  • i think i pitched a tent

  • @reaumeju

Hey, go fuck yourself! The beast has a 3 spd automatic drag racing tranny; shift if you want, or don't. But no clutch! If you listen @ the start you can hear a "clack". That's him shifting. So go drop your standard & put a new clutch in the son 'bitch!

  • Watch for bicyclists! Awesome car.

  • Too bad it's an automatic, real muscle cars are sticks.

  • TY TY TY

  • horsepower dont mean shit when the poncho torque put four car lengths on a chevy from the start!!!

    VIVA LA PONTIAC!!

  • Nice -- GTO's had it all back then -looks-ride -performance .

  • Thing I loved about the goats the best, they rode so damn nice, fast enough to matter, even stock, yet the ride was smooth, and they handled decent, Miss looking that hood.... Nice Vid

  • 100 % Stock

  • its not 400hp then. Even if thats what it said it was stock. back then it was rated at gross hp. so its probably more like 250hp net.

  • Does underrated mean anything to you? Besids it has go to have at least 400 lbft of Torque.

  • You can tell by the acceleration that it does not make 400hp. and for the torque i would hope it would make 400 ft lbs torque. the late 70's 400's and 455's made around 400 ft lbs torque with 7.6cr and under 200hp

  • Youre saying 400 ft lbs of torque but under 200hp?? You are fucking stupid!

  • Before the 70's engines were rated in gross hp which would be on a engine stand without restricting components such as exhaust etc. So that car in net hp probably was more then 250 as i said but around 300. And as for the late 70's 400's they were all rated between 180-220hp because of emissions laws and the switch to unleaded gas. But they still made upwards of 400 ft lbs torque.

  • Well that 400 ft Lbs of torque pulled the wheels off the ground. You can see it in the video

  • U know what they say. Horsepower sells cars, Torque wins races.

  • Dude, you dont know what your talking about. The GTO's 68 and 69 were both UNDERRATED on horsepower, so if anything, they were making more than the advertised 366 horses! Learn then make educated comments!

  • Are you serious, who the hell educated you about cars?

  • Jim hand, one of the most notorious pontiac builders of all time. Wrote a book about building pontiac performance engines which has a history of pontiacs from 55-79 dusche!

  • So your an internet tough guy, ahhh one of the million, So explain to me how you get a 3,500 lb car down the drag strip in the 13's with 250hp? Now dont be stupid and say with 400ft lbs of torque. A Ford f350 has 650ftlbs of and run 16's.

  • It is a fact that they were rated without alternator, exhaust, engine bay heat, and restrictive exhaust. Look it up, they started rating the true horsepower with all components in 71. Also in the 60's they timed quarter miles with stop watches which is not an accurate timing method

  • thats fanny you go by hear say, Kid, sorry but you need a serious lesson in cars. Stop listiening to your friends that gather around dunkin doughnuts on saterdays and actually read a book, I also built a lemans with a 400cu SMALL BLOCK, pontiac didnt make big blocks. So your telling me that an alternator and fan belt used up 66hp. wow

  • Actually, written in a book by jim hand one of the most well known pontiac builders, it says and i quote "before 1971 hp ratings did not include effects of accessories such as altornator, power steering , fan, air cleaners, restrictive exhaust, or enviromental affects of radiator heat and enclosed engine compartments" Technically there is no pontiac small block either. There refered to as small and larger journal engines because of the exact same outer dimensions. Maybe u should read a book.

  • Poor Jim may need to learn a thing or two. As well as you. I know exactly what your talking about but its still wrong. Your a Fool for statiig 250hp then going back and still saying 300hp. Do you not remeber when they did mill specs a few years ago to try to figure out who made the most hp. Well even with all the "Accessories" These engine built in the 60's still made more than they were rated at. Your point is not valad because it holds no truth. Also they were SMALL BLOCKS, from 326-455, sorry

  • Your ignorance for pontiac history is a failure. it makes me sad.

