Wow, Good man Floss, This must have been really fulfilling to do, I've always had a major love of musicals and music in general so I know if I had been one of those Kids I'd have been in the right hands to learn more about a skill and field I geniunely cared about. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean you should go bashing them. Second, who cares if the films that young people create aren't the best thing to hit the Earth? Creating a movie or musical takes time and practice to master. It's called a learning curve and something this creatively and mentally demanding is bound to have a big one. When better to start learning then when you are young? What Brent is doing is giving kids a chance to experience the process.

Wow man, sounds (and looks) like you had a fantastic summer. I remember I had a similar experience when my band did a musical with 2 professional comedians / writers. They told us to just throw out any random idea we got in our heads, we developed that scene and made it fit in with the rest. Got a lot of laughs from the crowd and had a blast.
Great seeing you working with kids on stuff similar to that (but, on a much larger scale...mine was just in my hometown -still a blast).

Just because you don't like them doesn't mean you should go bashing them. Second, who cares if the films that young people create aren't the best thing to hit the Earth? Creating a movie or musical takes time and practice to master. It's called a learning curve and something this creatively and mentally demanding is bound to have a big one. When better to start learning then when you are young? What Brent is doing is giving kids a chance to experience the process.

Wow man, sounds (and looks) like you had a fantastic summer. I remember I had a similar experience when my band did a musical with 2 professional comedians / writers. They told us to just throw out any random idea we got in our heads, we developed that scene and made it fit in with the rest. Got a lot of laughs from the crowd and had a blast.
Great seeing you working with kids on stuff similar to that (but, on a much larger scale...mine was just in my hometown -still a blast).

And 99% of musicals are dumb? I really don't care for musicals myself but at least I can see how wrong of a statement that is.
