@ash81b4u I've realised that it's going to take me long enough to get to a point where I can beat the game let alone perfect it. It's as much about the high scores so you've always got the replayability in a shmup.

Some of the Ikaruga vids on Youtube are insane, I've got a way to go yet.

@xTHExSTIGx Not a problem. I didn't actually have to think too long about this one, I usually have to write notes so that I can remember what I want to say. Helps if you're into RPGs rather than shorter arcade games though.

@TGApuleius The glasses are the future! I'm considering trading up and moving into the next generation with the tinted versions that you see around. The dual colour effect is easily replicated if I get nostalgic

gd choices, yea FFVII really was epic i had to go back and do the chocobo racing and breeding to get the knights of the nine to beat sephiroth

@bedtime143 Thanks dude. Any of the Chocobo tasks in FF games drive me insane. Chocobo hide and seek in FFIX was the worst, it's a proper war of attrition and persistence. Part of the game though.

I like that there are multiple strategies to defeating Ruby and Emerald Weapon in FFVII, I find them tougher than FFIX Ozma.

@StrollingRocket No worries dude. The early CM games were about as good as it got at the time, I think the team making them moved over to the FM games tho didn't they? I've still got CM 02/03 on the Xbox and that's shocking, the roster of players is a fraction of the size it should be and it's way too shallow. Console Manager games just don't quite cut it.

@LeBossu77 Yeah I think there was a conflict or something in the company, and Sports Interactive moved over to Sega and ditched the other lot, but they kept making, and neither have quite made the cut yet.

@Snestastic No probs Squire, it's something to get your teeth into. It's actually easier than it might seem though it helps if you're into long and epic games like RPGs or sandbox games. I just thought that I could use it as an excuse to get good at something that I liked but was rubbish at like Ikaruga. Good job it's purely hypothetical.

@stevewins914 Cheers Mate. Yeah, Suikoden 2 has got the big cult following. I think it only got average reviews when it was first released but I think the people who actually played it really got what it was about. Definitely one of my favourites.

Yeah, I know Manager games are definitely an acquired taste. I know people who aren't gamers who play them. If I ever get into one though I don't do much else, eat, sleep etc

@InfernoV2 I'm worse! But you could not only beat it but then perfect it if it was one of the only games you played. I've heard people who've posted Ikaruga vids on YT mention about 200hrs of gametime to get really good. Don't quote me on that though.
