Excellent! I will grab this for my post today at my vegan myspace and thank you for posting a video response for prop-2 for the public blindly thinks the animals will soon be treated "humane" which we know that will not be the case. That means more consumption thus more suffering.
On of the major chicken-makers had to stop calling their chickens "chickens" as they had been genitically altered to the point the "chickens" no longer biologically resembled chickens.
i spent sunday afternoon with a group of chickens who live in a very safe concrete house, on legs safe from the fox behind a nice high wire fence. they're all colours and sizes and they are only there for love and eggs, family community chickens. the eggs taste great, they're the only eggs i eat, free eggs from happy birds. nice.
forgot to mention the chickens {and ducks and geese - they're part of the community too} have a tall fence around a very clean yard with a deep puddle in nice cool mud, with a dust bath separate from the main area. i couldn't have been in better company had i been in the world's most expensive restaurant with the world's richest people.
they need the fence and house on legs because the fox gets in quick and frightens them if it can - they have heart attacks then from fear and die sad.
sounds like a trilogy of events here, I don't know who to feel the worst for, the chickens, the fox, or the rich that go blind from all that cash! That mud pool sounds nice though.
Sounds nice, I met an old gentleman in GA who took VERY good care of his chickens, just an older man who wakes up everyday and talks to them like their his ol' lady! perhaps we should post that footage as a follow up!
They are quite talkative, actually, with a wide range of sounds that I miss hearing. I never got any eggs to use from mine, and I never would have sent them to be slaughtered,
I kept them as pets who helped me with my garden by eating bugs that were devouring it.
I gave them grit and bags of feed that they and the wild birds ate scattered on my dirt driveway. But they seemed to always want the dogs' kibble instead. They loved that stuff.
I have it on my profile information. I will use this with the prop 2 video.
thanks

I know a woman who eats chicken - she says it relaxes her - this after 50 years vegetarian! We still love her though, she's our grandma!

The Beatles, song "Yesterday" is about a chicken egg, and was originally titled "Scrambled Eggs".

Utubia,
Please do, I miss keeping chickens.
They are quite talkative, actually, with a wide range of sounds that I miss hearing. I never got any eggs to use from mine, and I never would have sent them to be slaughtered,