  • My child what did u pick up your first pontiac book two weeks ago? Kid do yourself a favor when everyone around you is telling you your wrong then maybe you should look into why, hmmmmmmmmm its because you are. Your ingorance is shining like a the sun on a clear day. Go to a tigger club and go tell them that there GTO has 250hp and that they were overrated, then tell them ohh you were wrong that it was the method of measuring, then then talk all the bs your talking and they would have a ball w u

  • Show me one factory letter that claims that there car did a 13.1 durring testing, besides the 05 and the 06. Please ill wait, i want it cut and paisted from a reliable source not your hear say bs

  • Car and Driver magazine in 1964. Ferrari GTO vs Pontiac GTO. Gto claimed to run a 13.1.

  • Yes I know of the article do you know where they got that engine from? Royal Bobcat. Thats the engine i was telling you about. It was a 428sd built by royal bobcat. Was not a 389. That was a marketing scheme by John Deloriane

  • Well your half right. It was actually a 421 HO. Pontiac didnt make the 428 until 1967.

  • so with these stop watches they must be off by at least 2-4 seconds right, come on, they were within a tenth,

  • In 1964 they claimed that the 389 gto would do 13.1 in the 1/4. Obviously thats incorrect. Look at drag slips of the same car with modded 400's that dont even do 13.1. Im not saying that these cars are slow. Im just stating that there not as fast as they were sought out to be

  • Well if your refferring to car and driver magazine when Jim gave them a car built with a royal bobcat suited with a 428 in it, well yes it did do 13.1, once again way before your time, kid sorry but ive read just about every note there is in pontiac cars/engines for the GTO days. Your knocking on the wrong door.

  • Actually it was the book. "How to build max performance pontiac V8's". It has a history of pontiacs from 1955-1979. Im talking about the stock engine ratings and 1/4 miles. The 428 was built by jim hand so i would hope it could do a 13.1. this was 20 years before your time as well so dont give me this im too young bull shit.

  • The 428 that was in the 64 GTO? Ive had pontiacs my entire life, Starting with my grandfather untell me, pontiacs are all around me. Its not hard to figure out that the GTO didnt do 13.1 from the factory. They never claimed that.

  • Sever mind dont bother explaining yourself. I went to your page and your main video explains it all. Your a Honda Fan. There is no explaining power to you guys. You probably want to be like a muscle car and warped your brain and it made you think that muscle cars back in the 60's only had 250hp. If anything they were underated. The Hemi's made over 500hp, let me guess with your ricer math you can tell me they really made 275.

  • Your obviously an idiot. Maybe u didnt notice the 1966 Pontiac Lemans that im currently rebuilding. Being an owner of both an import and a muscle car i am not bias. Maybe u didnt read my other comments. F350's are geared for pulling not accelerating. Obviously u dont know the concept of gearing. I posted previously that 250 was an exaduation and more around 300 then the advertised 366.

  • i may have exadurated this number. More like 300ish

  • I hope he wasn't flooring it because it seemed a little slow

  • I am so jealous of you for being in a convertible one. never say it has too much power as it rly does not, it doesnt have enough :P

  • 68 gto is my favorite car ever! I really want to buy one when im old enough 7 have the money lol beautiful sound

  • what motor is it?is it stock?

  • I think a 400. Not sure.

  • Hippiegeo Just hold the camera between the window and the dash, push it in and hold it, you get a much better film. See my one vid with me filming in a 71 Monte Carlo.

    Nice Goat!

  • I did think of that, I was afraid of breaking the windshield. That car was way too powerful.

  • Just lean into it, dont let the camera smack the glass! Even then the glass is strong stuff! I looked into cam mounts but the cost is "stupid" and your better off getting that new "adventure" cam and use the suck cups to hold it on the window.

  • I have some great 100 Mph Go-kart footage coming soon.

  • That sounds down right scary!

  • is this 100 percent Stock ?

  • That looks like fun
