Takes me back to the 60s!

  • I can imagine a live-action movie,with Sin City/The Spirit-type visuals.

  • View!>>>youtube>>gage dj egy<<<<:)thx

  • That organ/claviachord sound in the theme tune is brilliant!

  • it is somehing that Bob Kane used a few batman foes in the McCool show Jack in the box - Joker Owl - Penguin MadCap- MadHatter

  • Made in the days before educators got the delusion that they could be kids' show writers.

  • This is the only real confirmation of my childhood!... wow .... I knew these things were real cartoonsI was 6,7 & years old back then.. thanks you-tube. These cartoon's didn't teach blacks to hate anyone... this was our escape into imaginations... of our hearts...I feel sorry for narrow, weak politically correct ppl....

  • A machine gun and cigar smoke in a kids cartoon!

  • @yesimnative77 This was the sixties. Any saturday matinee would feature racial slurs. Native Americans in their indigenous homeland being cut down with firearms and told they were "savages". Abject genocide presented by networks and viewed by pre-school children as commonplace family entertainment.

  • This cool cause I am a McCool

  • Cool McCool is one of my all time very favorite cartoons !! There is something very COOL about it.. *sigh.. they dont make cartoons like this anymore !! :)

  • Jack Benny was an odd entertainer to base a crimefighter on. But it works!

  • ^die serie verschlungen:-D

  • @foxmarkowski LOOOOOOOL HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Massively underrated.

  • As Cool said, 'Danger is my business!'

  • i have the dvd box set

  • One of The Best!

  • Mr.Bob Kane's first venture into animated tv cartoons was

    "Courageous Cat & Minute Mouse"in 1960.

  • Danger is his buisness!

  • Oh god was this cool. Me and my sister used to watch an old VHS collection of Archie toons that had this on it. It's amazing how much they managed to fit on the tape, we literally got to 'meet' every single villain mention in the intro on top of a bunch of other toons.

.....and that song is awesome! lol

  • COol reminds me of a Beatle. Then again KFS produced this and the Beatles cartoon.

  • That's right, mainly Paul!! And he's got something of Peter Sellers, too.

  • I finally figured out who Cool McCool reminds me of: Robert Goulet. Am I the only one who sees a resemblance? Of course, when it comes to cool, Goulet was considered one of the coolest in his day.

  • Cool McGoul?

  • I hadn't thought of it that way. Good one!! :-D

    LOL!

  • wat is this evenb about

  • The COOLEST cartoon theme there ever was. Cool McCool IS the coolest.

  • im not mac cool is shit for me

  • 'It'll never happen again No 1..."

omg...have not seen this since about '72, I'm 44 now.

what about the car getting out of the traffic jam? Way to go!

  • I'm 17 years now and I used to watch this back in the early 90's :P

And now after more than 14 years I discovered this awsome piece of my childhood and it's just wonderful!

  • This man got that super swagger! LOL

  • mccool looks like a suave frenchman until you hear him open his mouth...lol...loved watching this back in the early 80's on wpwr channel 60(chicago/aurora)

  • Danger is his business! :D

  • Hey COOL MC COOL my hero!!!!!!

  • Too bad Bob Kane never created a cartoon version of his most famous character.

  • Oh, and something of Peter Sellers, too.

  • He reminds me Paul of Beatles Cartoon Show, also produced by Al Brodax.

  • COOL MC COOOOL!!!!! with his pop the cop ; D gotta love it!!! Danger is his business B D ive still got one of the videos haha love it

  • I was too young to realize this was a james bond who talked like (vaudeville, radio, tv and film comedian) Jack Benny. Weird. I just liked that he whistled for his car.

  • damn i'm getting old

  • I grew up on this show when I lived in Canada!

  • bin auch n 80er jahrgang und muß dir recht geben war einer der besten cartoons damals

  • LOL blast from the past! i wos born in 1980, that was on of my favorite cartoons back then! Cant believe it was created in 1966! Danger is my business! LOL...

    Kindheitserinnerung vom allerfeinsten!

  • KINDHEITSERINNERUNG DELUXE

  • omg, that's cool xD cool mccool!

  • When Cool McCool talks, he sounds just like Jack Benny.

  • Blast from the past. O, double O, C double O, C double O L, C double O L Mc, Cool McCool!

  • the best cartoon ever

  • There would be a McCool cartoon and then one of McCool's father "My Pop The Cop" followed by another McCool cartoon. Best 30 minutes of TV.

  • danger is my buissnes!

the best char next to mc cool himself is jack in the box!

gosh I used to see this every day as little kid. what shame the crap from nowadays..

  • "Madcap's back in town, YEAH bought Cool a crown"...

    The all time best cartoon

  • oooh great days!

  • "OH YEAH!" One of the damn mega-coolest cartoon theme songs in the world! I just love it! Cool is a bumble stumbler but we all love him anyway. I always loved it at the end of the episode when Number #1 would get mad at him and push the "button'" and would send Cool on his little insane trip out the window or whatever..... or put him into a cannon and shoot him out or whatever....LOL!!

