you're pretty good, you're on the beat....the only fault I see is that you're playing using your whole arm, you should be playing from the wrists...you'll last a lot longer that way, plus you'll use less muscle, the swinging motion from your wrists will throw the sticks down just as hard ;)

I learned my first 3 covers from Hal Leonard Drum-A-Long books. They have a lot of great songs to get you started. Then it's time to try learning some songs by ear. I suggest if you want to learn 'That Thing You Do' that you watch my video several times and keep practicing by ear.

I love it. That was really great. My band plays this song in the clubs, and soon as I start the beat, people run to the dance floor. I sing this one too by the way. It's a great uplifting song. I think every drummer should see this movie. The Actor that played the drummer (Guy Patterson) in the movie had to learn to play the drums for the movie. Keep up the good work.
