I think I got a better idea. A machine that looks like a washing machine. You put a trash in it, make it turn in to a fresh fruit. Guess what I'm using science, the machine would break down the object into atomical level and rebuild structures. Yeah it's a sick idea but I don't know how to make it.

im planning on entering this years contest, but i really dont know what they are looking for, i mean this designs are useless, the coocoon has a cool concept and the dishwasher seems practical, but i thought they would be looking for something more ... "possible to put into production"

this is the biggest bullshit ever.. industrial design should be about making things with the items you have or improving every day items.. not taking a concept you saw on the jetsons or startrek and giving it a 2005 mac/ipod look to it... this shit is not "brilliant" its just a waste of time

Wow, most of these designs are pretty terrible. Using super advanced technology to perform such trivial tasks in terrible inefficient ways. A flying drone that can only collect a cup of water at a time? an android that plants one tree before effective becoming useless? A teleporting fridge? Seriously? they might as well said a wizard would just conjure up meals for us. If you don't know ANYTHING about a technology, where's the challenge in designing for it and how can you evaluate the design?
