Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Surreal. How I long for the days when you could look like him and still be a pop star. Been humming this tune for decades and it's even better than I remember it. Thanks!
What's funny is that TODAY a song like this is almost totally forgotten by the mainstream, but as far as what was playing on top 40 radio in the states back in the 70's... this is close to the epitome of what was cranking out of radios for a couple of years there.
As a Brit firmly ensconced in the US for over 20 years, I was only familiar with the New Seekers' cover of this Peter McCann penned song, a flop single for the group which appeared on their 1978 album "Anthem". I managed to find the McCann original on CD a long time ago, but have never actually seen him AT ALL until now. Thank you for satisfying 32 years of curiosity! A great song and a great upload.
Great oldie from the long-gone days of '70s AM Radio. Back then, a guy like this, who looked more like he should have been selling life insurance, could still get become a successful performer. Unfortunately now, it's more about cheekbones than about being able to sing and play and write. Someone like this (or Meatloaf or Mama Cass) couldn't even a record deal.
I can't imagine anyone going to bed with a guy dressed like that unless it was seriously love. There's nothing like geography teacher trousers to separate the one night standers from that special someone.
Yes.. lots of memories . someone throgh a casette of this song through near my window 25 years ago.. till today i never knew who it was.... i used to fool a round a lot.. bittersweet.
This is what youtube was made for, long live the good old music!

This kind of ONE HIT WONDER wouldn't make the charts these days; I'm suprised that it made it to #5 in 1977. It's just mediocre to me, that's all.

Who knew Stan Lee had a hit single in the 1970s???

More astounding than the appearance of McCann is the appearance, and behavior, of the Stepford-like audience members.
Good song, good singer.
