I went to galveston high school. It was cool ! I had fun meeting the people . We could go to the beach on lunch break . The nabor hood was awsome . I started surfing in galveston , at the sea wall . Got my first board at salvation army . I loved the vibe. The skate boarders were the best i had ever seen on the sea wall . And i lost my virginity under a palm tree . Rug burns !!! Stars ripped across the sky ! Memories so sweet ! Thanks galveston !

There is nothing awesome about Galveston, or Texas in General. I live there! I have a historical home and you can't leave anything outside or it get stolen the schools are getto, and the water sucks too. Better places to go and live.

Galveston Island is a nice beach,but the mississipi river run-off makes the water very brown.despite their brown water it is considered one of the best beaches around in texas and has over 5 milion visitors a year!~~ would not say is the best,but many consider it.
