So they made an F1 wheel WITHOUT the RPM LED'S. So you still need to look at the screen to know when to change gears. (no sim sounds are not good enought for accurate shifting.)

Just got this from Amazon.fr. for PS3 this week :-)

It works really well and feels great with the strong force feedback and track feel provided by the T500rs.

Just remember you need a PC to download and install the firmware update #38 before you put on the F1 Ferrari steering wheel.

Hope someone will make a mod rev and gear change meter like the SLI-pro to add on the wheel in near future that works on PS3

Ferrari is total crap on the F1 2011 season.. Vettel and McLaren got first like 90% of the races.. or more.. Ferrari knows how to make the 900hp cars work the best.. but now it seems with the degredation of HP optimal utilization.. McLaren > Ferrari.. I think even Lamborghini > Ferrari, but I still like ferrari : )

@myke11101 Microsoft have licensing restrictions on what controllers can be used on the 360, so it can be costly to do that. Sony, AFAIK, don't have anything like that (and obviously the PC doesn't either).

@mazzatello2010 Slowpoke... I already do :P It's an awesome wheel if you love to race in open wheelers. Firm grip, shifters on the wheel (you can up and down shift with one side if you want), lots and lots of buttons. Enough even though the rotary switches in the middle don't work. It's plenty for most games out there.

I love it anyways. Now the only thing i'd love more is if my shifter would get here before release date. :P

@afoHusker if you would have spend less time cussing and more time reading the comments you would have read that the F1 wheel has its own set of paddle shifters which move with the rim. Therefore, you don't have to use the static ones. You're welcome :)

And actually this isn't a case of having "doors closed", Logitechs don't work on 360 because Logitech would have to do extra work in making it compatible for the 360 because it needs an extra chip of some sort.

If they do that, the price will go up and will pretty much be the same thing as a Fanatec.

Logitech don't want that because Fanatecs are better known in the 360 market so they'd lose money.

Also, Fanatecs >>>Logitech.

Logitech would have to up the price because they have to add the chip in order to make it compatible to the 360. So why buy a Logitech when you can buy a Fanatec for the same or around the same price if Fanatecs are of better quality?

@monkeyboy85 the F1 wheel has its own set of paddle shifters which move with the wheel. When mounted on a T500 RS base you have 2 sets (one static, one moving with the rim). In the short test round, the static paddles didn't get in the way when using the F1 rim.

In fact, the F1 rim itself (which requires you to have a T500 RS already) will be available first on September 23rd and then in mid October a full kit consisting of the rim, the base and the pedals will follow and it will be called the Integral T500.