    Great Vintage Classic stuff!

  • Spelling out "Cool McCool" in the opening titles is unique. They simply don't make openings like this anymore. I mean, seriously, when was the last time you heard a HARPSICHORD in a opening theme? The Addams Family? (Which, I believe, was BEFORE Cool.)

  • Oh yeah, it has the most rockin' harpsichord riff! Any song with harpsichord in it rocks.

  • Probably in my top 10 favorite cartoon themes of all time!

I used to like the "My pop the cop" song too.

  • wow...is this an oldie but goodie!!

  • "Cool McCool" might be the first cartoon I remember seeing as a child. I can't believe I still remembered all the lyrics after all these decades!

  • YEP! damn fun show! I was able to find 2 VHS tapes of this show on E-bay. Glad to see others enjoying them...

    Cool is KOOL!

  • I love this music !!!

  • Cool Mc Cool ist ne Legende einfach der Beste

  • In Finland this finnish name is Vili McViileri

I have one video this show and I watched this when I was young.

    Very good cartoon.

  • Note to Anthem176:

    Y'know, y'got somethin' there...

Most likely McCool *was* modelled after Goulet...y'know satire, parody, and all..

This was a *dynamite* show..and one of the *few* really worthwhile programmes offered by King Features at the time.

    Thanx, m8.

  • lol, i watched this when i was young XD

  • I used to watch this when I was little!!!!

    7 years old (im 24)

  • created by Bob Kane? he also created Batman... huh now that i think about there are some similarities between the some of the villains:

    Owl= Penguin

    mad cap= Mad Hatter

    Boxes= The Joker

  • Cool McCool was really a combination of Batman and Get Smart.

    Ex:That will never happen again,#1=Sorry about that,Chief.

  • I grew up on this cartoon and always thought that Cool McCool was modelled after Bob Goulet. He kinda looked like him at the time.

  • Am 15 and i love this

  • this is pretty cool.

  • had this on video lol great tymes

  • I remember seeing this classic cartoon on Chicago TV sometime in the 1980's I wish they release them on DVD.

  • it was release long time ago, check it out on amazon

  • This is my all time favourite Cartoon... Why they don't show it again is beyond me...I can still sing the theme song...lol I am 35....

  • aah..Saturday mornings in the sixties..the coolest

  • ich bin uncool also ein loser ich kann degegen nichts machen ich bin als loser auf die welt gekommen wir haben das loser gen in unsere familie

  • I didn't the creator of Batman made this show? However did he manage to pull that off?

  • God I remember wanting to be this guy when I was little.

  • cool was my hero in 1967

  • good old days

  • I knew YouTube would have this...think of some obscure thing from growing up...and you know YT has it...luv it!...wasn't Bob Crane his voice?

  • Bob Crane was the star of Hogan's Heroes, Bob Kane was the creator of Cool McCool, and Bob McFadden was the voice of Cool McCool. Of these three Bobs the first appears to have had no connection with the show.

  • @ZardozSpeaks

It's probably already been mentioned, but Bob Kane the creator of Cool McCool was also the creator of Batman (with Bill Finger).

  • @ZardozSpeaks Bob McFadden also provided the voice of Milton The Monster.

  • @ZardozSpeaks

And Bob Kane, with Bill Finger, was the creator of Batman.

  • Yeah, cool! That was one of my fav. cartoons at the beginning of the 90s! :)

  • Danger is his business!

  • awesome...he´s so cool ;-)

  • cool

  • Did u noticed it's created by Bob Kane?

  • does anyone know who sang the theme song?

  • An intriguing question. I've had a bit of a look around the internet but I haven't yet found the answer.

  • The music is by Ron Goodwin and Bernard Green but I don't know who of them was the singer.

  • If Jack Benny had been James Bond

  • Danger is my business - Yo amo el peligro

  • This show is a classic!! The theme song is even catchy. How can you not like it? They don't make them like this anymore. Sad too!!

  • An almost-forgotten classic! I never thought I'd see this again! Another gem from Bob Kane.

  • ich habs jahrelang gesucht, niemand wollte mir glauben, dass es das gibt...

  • When this came out I was four. Man! It seems like another world really. Great toon!

  • Apparently, the only hero who has his entire rogues' gallery mentioned in his theme song!

  • Now, that is an interesting observation!

  • Aww! I grew up watchin a reeli old video of this tht my Gran got me at a car boot sale lol! :D

    Just because I'm Pete McCool!

    I'm the real Cool McCool!

    :D

  • mega serie, einfach mega

  • Oh my god! I used to watch this show in Hong Kong in the 80's.

  • Cool Mc Cool kam in Deutschland immer auf den Sender Tm3.Die Serie war wirklich interessant.Aber man hat nie den Boss zu Gesicht bekommen, sondern bloß den Arm!

  • "COOL McCOOL" was first seen on NBC's Saturday morning schedule [12:30-1pm(et)] during the 1966-'67 season, and reruns contimued for another year before it was cancelled in 1968...
