @SuperShockjock Please do some research. Your first sentence alone disqualifies you from serious consideration.

  • @infantryrocks Ok so cutting taxes for the rich and starting 2 unfunded wars has no effect on gov't debt......how much did you spend in Iraq EVERY month for the past 7 years????? Stick to balancing your checkbook and leave economics to the adults..thanks

  • @SuperShockjock Again, you clearly demonstrate you don't know what you're talking about in the very first sentence. It's really sad. Please, please do more research.

  • @mawirag FDR continued the same kinds of policies. Big spending, big taxes, public works. And what did we get? A decade of economic stagnation with high unemployment. Or perhaps you can explain how the New Deal was a success that only took WWII and some 20 years to get us back where we were in 1929? And then you can explain why the policies of Hoover/FDR/Obama are a good idea?

  • @Redwoodman12 if FDR's big spending, taxing and public works made matters worse why did the economy improve after the passing of the new deal? Every sane historian agrees that the new deal had +ve effects but yes I agree with you that WWII helped as well. How I know Obama policies are good ideas? Simple, the economy is improving. Its not great but its better than it was 2 yrs ago . Unlike some, I wasn't expecting this to be a quick fix but new it would take a long time to recover.

  • @mawirag The "economy improving" was a mere shadow game. It wasn't real, just artificial recovery as long as tax dollars kept flowing into various public works projects. WWII gave all that spending a real purpose, but it was still vastly taxpayer-subsidized stimulus. The economy didn't genuinely recover to pre-depression levels until the '50s. Recent in-depth research showed that the New Deal extended the depression by about 7 years.
