Well, in melodic sense, melo-death is obviously better. Death metal surpasses it in everything brutal, so, thats why I said its what bands you compare because a lot of Death metal bands are extremely talented in what they do.
well yes there are some Death Metal bands that I hate and I prefer some Melodeath bands over Death Metal bands that I like e.g Carcass(Heartwork, Swansong era) I prefer them overSix Feet Under but I still like Six Feet Under.

I mean, it all depends on your style and what you're into. Personally, I prefer melo-death more than death metal simply because of the fact that it actually has melody. A lot of death metal bands are good. I can go on forever about bands. Remember though, melo-death along with brutal death metal, etc. are subgenres that go along with death metal. And I dont really like Six Feet Under for some reason. Just not my taste. And yeah, Carcass is extreme metal.
I hate Brutal Death Metal, and yeah Six Feet Under aren't brilliant but they're good, a good example of a great Melodeath band is Quo Vadis they're extremely talented. All I can say is each to their own, I can see why you prefer Melodeath because more emotion has gone into it but thats not always the case because Death are very emotive
Not all of bdm is bad. Just look at Disgorge, Guttural Secrete, and Katalepsy. Great bdm bands. No emotion, but they're still brutal. And yeah, melo-death obviously has more emotion than death metal. Or atleast modern death metal. I mean, you cant compare, lets say, Disarmonia Mundi to Cephalotripsy. 2 completely different genres. However, you can compare in somewhat of a way old school death metal bands to melo-death like Morbid Angel and Death. You can relate in a way.

Well, in melodic sense, melo-death is obviously better. Death metal surpasses it in everything brutal, so, thats why I said its what bands you compare because a lot of Death metal bands are extremely talented in what they do.

well yes there are some Death Metal bands that I hate and I prefer some Melodeath bands over Death Metal bands that I like e.g Carcass(Heartwork, Swansong era) I prefer them overSix Feet Under but I still like Six Feet Under.
but I feel that writing a Death Metal song and a Melodeath song take different skills I personally prefer Death Metal but I still like Melodeath a lot, hell its the reason I listen to Extreme Metal

I mean, it all depends on your style and what you're into. Personally, I prefer melo-death more than death metal simply because of the fact that it actually has melody. A lot of death metal bands are good. I can go on forever about bands. Remember though, melo-death along with brutal death metal, etc. are subgenres that go along with death metal. And I dont really like Six Feet Under for some reason. Just not my taste. And yeah, Carcass is extreme metal.

I hate Brutal Death Metal, and yeah Six Feet Under aren't brilliant but they're good, a good example of a great Melodeath band is Quo Vadis they're extremely talented. All I can say is each to their own, I can see why you prefer Melodeath because more emotion has gone into it but thats not always the case because Death are very emotive

Not all of bdm is bad. Just look at Disgorge, Guttural Secrete, and Katalepsy. Great bdm bands. No emotion, but they're still brutal. And yeah, melo-death obviously has more emotion than death metal. Or atleast modern death metal. I mean, you cant compare, lets say, Disarmonia Mundi to Cephalotripsy. 2 completely different genres. However, you can compare in somewhat of a way old school death metal bands to melo-death like Morbid Angel and Death. You can relate in a way.

lol the reason you couldn't find my comment is because I actualy thought it through. I took it off around 2 mins after because your right Death metal is more technical. Melo is just extrememly smooth and good sounding to me. That seems to make it more technical sounding to me.

True!! but I prefer Death Metal myself, Melodeath usually follows the standard intro verse chorus verse format whereas Death Metal rarely follows a format.

America has good death metal, i will say that. But metal as a genre originated form Europe, and IMO they have much better metal bands, including much more styles. Here you've only got death, deathcore, metalcore etc. Europe has death, melodeath, black, blackened death, power, and the list goes on.

I'm a person who prefers melodic death metal over ANYTHING. I do not listen to anything with -core, and am a OLD OLD In Flames jesterhead.
There are some people out there that fit your description, don't worry.

im sure your just biased against core bands. i bet if any band known as a "core band" as you say called themselves death metal that you would listen to them, simply cause they arent core. its not about the genre. sucide silence sounds plenty death metal to me, i dont get why people hate them when its deathcore instead. and tons of people hate JFAC when SS sounds so much alike to them its rediculous. really. get over your subgenre-phobia. your not cool cause u listen to strictly death metal.
