@BlizardMuffins The only reason they are saying it isn't good (and its tragic) is because Verizon is for lack of a better phrase, an android hore. Verizon only puts its greatest intent in selling you one of their droid phones or maybe even an iPhone but until Microsoft gives them a 4g LTE device in about a year (we have no idea when it is actually coming) Verizon will never promote windows phone.

@AppWindow I owned 2 iPhones, a 3GS and 4 and they work great but I needed something new, I got tired of seeing only apps. So I bought the Samsung Galaxy S2 out of disappointment of no iPhone 5 with a bigger screen. The hardware is great but my god was Android a pain in the but. As you said it is messy, doesn't run smooth, apps running in the backround all the time and killing my battery even if I don't use the phone. Now I have a Focus S and I won't go back to either : )

for speed, microsoft actually requires that manufacturers don't integrate external storage in their phones. to simplify, WP7 phones ONLY have internal storage. if you have ever experienced android, it runs slow because it has to retrieve information off of a memory card which isn't built into the phone. so it's not seamless, and is very fragmented. people call it a downside with the iPhone. jokes on them though, memory retrieval is way faster.

You can buy a 2150mh battery for $50 from Verizon(.)com the only thing that some people might not like is that the battery comes with a different back plate to cover the battery if you don't use it the battery won't fit

@spededpat You won't be changing the colors or the aesthetics of the device but you could substitute tiles. HTC's Youtube app doesn't have stock colors. The Weather app is a live tile and you could move it into position as you could other live tiles if you find those to be more appealing. The stock tiles, ie the dialer, are part of the phone and will retain its default appearance. Just move them "below the fold" and more colorful, live tiles above. Hope that helps.

@marinskii79 WP7 doesn't support flash. IMO, flash is a desktop engine and has not been made to run efficiently enough on a handset and still requires too much power and resources to render. My guess is WP7 will not support it for now. With most moving to HTML5, in a short time, you won't even miss it.

It would be nice if you open some of the native apps and show us Calendar, Contacts, etc. That was bad it cuts off YouTube and when you are landscape mode the home screen doesn't adjust? With this simple to learn UI and the peace of mind that I will get something in which microsoft monitors and enforces quality along with compatibility with the phone is pretty awesome. I'm quite sure most droid users have to do quite a bit of research in order to find an app that perfectly suits them and works well with the phone. Not to mention how WP makes completing task work across the board on multiple platforms forms of social media in one step instead of using multiple apps.

People need to go to windowsphone com and actually see how this UI works. It's simple and powerful. No one has to worry about trusting a particular publisher or having to search forever and a day for the perfect app or having to learn how to root a phone which is risky in itself. When microsoft does it all for you through their app store. This is going to be my first smart phone and to tell you the truth I considered a droid and was pretty nervous because I had not a clue as to how to work it.
