  • poor guy died. ;(

  • I like pretending that the woman singing at the end is an adult Bonnie. <3

  • this part always nearly makes me cry.

  • it's been wonderful to re-watch this... I can't help but reflect on how we had many of these FoF movies when I was a kid. I had so many religious influences and turned out an atheist. There was no pressure either way, but I DO believe in treating everyone how I would like to be treated... when I can manage

  • I cried!!

  • ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ One of my favorite movies ever made :)

  • I'm crying my eyes out. I missed this film so much!

  • "He died this morning" seems as though she's misleading her to believe he died from injuries resulting from saving Georgia, funny she didn't mention the unwarranted beating that came at the hands of the town people he donated so much money too assist >:|

  • i absolutly love this movie used to own it when i was a child have been searching for it for a long time definatly dont make movies like this anymore :(

  • I love that she was told NOT come back and she dose.

  • This movie was amazing!! I fell for the beast. He was a wonderful guy. :) I wish he could teach me to sing.

  • WOW i cry like a baby throw out the hole movie

  • Thank you SO much for uploading this. I missed this movie.

  • I LOVED this movie when I was little. I recently found the soundtrack in an old stack of cds, which made me want to watch this again.

Definitely feeding my nostalgia addiction :)

  • 3:53 i would so poke 'em

  • i remember watching this movie all the time when i was little...they dont make movies like this anymore!!

  • @dapletd Yeah. I pretty much wanted to cry from the scene they beat him up to the end. </3

  • Um how dose she not see it's him?

  • I know that I've already posted and don't get me wrong, I absoutly love this movie but doesn't anyone notice that its the same fricken guy!!???

  • I actually hate Bonnie's reaction at the funeral! If it was me I would have gotten a gun and killed everyone in the town who had a hand in either beating him, ruining his house or not even taking him to the fricken hospital!!!!!!!! Maybe he wouldn't have died if they would have token him to the hospital instead of leaving him on the table!!!!!!!!! IDIOTS!!!!!!!!

  • @ArthurAlfred1

Movies like these are meant to teach kids something. Clearly most of us saw this as kids. I have the DVD and it has questions for kids on the back case. So lay off Bonnie please.

  • he's not supposed to die! hes supposed to get together with the princess and teach all the kids to sing!! And they all live happily ever after!

  • **Funeral scene**

Me: Not gonna cry...not gonna cry...**tears fall**...fail! **crying** WAAAA!!!!

  • I would've loved to have Mr. Ribaldi as my singing coach, he's such a talented person and I was moved by his song. If I was Bonnie, I would've cried a lot at his funeral but I could tell she was upset, I would've been

  • I cried watching this movie, you fall in love with Mr. Ribaldi and seeing how beautiful and kind he is breaks my heart. Because so many people thought he was a monster when he was an amazing man. I love this movie so much, it was a masterpiece!

  • I didn't see or hear of this story or know of this movie until a couple of years ago. Since then I have watched it at least 7 or 8 times. I absolutely love it!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!

  • Serious tear-jerker! I remember when this came out...I was 8 years old and I loved it then, too. I haven't seen it for years and this brings back so many memories. :)

  • @sitonthecouch

For a while I thought it was called "Bonnie and the Beast", cause my teacher in elementary school never said what it was really called and i caught the beauty and the beast reference. Still LOVED IT! But in 8th grade I found that my friend owned it and I was highly mistaken. Recently I found it at good will and own it. And Just today I found the soundtrack. It's a great edition to my collection of childhood memories.

  • @Augiegrl12 please tell me where i can find the soundtrack...i'm trying to find it for my dad and i...we are big fans of the music and would like to know. please email me at bjebv87@yahoo.com. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

  • @BARBIEJ87

Strangely enough, I found it at Goodwill. But I'll see if I can email you it in MP3s. I've always wanted to try that. I'll do it as soon as I can. I have a busy day today and I'm currently not at my computer w/ it on.

