bird keepers do not use the pvc play jim!!!! it splinters and powders wich gets caught in the birds throat and will cause ur bird to die have seen these made the right way for info contact rentzles bird farm they will agree...... and slurpee not trying to be an ass just beeing honest bub
careful man, ur birds toes or tongue can get caught on those hooks. My friends cockatoo had a similar problem and had to have some of the tongue amputated. I would use a pear, or c-link and drill a small (1/8"?) hole diagonally on ur crane to fit in that link.
Make sure those eye-hooks are stainless steel man, cuz if it bits it, it could get metal poisoning or tongue stuck.
Try using cotton rope to hang things or nontoxic glues.
PS: just for grip maybe add some med-bandaging around dowel
