Is it just me or do they sound a million times better live?
I remember seeing em' at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne and it was magical. The sound was quiet and clear/sharp thanks to the mixer keeping it low... and I'll never forget watching the band... standing in the audience and seeing only the top halves of the band. When one would get to his feet and play with the hood it looked the way it sounded: spiritual and mysterious. Loved it.
@yovioleatuzorramadre My vote would be for Estradasphere, but that's just me. I love both bands and consider them to be very important within the scheme of the universe. I think I read somewhere that they actually toured together several years ago which would have been nothing short of mind blowing.
Amazing! This is the most practiced, tightest, and most creative touring band in existence. All hail Trey Spruance, the most underrated guitarist (sazist?). In this age of autotune and souless production, having SC3 is a national treasure.
Eh, Trey with Mr. Bungle? - I don't see how you could say he's not *at least* good. I'd say he's just very restrained/reserved, which isn't a bad thing.
@burningsinews Well your right about the composing part, that is his best attribute, which in of itself is amazing if that's all he was capable of, but he is an incredible guitarist, in fact one of the best ever! And i've never heard a Saz player? Sax? He does play Trumpet pretty well and obviously keyboards. Oh the Saz, that's what he''s playing here? It's probably like comparing Ravi Shankar's technique with George harrison who's not nearly as good but as good as he needed to be.

the song title is a clue :)

@tamarindophoto i dont think he's that much good of a guitar player and most certainly not a great saz player. trey's strength lies in composing.
you should go watch some real turkish folks play saz, they are insane.
