It is my understanding that less oil comes out of Iraq now than before the war from pipeline disruptions, creating a shortage on the world market increasing demand and cost per barrel short term increased profits for the ones that already control oil fields, long term controlling controlling most of the regions oil. a lot of faith in Ron Paul and i really do think he would never ever do something like that to us, but just look at how corrupt our government is, they know a lot of people are waking up and are sick and tired of this bullshit he would make a perfect tool. I really hope my suspitions are wrong, but crazier things have happened. I'm voting for him just in case, and if he does flip, that will be the very last straw for me and it will force me into action.

It is my understanding that less oil comes out of Iraq now than before the war from pipeline disruptions, creating a shortage on the world market increasing demand and cost per barrel short term increased profits for the ones that already control oil fields, long term controlling controlling most of the regions oil. So if this passage way (30%oil)gets block this would further this plan, This scarcity outlook is new to me ,but makes a whole lot of sense.

In A Foreign Policy of Freedom, Ron Paul clearly states that while the U.S. should not initiate an attack on any other country that it is the duty and responsibility of the President to defend this country. Under the conditions of a clear, verifiable and present danger he states that the President has the authority to defend this country and afterwards seek a Congressional Act of War. Instead of being weak on national defense, Dr. Paul is the strongest candidate running for President!

@republicae I have only heard Dr. Paul say that Only Congress can Declare WAR and if debated and that is done, Dr. Paul certainly will support it. He is the smartest candidate there is and it has taken 30 years for many people to finally pay attention. Even the media 'discarded him" totally, until he finally got some real support. Even then, the media concentrates on the WarMongers that are Hot to push that button for World War III. They all scared of their Jobs.

@SuperJourne Actually he states in his book that under rare circumstances that if there is a very clear, verified danger that it is the responsibility of the President to take defensive action and as soon as possible get a Declaration of War from Congress. Dr. Paul states that the President is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and as such he has the authority to defend this country when there really is a clear danger of attack.

@greendevil44 You are correct, Dr. Paul actually has the strongest defense policy of any of the candidates, instead of "defending others" he proposes that we defend ourselves, secure our borders and make sure that we are safe. He also correctly holds the position that the U.S. should never delegate its sovereignty to external supra-national agencies such as the U.N. or NATO. I happen to agree with that because only our leaders should lead our military, not some U.N. appointed general or agent.
