Your pronunciation throughout the enire piece was lacking. The sound placement was way too far forward; you shouldn't sing frontal on this piece...ever. Intonation was pretty bad throughout. I thought you were going to pass out because you breathed so much. A faster tempo would have fixed that. No French 'e's. The word 'tua' was completely incorrect. I would have given this performance a 3.
@THSChoir lol. so your comment irked me a little so i checked out who you are....
i sang this more than three years ago. yes, it's not a great performance and i am humble enough to know that. but in my defense, i don't have much professional vocal training. and i don't speak italian. and yes, singing in front of an audience can be intimidating, especially if you KNOW you have your work cut out for you. so... you're 19? i think it would do your head good to shrink a few sizes. just saying =)
i noticed you had a little trouble breathing on the voglio amars i do to i actually haven't participated in Allstate yet but i am this coming up year and this what im singing so im having to work on my breath support and dynamics so thanks for letting me see your and i will use your strengths and weaknesses to help me thanks! :)
Lighten up on your high notes, and DON'T SPREAD YOUR LIPS!!! You will sound like a little girl instead of a beautiful woman if you do. ;)
Don't move when you're performing. Your arms have been bolted to your sides and there is a bar keeping your feet shoulder width apart, one slightly in front of the other.
But you sounded lovely otherwise :) Just listening I probably would have given you a 1, but your movements and lack of dynamic contrast would have made it a 2.
You're definitely on the right track, but the only thing I really noticed was your vowels were very spread and it made you sound much younger than you are, so just open your mouth and make everything sound like you're British. And the other thing was just to stop fidgeting. Just keep your hands at your sides, stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart, and just stand there. You waste a lot of energy moving, doncha know. But otherwise, pretty good!

lighten up on the high notes, it sounds really heavy where you oughta be floating in the stratosphere.
this was posted almost a year ago and im sure you have progressed since this video, i hope you are keeping up the good work.
