I was a DJ in the 80's...the best thing about it was getting the crowd rowdy. You could play "Shook Me All Night Long" follow it with "Billie Jean" and wrap it up with "Funky Cold Medina" and the floor stayed PACKED! DJ's today have NO personality. They stand there and play music without ANY commitment to the crowd having a good time.

thelaxstr26::There are clubs that play oldies . They arnt that hard to find either . Most major cities have them . Try the phone book . The biggest hurdle is just going into one . Once you have , youll have the time of your life ! ! The people that go there are just like you and me . Very mellow yet full of energy . Just like in this video..Girls really love these places too.The one thing about that era is everyone did there own thing , and no one criticized anyone else , we all just had fun !

Everyone says they dont care but they do . Very few people live their own life because they are too busy living others. Look at the movies . Indeed. I took upon myself to do something and went full steam ahead for an Anime Convention here in Hawai'i called Kawaii Kon, and did a spirited dance number front and center on the stage before a 200-400+ audience using this beat-kickin' song. Crazy arse dancing paid off with overwhelming applause of approval and cheers. My quote/ say of advice to the younger set: "Stay cool, stay strong, and you won't go wrong!" Wilson Pickett beats at an all Japanese-themed con... Woo! :)
