no you dont need internet connection to use bluetooth...it works perfectly on my motorola HT820...just try to restore again to 3.0 firmware and have it jailbroken then it should do its job XD

its because you have to be on version 3.0 or later or it would not work, and the bluetooth device has to support a2dp.

bluetooth doesn't support ipod touch 1g if you have a ipod touch 2g then go to settings, general, scroll to you see bluetooth then turn it on. if it doesn't appear its because you have a ipod touch 1g or your Ipod is mest up or something..

no you can't send music to a phone, the ipod only supports one type of bluetooth and doesn't support it from the phone, but usually your phone can detect the ipod but your ipod can't.

@Robski2008 Bluetooth on the iPod and iPhone are crippled. The iPod can only connect to bluetooth headphones, and other iPod and iPhone with bluetooth wireless gaming.

Yes it does i called apple and they told me that everything from the new 3.0 update will work for the 1st gen exept the peer to peer gaming using bluetooth but the bluetooth stereo and headphones do work so yay for us !!!!

it does not have the broadcom bluetooth chip inside, so it does not have bluetooth, and the peer-to-peer uses bluetooth. That's why the apple guy you supposedly talked to says peer-to-peer doesn't work.

It can do absolutely nothing with cell phones as far as I know...on my cell phone it sees the iPod as a stereo Bluetooth device, which is kind of odd, but they still can't interact with eachother, at least for right now
