  • does anyone here try saltwater minnow b4? i need some advice on casting for barramundi...

  • went fishing today and i saw a gulp minnow pack in my friends tackles tackle box put it on my hook first cast bam a nice flounder really good bait

  • @oulap54321 Great! It's a great bait that catches almost everything as you demonstrated. =)

  • @ProAnglers is there a difference between the label that says "outfish all other baits" and "the natural attraction?"

  • @ProAnglers I bought a few of them but they dont work at all. Suggestions

  • i am related to Chris Pluntz

  • LOL... Do you really want to admit that in public... he he.

  • Great vid, man. I have some Gulp minnows also, but never knew how to use them properly, therefore I never really caught anything on them. Thanx

  • Thank You!

  • very good video.

  • thank you!

  • Do they work for sea fishing Amberjacks??

  • Good question... I have no idea

  • Sorry for so many questions, but i live in Washington. And often go over to Eastern Washington just past Omak. I was wonder if you know of any good bass lakes. Or if you've heard of Whitestone, or Palmer. What i could use?? Thanks.

  • You have to try Banks Lake for GIANT small mouth or Potholes and Columbia River (anywhere). Lake Washington has nice bass as well. My favorite all around bait for bass is a Carolina rig, 3/8oz weight, 24inch leader, a 1/0 Gamakatsu EWG hook and a beaver tail by reaction innovations. See our video.

  • How many inches is that minnow and how much is it???thanks

  • Our Favorite Size is the 3" minnow and favorite "flavor" is Watermelon Pearl or Boji Blue. It runs $5.95 (or less if you find a deal) for 12. They will last a while if you take them off the hooks and place them back in the packs. They dry fast on the hooks.

  • Can this technique work in lakes and reservoirs for th trout or does it only work for streams and rivers??and does this work for any other species of fish??/thanks...

  • It works better in lakes and reservoirs! Especially around underwater structures. Works really well for bass, trout and walleye.

  • Can this also be used to catch striped bass????and if you use it lakes for trout do you sink it to the bottom or do you jig it???

  • Not sure about strippers but here is a technique that may work. Use a lighter head and a bigger body. (Biigger Gulp minnow - they come in many sizes) Cast toward structures holding the bass and let the bait drift down slowly and then reel back slowly before reaching the bottom. This will make it act more like a swim bait. You can also swim it near the bottom and make it act like it's a small fish foraging on the bottom. The smaller the head, the bigger the body, the slower it will drop.

  • Great video, thanks. I plan to try em out for some browns and lakers in my local reservoir. I'm looking to try the 4" size gulp minnow....what weight jighead do you recommend? When it comes to trout, I'm more of a spoon/spinner guy.

  • Hi, I agree. For Spring Browns I would use shallow Crank Baits in 6ft - 10ft of water over weed beds. They kill em. Look for our video on Browns and crank baits coming next week. We killed em. =) As far as jig heads, I would use 1/2oz unless you go deep or fish current. Good luck and send us your browns video and we'll post it on our website. Good Luck.

  • Thanks for the video/info. Did well with this bait fishing a steep dropoff from shore. The lakers were tearing it up.

  • Shoot a video using the method and we'll add it to our website! Thx

  • -- BERKLEY GULP is killer bait ,, THAT is what USA is exporting A LOT. in E.Europe BERKLEY gulp is atomic weapon to catch fish.

  • Try it and let us now how it works. Water conditions, fish species, bait presentation, etc.. love to hear how it works for you.

  • Cool video, I always wonder about the gulp bait. I fish for crappie and use the power nibbles.

    Thanks,

    Lynn

  • Ya, it works well. The trick is to cut off a small piece of the head to get the scent really going. ..oh and I really love crappie. I'll have to give the power nibbles a try..thx =)