  • @BARBIEJ87

I sent you the 17 tracks just a few minutes ago in 2 different emails. it's wgypsyw2@cfu.net

  • I'm a little annoyed that Porter seemed to get the special good-bye, while Bonnie didn't get so much as a "thank-you" at the end. She's the one who helped Ribaldi! What gives?

  • @elizabetheowynbelle everyone had a "gift" from him but Porter. Bonny was taught to sing. Gorgey was given the doll and April Child but he did have anything.

  • @faithgirl777 Didn't he get the ability to speak without an impediment? That's a gift, isn't it?

  • @phyragain he was learning but he still had a stutter. so not a "full" gift.

  • @faithgirl777 he was given the mirror to keep to always help Porter.

  • @DarkElf116352 but her never took it with him until the ending when it was given to him a 2nd time.

  • Mr. Ribaldi/Rigoletto/Joseph Paur is so gorgeous. He was even gorgeous to me when his face was disfigured. I definitely fell in love with him. I was in love with him when I was a little girl, and I couldn't understand why they kept calling him ugly, he was clearly beautiful. <3

  • @LovelyDay4Rain

same here. I always fall for the so called "ugly" in these types of stories.

  • @Augiegrl12 ^_^ I do too. I fall for villains as well.... I am what my family calls "the Odd One."

  • @LovelyDay4Rain me too. <3 I cried so hard when he died..

  • @LovelyDay4Rain SECONDED! I was always completely in love with him.

  • oh my gosh i staied strong threw the whole movie then i heard the credits and i cried like a little baby because it's so beautiful i didn't want it to end.

  • Ribaldi is fucking epic.

  • i love this movie! its got such a beautiful story and such a wonderful meaning. i cried during the part where they beat Ribaldi and while they read from the book. i LOVE this move!

  • "I found something that might belong to you." "B-But..." "Porter." XD Did anyone notice that no one said Porter's name while in the house? That should've made them realize it was Ribaldi. lol I love this movie so much.

  • Rigoletto has VERY nice hair!

    WAHOO!

  • I'm a little torn between Ribaldi and Porter. Porter's just so squeezable and ribaldi's kind of...delicious.

  • @iluvrimmel Truth, Porter;s character is adorable. I definitely crushed on him as a young teen. I have always been a sucker for a music man, though, so Ribaldi's character has my heart.

  • @4AutismAwareness

I have to agree with you (: Porter's way to young for me in the movie (I'm 16) but in real life he's probably like 30 now. And Ribaldi turns out to be such a sweetie ((:

  • He couldnt tell anyone because he's dead remember???? But they knew ;)

  • i like it to.

    such a great movie.

I also fell in love with him.

    ;)

i also think that the kids recgonized him but wern't sure because he looked diffrent, acted difrent twords Hans (was that Hans?), and was kissing Gabrelle when they know she loves Ribaldi even though he yelled at her a lot.

dude, he can teach me to sing anytime.

    ;)

  • This is something I identify with because I am not pretty on the outside but people tell me that I have a good heart. It still makes me cry, no matter how much I watch it...and yes, it is a shame how they beat him and I noticed that they were superstitious and ignorant, but it had a great message of that we should not judge a book by its cover and look inside people and see the goodness in their hearts.

  • thank you so much for uploading this video. i wish they'd put it on dvd. beautiful movie

  • All the people who beat him probably would be arrested or something for assault at the very least. Funny how that gets overlooked.

  • He didn't really died. Once curse was broken and look normal agian. he made town people really think he died so that he has accomplish his work of removing his curse that was put on him :) the curse was broken by Bonnie who knows she is the one that will stay with him

  • i cried when i thought he was dead and then when i saw him my face lit up like a lightbaulb lol

  • Mr. Ribaldi has VERY NICE hair!

    WA-HOOO!! ;)

  • Wow... this is my first time watching this in many years. I just about lost it at the end. I'm a 20 year old guy and I'm about to cry my eyes out. :')

  • Is Ivey Lloyd related to Christopher Lloyd?

