  • This is what youtube was made for, long live the good old music!

  • Catchy tune from the era of songs like Undercover Angel, Afternoon Delight, and Escape.

  • I neither want to make love nor just fool around with this gentleman.

  • I didn't know serial killers could sing.

  • He was a serial killer who strangled prostitutes in the backseat of his mother's station wagon.

  • 2 people will never make love but play with themselves instead.

  • This kind of ONE HIT WONDER wouldn't make the charts these days; I'm suprised that it made it to #5 in 1977. It's just mediocre to me, that's all.

  • Who knew Stan Lee had a hit single in the 1970s???

  • This guy is born in 1950. That means he is in his twenties in this video!!! Looking so old is already a great performance

  • Does anyone else think it kinda looks like it says "Bin Laden" above the tvs in the background?

  • @Meursault82 funny

  • @Meursault82 Yes, indeed!

  • He looks like my garbage man. Fuck.

  • @TheChuck624 that was too funny

  • Love this song!!!!

  • wow what a song to bring back the 70's summers

  • I didnt know John Holmes could sing

  • @110665 He didn't have to!

  • wow! Great job finding this gem! after all these yrs it still gets me !!

  • More astounding than the appearance of McCann is the appearance, and behavior, of the Stepford-like audience members.

    Good song, good singer.

  • Surreal. How I long for the days when you could look like him and still be a pop star. Been humming this tune for decades and it's even better than I remember it. Thanks!

  • Coded message.

  • Great find. I have not heard this song for 30 years.

  • What's funny is that TODAY a song like this is almost totally forgotten by the mainstream, but as far as what was playing on top 40 radio in the states back in the 70's... this is close to the epitome of what was cranking out of radios for a couple of years there.

  • As a Brit firmly ensconced in the US for over 20 years, I was only familiar with the New Seekers' cover of this Peter McCann penned song, a flop single for the group which appeared on their 1978 album "Anthem". I managed to find the McCann original on CD a long time ago, but have never actually seen him AT ALL until now. Thank you for satisfying 32 years of curiosity! A great song and a great upload.

  • @colinwjw Indeed. It is stuff like this that makes me love youtube.

  • amazing lyrics!!!!!Eveyone should be this blunt and honest with not only themselves but to all others aswell

  • This song creeps me out...

  • what a gem thanks

  • WHAT MEMORIES ! !

  • The man 1970s porn stars tried to look like.

  • 1977...was there ever a better year for shirts or music.

  • @RandyCasey ........I read all kinds of drivel in the You Tube comments sections, but THAT was funny!

  • Great oldie from the long-gone days of '70s AM Radio. Back then, a guy like this, who looked more like he should have been selling life insurance, could still get become a successful performer. Unfortunately now, it's more about cheekbones than about being able to sing and play and write. Someone like this (or Meatloaf or Mama Cass) couldn't even a record deal.

  • I can't imagine anyone going to bed with a guy dressed like that unless it was seriously love. There's nothing like geography teacher trousers to separate the one night standers from that special someone.

  • he looks so embarrassed but what a great song and such a great voice

  • the first time i heard this song, i was driving to my girlfriends house. I have loved it ever since.

  • I love your stache

  • This is a wonderful love song from the 70's -- hadn't heard it in years!! Thanks so much for the post!

  • 70s on 7 satallite radio has this on thier jukebox of cheese. Thats a total insult! This song should get more credit than that

  • He looks so uncomfortable singing but boy, he sure can sing.....

  • Yes.. lots of memories . someone throgh a casette of this song through near my window 25 years ago.. till today i never knew who it was.... i used to fool a round a lot.. bittersweet.

  • Thanks soooo much!!! This brings back lots of memories. What a great voice too!!!

  • Where did you find this? Truly a classic!

  • AWESOME!!! I have been looking for this one for YEARS!!!

  • decades since i heard this one

  • Thanks for posting this video! One of my favorites of ALL time! I can just close my eyes and drift back in time!
