  • i love your cat wish it could have babies so i could have a kitten if it a female or is a male

  • No.

  • I hope my partner will make one for me, too.

Thank you for sharing your awesome videos.

    Arigatogozaimasu.

  • Those look absolutely fantastic...I need learn some more sewing techniques, I can hardly even sew on a sewing machine

  • Houzan, could you tell me the material your wife uses to make Tekko? Thank you.

  • Base metal is cotton.

I(we) judge a color and a quality and order it specially from a special store.

We tie up old Tekko with string.

However, because hard to use it, my wife use magic tape by my hope.

  • She wouldn't happen to sell these, would she? I would love pair for myself, but haven't the skill to craft these.

    And as always, great videos.

  • She says that she wants to "present it only to the most friendly people".

Therefore she does not want to sell it.

I think so, too. Therefore I presented it only to the best friend who did knife throwing.

  • Understandable. I was also wondering what type of shuriken you like to throw best, I am planning on ordering a few through flyingsteel friday night.

    Thank you for responding!

  • Please select it by a direction of your interest and your budget.

I made "Long" of Mumyou-ryu to be able to support distance of 18 meters from 7 meters.

However, general indoor,"With hole" will be good.

I made it to be able to support distance from 5m to 11m.

Two these are made by my theory.

However, when you want lighter safe Shuriken for indoor, "528-flyingsteel " will be good.

  • i love far eastern clothing so much! I want to wear a silk shirt to my mother's wedding ^^

  • When you say "Oriental clothing", there is it in various ways.

India, Japan, China, Republic of Korea, Vietnam, a tie.

Culture and a know-how and a material are different in each.

Do you like clothes of which nation?

    __________Thanks a lot.____________

  • Quick question, what is the pattern on top of the tekko and does it mean anything? Many thanks

  • It is "Kuji" of Japanese line drawing.

  • Your spouse in just like you, very talented, my regards to her and you^^.

  • Thank you.(^,^)

Tekko of a Japanese souvenir shop is really cheap.("Asakusa" of Tokyo, for example.)

Besides, it is for those biggest problem to be "too small" for a hand of European and American people.

  • It seems that way as you demostrated^^. My Mom made me a pair, that they were made of simple material but they work^^. Thank you^^.

  • Houzan sensei, Your skills are improving! your sword throwing is becoming more accurate. I like the "tekko" which your partner made for you. Would you happen to be selling any? and would it be strange for a foreigner to wear a "tekko" around in Japan? Thank you.

  • Even if Tekko arranges it by designer of Paris Collection, I think that not funny at all.

I consider it is not to be strange even if you take it in a Western fashion.

A basic paper pattern is very simple.

It become elegant or coarsen, depending on selection of fabric.

As for making it politely in earnest, it takes time.

Therefore I think that we do not sell it.

There is it in a store of Buddhist altar fittings, a store of a tool of a Japanese festival, a souvenir shop in Japan.

  • Great video. I have made some test pair of tekko a while ago, some made of metal, some made of paper for designing purposes. Cute cat, I adore cats! I used to own two, one was orange striped and we named him "George" and the other was black so we named him "Midnight".

  • That was an excellent video Sensei , it was nice to see how your partner made the Tekko and to see the cat again. Your throwing skills are extraordinary . Thank you for sharing.

  • Your cat looks exactly like mine! Mine is the same color and everything!

Thank you for showing how to make the Tekko!

I will try to make some of my own now!!!

  • 5 star video. =)
