"We sacrificed fun for better graphics" If you're talking about Sims 3 , I agree.The graphics in Sims 3 are supposedly "better" than 1 or 2 but the sims themselves are fugly. (well in my opinion they are) Sims 2 is really fun though. It has great graphics and it's fun. Sims 1 was fun for me back in the day but I haven't played it in years...But since sims 2 graphics are better and it would probably be hard to find all the old mods for sims 1 again I'm sticking with 2.

i love to see these old commercials. i've been playing the sims since i was in 5th grade. starting with the sims 1, and then all of the expansions. when i heard about the sims 2, i had to get it. then i got nightlife, and then university. in 2006 i was up to date with when the next expansion (open for business) was coming out and from then on i've gotten every sims 2 expansion pack on it's release date. i am almost 16 now. i've loved the sims for a very long time, and i still do.

Don't try arguing with people on these sorts of videos xD They're too busy with neophobia and nostalgia to acknowledge anything that goes against Sims 1. :D I LOVE sims 1, but in all honesty sims 2 and 3 have much more in them. Even though I LOVE sims 3, I still play sims 1 every now and then. ^_^ It is rather fun.

@JoelB3783 I don't know about them, but I really hate the graphics in Sims 3. Not to mention those idiotic objectives. I don't want to have a "point" to play a game. A "goal". I play The Sims to have fun, not to complete some requirement. Therefore, Sims 1 > Sims 3.
