  • what is the name of the film?

  • Chip is a sneaky devil.

  • @ppvpz This is indeed a 707-320. The fin on the bottom (ventral fin) was standard on all the 320s and even the early 320Bs (Pan Am and TWA both had some of them). Later 320Bs and 320Cs did not have it. The pylons with humps meant there was a turbocompressor on that engine for cabin pressurization, etc. 320Bs (except AA) had them on engines 2,3, and 4. AA had just 2 on theirs. There were many differences among 707s. Put 'Ultimate 707 guide' in your search engine to see all the differences.

  • The Panamerican airplane that is parked is not a 707-320 but a 707-420.Which are the evidences??The Conway engines and the large tail fin on the bottom aft.The 320 has no bottom tail fin and the 100 has a thin one.The 320 has a different pylon on the left engine ( #1 ).The 100s ( all ) and only the firsts 320s have different pylon on #1 and #4.The 400s have only one type of pylons.

  • Even though the later turbofan engines were better in every way than the turbojets, I like the turbojets. They looked sleeker.

  • wht film is it?

  • @prymcik1 Its an old early 1960's episode of the television show, My Three Sons, starring Fred MacMurray.

  • Kids a bad ass.

  • Wow, how expensive was a jetliner ticket in 1962?

Had to have been a good chunk of the average yearly salary, there wasn't any Southwest cattle car service then!

  • Much cheaper than today! Wish I was around back then.

  • The price was cheaper, but I mean in equivalent value. I bet a ticket was a much larger chunk of one's yearly income back then - that made it a lot more special and important.

  • Ahh okay, nvm. I would have no idea.

  • I LOVE those JT3As!!

  • @cheetajet

    Those are JT4A as 716PA was a 707-321
