The Soviets had their "dictatorship of the proletariat," but the state didn't whither away, as Marxism predicted. Instead, the state became a devouring monster, as John Locke, David Hume et al would have predicted.

Latin America may be "capitalist," by your definition, but free markets there are a small minority.  Read Hernando de Soto.

Shit economically it made it even worse, more unemployment, poverty and so on... Soviet Union had known actual week of invasion, but days/hours that was almost impossible to pinpoint, what is important they had all ready for them, which resulted that whole German offansive even in the first few hours of invasion had many times more casualties that they expected in the most grim evaluation.

If you recall, Poland then was created from occupied Russia (or in this point from occupied Soviet Union) by German side, very flattering.