  • This movie kept me centered and sane as a child. It still does. 17 years later.

  • ok

how come bonnie is the only person who can tell the resemblens( cant spell if wrong) of the man and mr. Ribaldi some people are just plain old blind

  • @janineandautumn

I think because she could see his outside beauty even when he was 'ugly'. Whereas people could only see his ugly and couldn't recognize him when he was 'beautiful'.

  • @scootigger good point... i feel pretty stupid for not realizing that

  • @janineandautumn

naw... that's just how I see it. I mean, why else wouldn't they recognize the man who changed their lives?

  • the other times i was only crying on the inside but now i am cryinbg on both inside and out so to prove it this is my proof

    WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Ya know, for something that was a low-budget family film, this is pretty well-made and effective...

  • this was one of my favorites when i was younger and still is..beautiful movie!

  • lovely movie :) thanks for sharing.

  • This is one of my favorite movies of all time...I used to watch this alot and it always made me happy....still does.

  • i think they knew who he was.... they just didnt show it much. but they knew.. and it was beautiful how they showed it in a subtle way.

  • no other movie has made me cry this much other than phantom of the opera and titanic....this movie is just so breathtaking!

  • I don't care for the way the mother tells bonnie he died. Very rough. My opinion. :(

  • dont you miss the good old days when people could say when asked where they are from "somewhere far far away", or "a land far off" now its like, oh i from china. lol

  • Pwn

  • They knew it was him i mean who else do you know in that town that talks with that accent and knew that mirror belonged to that kid. *raises hand* i total fell for him

  • Omg, I never thought this many people would know about this movie, I was very young when this movie came out, and its a childhoood favorite. It has a very strong moral value for everyone,,, and I really thought that Bonnie, Georgie, and Porter would know that it was him! Omg! Lol But thumbs up to whomever posted this movie!!!

  • Omg... I loves this ending :) I can't believe Bonnie, Porter, and Georgie didn't recognize him though... especially when he said Porters name when Porter started to stutter a little

  • This movie always reminds me to stray away from the darkness and head to the light. By the way Bonnie aka Ivey Lloyd also appears in the movie Wish Upon a Star.

  • u would think the kids would reconize him! lol

  • Hands up if you fell in love with Mr. Ribaldi..... *raises hand*

  • @4AutismAwareness

    Raisin ma hand too

  • @Lostangel703 He's just such an endearing character. The part of Mr. Ribaldi is so well written, and Mr. Paur played him so, so well. Better than anybody else ever could have.

  • Ya know, I really do think the kids recognized him. duh :P

  • @4AutismAwareness

    Abso-fuckin-lutely!!

  • man those kids are sooo naive half of his face was normal lol would it help to cover up the other half THEN would they recognise him! HUH HUH lmao

  • thank you for putting this up!

  • i had to tell myself it was only a movie to keep myself from throwing tha laptop across the room and screaming "you dirty murders!"

  • a magical ending for a magical movie, thanks for upploading :)

  • Wonderful movie!!! Thank you so much for posting!

  • I'm not crying, I'm not crying, ok so I'm crying.

  • you freaking rock for putting this movie out there!

  • it was really sad to see something like that would happen to someone all just over a miss understanding and im crying like the dickens....but on a side note i think that the door to the cemetary was really unique

  • Thank you so much for uploading this. I watched this SO many times as a kid. I have searched for years, and that is not an exaggeration, for the name of this movie. When I finally found it [today on yahoo answers, of all places] I looked it up here to see if I could possibly watch it again. It had been so long since I had seen it; it was like seeing it for the first time. Thank you.

  • I watched this movie a dozen times when I was a kid. Just recently I wondered if it was as good as I remembered.

    It is.

  • Gosh, I cried Rivers!!!! UGH! Such a bloody great movie!

  • OMG!!! Im goin to cry!! All the people that beat him r JERKS!!! WAAAAAAA!!!!!
