2:35 Tugger's face tho! And Alonzo's! It's like they can't believe they managed to kick that high! I love how they all look so happy in this, and Rumpleteazer's little twirl at 2:42 was cute, her dancing in general was contagiously joyful, Jemima too- damn, I love it all!!!

I've wondered about that, too. I think it's because they fear their own inevitable fate of growing old and ugly. Grizabella is like a walking, breathing reminder of what the future holds for them. Humans fear old age, too, but these cats are much more honest about it.
